I have HeroQuest the game for my Atari ST and I absolutely love the music for the game on the ST, and I just love it when people make their own remixes of the HeroQuest game music, very well done indeed. 😎👍
This scene is on the board game and computer game box. I've decided they are all dead, the wizards need to step up and join forces if this was on the board they would certainly be dead. Musics good too
In fact, you got them in the Main Theme at 3:20 min. Golden Brown, from The Strangers. Maybe your comment was ironic and you meant about it in any case xD dunno
Forgot to answer this. I guess they ended up not supporting MT-32. As for the tracks, Barry Leitch designed a tracker program called MEdit and seems to have uploaded it online at some point. The download comes with many of his midis, including unreleased content.
@@syllogism Oh, that's pretty cool! I'm not sure it's so much a matter of "supporting" it, as you can still very much use the MT-32, though it's just an infinite loop of the first song you put in this compilation, it's the same for even the AdLib music and even the PC Speaker output. I'm wondering if it's like I said and it was just too much space, since from the size of the ROM it seems the game shipped on only a single Floppy Disc. Kind of a damn shame though, these unused tracks are actually really cool, and would've added a lot more depth to the game.
@@Cr4z3dAh. I'm not sure about the release chronology, but perhaps he didn't have time to compose these for the original dos release and intended them to be included with an expansion/re-release. If the game shipped on a 3½-floppy, there should have been plenty of space and the tracks themselves take very little space. I found a Barry Leitch interview where he even briefly talks about the MT-32 and mentions Hero Quest in that context but sadly doesn't provide an explanation.
@@syllogism An Expansion makes sense...there's mention in the actual instruction manual for the DOS version that Gremlin was going to mail out Expansion Packs for the game at some point in the futurue, probably based on the Expansions that were made for the real board game, though maybe some original stuff as well.
Absolutely cracking tune for playing HQ
THE BEST THING ABOUT HEROQUEST, IS THE SOUNDTRACK
I bought this game for my Amiga 500 from my pocket money. Good game, easy to play and nice to hear. Thanks for posting the soundtrack!

The cover art for this game is very GOLDEN and BROWN. Perhaps they should have incorporated those ideas into the Main Theme song somehow.

@@Earedel85 bingo :D
Holy shit, these extra tracks are amazing! Why were fhey removed? Was it to save space on the Floppy? Where'd you find these extra unused sequences?
