Yes there was a green one! It was an exclusive not sure what it was exclusive to. There was a tp1 total system in the same green which I think was argos exclusive so it’s either argos or littlewoods.

We imagine having a jolly old time pushing this yellow beauty around our carpets. The colour alone is enough to lift your spirits.
We seem to remember seeing some green TP2 U2106 pictures from Sam?? (Beko1987) in 2016?? or so of a full machine breakdown - we assume they are still there on the Manchester Vacs Forum.
In some ways it is great that Hoover were so crazy as it keeps collecting a challenge and always leaves something new to discover and learn.
    👍

Haha couldn't agree more! What on earth were they doing throwing all those different models out the door?

I always remember being devastated when my mum came home with a blue turbo 2 in 1993, i had been wanting a henry. Ironically the turbo 2 was an excellent cleaner and i was sad when she gave it away in the late 90s.

I'm just getting into Turbopower II's, I agree they are decent machines and so nice to work on, So far I have a 1996 U2462 in Tropical Green which I did motor bearings on and a 2001 U2129 in red which needed next to nothing. I remember my mate's parents having a late blue one which his dad absolutely loved, Possibly a U2107 that lasted bloody ages.

I always think the yellow colour on the 90s hoover turbopowers and purepowers looks really nice.normally offered on lower spec units I'm guessing but I think the colour must have sold these in the first place, plus the economical price point of course.great video as always Steve.

My late mum bought the yellow & black 1500 watt Telios in the year 2000. I still use it weekly when cleaning for my father. It's really quite good. My mum also had the yellow & black Purepower U3125 for a year from 2001 to 2002, before it was replaced with a Dyson DC04 de Stjil as it really wasn't all-that. The Purepower then bounced its way around the family until 2003, before arriving back at my mums house, where she used it upstairs until the motor burnt out soon after.

It makes me wonder how many they sold, because the Co-Op store I worked in got that model soon after, as a one-off line. We frequently got stock (usually from Hoover) that was built for other retailers who didn't take it in the end.

Got one of these and love it, but the sole/base plate has broken at the front. I’ve tried without success to find a replacement. ☹️

It always bothered me how people put the extension wand in the wrong way around. Nearly every one I have had has been the same. How do you get it wrong? The cut up for where it lives is wider at the bottom, this puts huge strain on the top clip that holds it in.
