Good technique there especially the rolls..nice and smooth. That drum sounds pretty good right out of the box. I have an old (80's vintage) Corder high-tension marching snare it's quite a bit 'drier' than that snare. Of course I got it for $50.00 as part of a multi-drum deal from a local music store so I can't complain much. Planning to pick up a good pipe-band snare soon (lot of difference between those and 'normal' marching snares) as I get calls to join in with bagpipers for parades, ceremonies etc. Keep on drummin' you sound great.
I used to want to be a snare drummer. Then I said, let me do tenors instead. You got more potential than any of the people that I know played snare. Kick some ass dude!
Traditional grip takes some practice. I i was once told that traditional grip only uses 13 muscle groups while matched grip uses 26. Im not sure how scientifically accurate that is but it boils down to you use more muscles in matched grip. So you have to work on and strengthen the muscles in traditional.
A common misconception is between full blindness and visual impairment. Being blind is having no vision in any eyes which is pretty rare. But more commonly found is visual impairment which is where there is some vision in one or both of the eyes. He may be fully blind or can see some out of one or both.
Andrew Fivecoate yep. I recently acquired a yamaha SFZ marching snare. I installed the Evans system Blue head on the top and an Evans 360 clear on the bottom. Now it’s the best sounding snare I’ve played.
Brandon Cox and put a Remo Falam bottom. Used to play on drums like yours 20 years ago and lugs would barely hold! That's why modern marching snares now have "free floating" lug posts.
Great job. This shows that if your blind deaf or both you can still learn to do things that you have passion for
wait hes blind?
I have a major hearing loss and the only way I can learn new music is by the paper music and by ear which has baffled doctors
@@skymanderggg_9792 look at his name
Th ending was super clean and very professional!
mate ur a inspiration to all drummers u need at least millions of subscribers good job keep it up
You sound like one of those U.S marching band snare drum players who plays for the military keep it up

great to see you pursuing a passion despite what would seem like a setback. Nice job, keep going at it!
I play snare and you did great for a blind person you are a great inspiration❤

Try traditional grip cause we can see you mastered the match grip
I can't roll with traditional grip. It's hard to get the stick to rebound.
Brandon Cox it was hard for me at first too but practice like that and keep doing that and you'll get it eventually and it will feel natural
Okay
Just learn it.
Brandon Cox Literally every too, also just keep playing with trad. even though it might feel restarted you everitnslly naturally get better
drum sounds very good and you play really well, thanks for the post!
Jackie Keenan thanks
Sounding great! Not a bad sounding snare!

Cool snare drum....sound good!

Hi you are good at the drum
How’s the tension on it?
@Percussion-clips it’s pretty low actually. Definitely not like a regular marching snare
@ ok thx
how much did it cost
I subscribed
I want the high tension one
The Clout Wizard a Yamaha SFZ is better.
Is it around the same price?
You can probably get a used one for around the same price
I have that same drum just black
Where did you get the marching snare from your playing was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jaiden Reaux amazon
Coool!
Looks like a field snare
Commander Calcium it basically is
I have same one but black

It’s a 14x12
@@brandontheblinddude5302 oh okay thank you
@@richard.dorado._3881 I honestly wouldn’t recommend this particular drum for anyone. I had 2 of the lugs literally fall off
That’s not how u hold the sticks but u are good at drumming
I subbed

Dylan Destackelberg because

Dylan Destackelberg I'm blind.
oh shit dude... I'm so sorry
Cheap as hell

That thing is cheap as shit
Dude...you for real??? This is NOT a high tension marching snare lolll!
Phil Parent yes it is. It still has the stock head on it because I just took it out of the box.
Put a high tension marching head on it, for example; a Remo Black Max head and crank it all the way.....I guarantee your drum won`t last very long!
Phil Parent that's actually what I'm going to do. Good call.
Brandon Cox and put a Remo Falam bottom. Used to play on drums like yours 20 years ago and lugs would barely hold! That's why modern marching snares now have "free floating" lug posts.
Phil Parent so you're saying I shouldn't put a high tension head on?
