If things were right in the world, these social influencers with their ASMR videos would be viewed as a waste of time to watch, and guys like you that can incinerate a fretboard would be making a bazillion bucks. I had an ASMR experience when I was 13 years old and heard Speed King by Deep Purple for the first time. After the intro and Jon Lord's organ stops, Ian Paice destroys the serene silence and everyone goes bananas. That's when a s l o w tingling sensation went from the back of my neck down my spine. Was that ASMR?

I would think that would come closer to being an ASMR experience than someone whispering in a mic or scratching foam.
