Awesome camera and shave! I just ordered the solo razor and it arrives tomorrow! I also ordered a cherry tobacco soap and aftershave that should arrive Monday, so I’ll save the shave for that! Again great stuff!
Hi Heiko, vielen Dank für deine aussagekräftige Einschätzung dieses Gerätes, da braucht man eigentlich nicht weiter überlegen. Werde bitte bald wieder gesund. Grüße Artur
Wie Gehts Heiko Nice to have you back and glad your feeling better. Nice presentation and like your new camera - especially for the close-up shots. Nice Parker razor and good price point.
Thanks for the video ! I own both the Parker and the Leaf Thorn and Twig razors. I tend to prefer the Thorn for its superior precision, though it has unfortunately developed some rust. The seller in the Netherlands (not the manufacturer) has agreed to replace the rusted model but noted that he discontinued selling this model. The Parker feels just right in terms of weight distribution. However, I do wish the Parker was a bit more aggressive in its shave. For daily shaving, the Leaf is more user-friendly when it comes to loading blades and provides enhanced precision for tricky areas like under the nose. However, it requires a special Torx tool to disassemble and clean, which demands more effort compared to the maintenance-free Parker. Despite these differences, both brands remain my top picks among all others. Eventually, I might stop using the Leaf razors due to the maintenance they require.
@@greenerick I own the Henson AL13 in Medium aggressiveness, and I absolutely adore it! The lightweight design is fantastic, and despite being labeled "Medium," I've never experienced a nick or cut. That said, I do notice a slight drag or resistance during my shaves. Could this sensation be attributed to the razor's relatively wide and flat head design, which increases the surface area in contact with my skin? Or perhaps it's the tight blade gap and precise tolerances that Henson claims minimize irritation? I'm curious to know your thoughts on the matter.
Irritation/redness was due to soap/cream. One way to discern if it's the blade or the soap is to check for areas where the skin is visibly reddish/irritated, like the area between the eye socket and sideburns where soap still makes some contact while blade doesn't make any.
Great efficient shave! The new camera looks really good. I was surprised to see that I had higher resolution options when I started the video. Thanks for the review and take care. Hope you feel better soon!
Nice shave Heiko. I enjoyed this Parker better than the injector they offer. It was a fun head to head comparing it to the thorn & others. Both razors have pros/cons. For daily shaves I find the Parker has great efficiency
How would you rate the aggressiveness compared to my Merka 34c? Thanks. I use my 34c with the Parker blade. I've tried so many blades over the years and I keep going back to Parker and I've just stumbled across this single razor
@@Heiko-shaves thanks for the reply, any other razor you would recommend that's stainless Steel that's similar to the 34c.. i seem to strip the head thread's some how. Cheers
Hello Heiko, Good Evening, I was seriously waiting for your review of this razor as your honest review always help me to go for a product or not but now I am going for it, this razor may be mild but seems to be quite efficient, I am almost a daily shaver and have collected razors from almost of all the renowned brands, my daily go to razor is Merkur 37C with a Gillete 7o'clock Super Platinum Black Blade as these blades are easily available in INDIA, THANK YOU VERY MUCH BROTHER, wish you good health and all the success to your channel, from INDIA 🙏🙏🙏
Nice shave Heiko. I never have good luck with single edge razors. Some Bay Rum soaps have clove in them and some people have skin reaction to the clove or the cinnamon. The Pumpkin Spice does not have clove. Have a great week and get well soon. 👍
I bought the solo edge when it was first released, did you get the new version with the added magnet? I think it works great and parker blades work well in it and they're not my favorite blade.
I am still pretty inexperienced in the SE world. I have only tried 5 or 6 so far. A few gave me trouble but the SoloEdge and of course the Leaf razors are very usable.
Hey Heiko, Just got one of these after my "adventure" with the Leaf twig. I'd rank it in the middle. I do wish I could split a Feather--I've tried that--but, as you suggest, not a perfect fit. I get about three shaves out of a Parker blade. And some issue with clogging even though I'm using it in the shower and try to wash it through. Have to be a bit careful with alignment. So...good, not great for me. Close to half the price of a Leaf it that matters to folks. Thanks!

Great Shave with the Parker solo, appreciate the mention. Glad you’re feeling better. 👊🏻🙌🏻
You bet

Excellent shave Heiko, the new camera looks great. Feel better.

It is pretty inexpensive. It isn't exactly heirloom quality but It does get the job done. Thanks for your comment.
Wow Heiko! Visuals are looking crispy clean!
Thanks

Check out the Highproof single edge razor and Henson al13 DE razor

Thanks for the review. Have you done a review of the Proof Whiskey razor?
Yes I just recently did that.

Great video Heiko. The new camera is a big improvement. Glad to have you back btw
Thank you
Awesome shave and review 🌟😎💈💙⭐️🪒🔥🤩⚡️✋🏼✨❤️🔥
Thank you kindly
Hope you feel better Heiko, I noticed the second that I clicked on the video how much your camera quality had improved. It's looking great!
Thank you
Nice video, including quality.
Was looking at the solo edge to add to the team. Will try one.
Get well, thanks, and cheers.
Thank you

Thanks for sharing. I might do a comparison to my friend Twig or Thorn. I enjoyed your approach to the Lambda Razors. Cheers

The solo Edge is pretty mild. I think it is similar to the 34C but it doesn't work as well as other single edge razors like the twig or the thorn.

Great shave Heiko, and although it seems just little things you mention, I believe it's just those little things that can make or break a razor !
Very true!

I think you mentioned that before. I might have to pay more attention to that. Now I remember, I got the pumpkin spice from you, correct?
@@Heiko-shaves Yes that was me.

Yes, I got the one with the magnet. I agree, the blades are pretty good.
Hello. Could you recommend 3 adjustable DE razors and 3 single edge razors? Thank you
I'll make a video about it.
OK. ¿Pero cual te gusta mas?. Parker Soloedge o leaf Twig or Thorn?. Gracias.
Very interesting razor - I often tried SE razors, but many of them are to aggressive for me...

I like your new Parker solo edge, it's really awesome razor thanks for sharing this one 🪒💈
My pleasure!!
Hello Heiko, Just ordered a SoloEdge and looking forward to using it. Will be the first single edge for me. Nice review. Best regards, Glenn
Awesome, thank you!
