Me pareció fascinante. En el video vemos cómo se ha deshumanizado el trabajo, que debe ser un hecho social y para el beneficio de todos y no un mero hecho esclavizate, donde todos somos no más que peones de otro, aun cuando también tengamos a otros de peón.
Es verdad, y el problema no esta solo en que el trabajador se sienta esclavizado si no que el empleador se crea superior y de mas valor.
Se siente esclavizado porque hay una dominación/explotación del patrón hacia el obrero; que lo crea el sistema de propiedad privada.
Le pondría como título alterno a este vídeo: Enajenación del trabajo de Marx.

この雰囲気が好き。発想が素晴らしい。
今身の回りにあるもの全て、誰かが手間暇かけて作ってくれた大切な何かだもんね。ふとした時に忘れそうになるけれど。そうやって、いろんなシステムにいちいち人を使わなくて済むように、効率化できるように、人間は文明を生み出したわけで。それら全てを機械にやらせているのが今の世の中だろうね。
人を椅子にしたり、荷物を掛けたり、足として使ったりするのはどうにも倫理的に良くないように感じるけれど、実際は自分も足拭きマットとして使われている…と考えると、なんともパンチの効いた皮肉だなと思った。
みんな黙って仕事に従事して、彼自身も当然のように人に足でふまれる。けれど、彼が床に寝そべって、密かに眠っているのを見て、少し心がホッとした。エンドロール後に、彼の家のスタンドライトが、ヘッド部分を投げ捨てているのを見て、微笑ましく思った。みんなそんなもんだよね！

That standard alarm-clock beep, the one used in the beginning of the short? That noise is so deeply ingrained into my husband's psyche that he, next to me in bed, stone-cold asleep as a narcoleptic boulder, just shot awake because he barely heard the alarm in the video through my headphones, and his brain hit panic mode because it's not *supposed* to be a workday.

Mucha gente en la caja de comentarios piensa que el tema central del video es la esclavitud de los empleo, pero creo que la idea principal es darnos a entender que detrás de cada servicio que utilizamos a diario como una lámpara, una silla, los sistemas de tránsito, etc., fueron ideados tras un esfuerzo y hechos por otras personas. Ahí podemos ver como todo se conecta.

Había un programa televisivo en Argentina hace ya unos cuantos años, que se llamaba "Caloi en su tinta" que tenía este tipo de animaciones tan bien hechas, que te captaban desde el inicio, desde el sonido hasta el diseño de las animaciones, la mirada de los personajes de estar viviendo una vida tan rutinaria, donde algo, algún trasfondo tiene que tener la historia y eso atrapa, la calidad del sonido y como se va desarrollando, excelente corto

Al principio del cortometraje, una de las primeras impresiones que tuve es que el protagonista se trataba de un hombre
exitoso y que gracias a su posición económica, podía tener a todos en su poder. Sin embargo, al terminar de verlo,
mi sensación fue otra. Al inicio, el protagonista despierta para ir a trabajar. Durante su trayecto, se va encontrando
con personas
inexpresivas que, al igual que él, se dirigen a trabajar. Una vez que llega su destino el cortometraje finaliza.
Como si simplemente se tratara de una civilización, donde uso de las personas como objetos es parte de la vida cotidiana
y la existencia del hombre se resume en pura y exclusivamente
trabajar sin importar su bienestar o el trato que reciba.
A mi parecer se trata de una alegoría a la sociedad en la que vivimos actualmente. Una sociedad
en que las personas venden su fuerza de trabajo con el fin de obtener dinero y así satisfacer sus necesidades.
Pero es esta dependencia hacia el dinero lo que ha llevado a las personas a trabajar en cosas que no le gustan o a
soportar el agravio de los que mandan.

The subject of the cartoon is about the world of the work in our society. It show how the people live the day-by-day their routines. However, they use each other like things to do mechanical functions. For example, people become support for clothes, another can be a taxi, or signal of traffic.
So, the movie show us the routine of a man who goes to the his employment. He wakes up, shaving, takes his sweater and crosses the city. When he arrives in his work for to job, he seemed not happy. So, he starts his function like one doormat, for people to trample on him.
The cartoon say us about the extreme dehumanization that we are submitted. Where the domination of one man over another make him one insensitive object, becoming alienated from their own human condition.

Basically exposing the hidden human element behind the products and services that allow society to function. These things are done by people, and they are subject to financial and social oppression by the people the bosses they labor for. Capitalism delivers products to consumers as if they magically appear and the credit often goes to business owners but the human labour behind it all is hidden by the system. Also the fact that people are forced to sell themselves in service of others or perform mechanistic tasks turning them into literal machines designed to be programmed by someone else. They don't have their own freedom. Really creative way of depicting these issues I think it's more poignant because of how visually explicit it is.

We live in a society of industrial complexes based on human suffering. A criminal justice system mostly based on extortion, not safety. A medical complex based on ripping out people's organs and filling them full of dangerous chemicals, not allowing for real cures or finding causes. A media industrial complex that feeds us lies and preys on our emotions. A highly industrialized food system based not on nutrition, but empty, genetically modified garbage and tortured animals. A military-industrial complex that goes to endless, preemptive, barbarous wars. An educational system based on churning out little mindless drones who cannot possibly be capable of critical thought, people who will grow up and continue to feed themselves into these other industrial complexes like lemmings walking off a cliff. Oh, and a tyrannical government filled with self-serving, apathetic psychopaths who run it all.
But more and more people are starting to wake up and realize just how tiny the box they've been shoved into really is.

Even though you feel like your life is better then some others' at times, there're still people who are above you. And all that is left to do is to play their doormat. That's actually a reality for many working-class people.

A proposta deste vídeo, na minha visão, é mostrar o quão estamos presos ao sistema, o chefe de família é tratado como rei porque ele tem o emprego e trás o dinheiro para a casa, no entanto em seu trabalho quem é servil é ele mesmo, no decorrer do vídeo, vemos que todos servem a alguém de alguma forma, porque necessitam do emprego. Isto tudo é um ciclo onde quem pode manda, e sempre terá alguém abaixo deste servindo a quem está acima.
E tudo isso pra sempre sustentar alguém acima da pirâmide que só é servido e não serve ninguém

Tristemente hermoso. Es una crítica a la inconsciencia en el uso cotidiano de bienes y servicios por los que alguien trabajó duro.
Pienso que este video muestra algo sobre la experencía de vivir en nuestro mundo. Casi todas las personas en el mundo tienen un trabajo y es una parte grande de nuestros vidas como humanos. En media, humanos pasan un tercer de su vida al trabajo. Esta video muestra la tristeza de un hombre que no le gusta su trabajo y la depresión que viene cuando el trabajo consume la vida.
Pienso que este video también es un metáfora porque muestra muchos acciones y cosas que en realidad no se ocurren como personas que están coches y más. El fin del corto es casi la única parte del corto que da espera sobre el trabajo y pienso que el artista también quiere decir algo sobre el hecho que si no está intentar a escoger y buscar trabajo que se de alegría, va a tener una vida triste.

Excelente cortometraje para reflexionar acerca del modo de vida que impera bajo el capitalismo, donde los valores humanos son sometidos por los poderes económicos. Nos aporta el reflejo de una sociedad apática y enfermiza donde el más fuerte es el que se salva, a costa de pisar al más débil. La cruda y triste realidad.
Muy buena reflexión.
China, Rusia, Cuba y otros no fueron capitalistas y el sistema era (y es) tan o más opresor que en el capitalismo. Lo que yo criticaría es la tendencia del ser humano a esclavizar a sus semejantes. El nombre que le demos al sistema del cuál se vale, es irrelevante.

Miguel Montoro aunque hablo desde la ignorancia xD, porque realmente no sé cómo funciona China, Rusia ni Cuba. "Supuestamente" en esos sistemas el capital está a favor de las personas, es decir, a favor de su calidad de vida. Creo que lo ideal sería lo que dice Mujica, sobre que la calidad de un país se mide por la felicidad de la gente y no por cómo "crece" económicamente.
Creo que este cortometraje representa la integración entre el capitalismo y nuestra cultura/sociedad en la manera acentada. Aunque en la actualidad los personas no son aplastadas físicamente, el corte muestra la jerarquía y la brecha de riqueza en la sociedad hoy. Como el personaje en el corto, estamos en el ciclo eterno para servir una clase alta. Hay un defecto en esta sistema que todo el mundo ha aceptado como el personaje en el corto. Sin preguntar, servimos esos encima de nos y nuestro trabajo está integrado en nuestras identidades. "El Empleo" es un cortometraje poderoso que nos quiere pensar sobre nuestra identidad y rolo en la sociedad.

My father used to wake up at 5am for years, everytime i woke he was never there with us, and when he came back he was so tired that he couldnt even talk but sleep. When it was raining, snowing or when the sun was too hot he still went to work so that one day, when the time comes, we will enter the cycle and do the same for our kids.
Same my dad still does it. And it's because of him I feel even more motivated to work. To never complain because no matter what we do in the end we have to strive to survive.

It would be nice if videos like this would actually present a solution to the problem they portray. I hate being a "cog in the machine" as much as the next guy, and I love the sentiment of the dude at the end who throws off his lampshade and walks away. But it's not that easy. Most of us can't just say "screw it, I'm not doing this crap anymore." If we could, we would have done so long ago. So until the people who make videos like this can give us a viable alternative, this is just rubbing salt in the wound.
