- In this video we will take the mamosa flower from the mamosa tree and make a mood lifting tincture. Only because this has to be said please do your own research and no I am not a doctor.
On Moonshiners a few years ago,Mike and Jerry made moonshine from these flowers
💗mimosa trees sweet smelling pink blossoms memories from childhood 💗
No need for the flowers just the Everclear alone will lift your mood.
But rain washes them
You have a point 🤔 think I'll make a washed batch to compare!
There’s a big one of these growing right in my backyard and I’ve always wondered if they were used for anything medicinal. Now I can’t wait for the next bloom so I can make some happy hooch!
You should find another way without using alcohol. Alcohol is a depressant and will mess with many people's mindset.
Dont show folks how EARTH is better than CRACK.
TROUBLE FOLLOWS😊
I only wished I could get some flowers off of my tree. It’s up so high you can’t reach it. I would love to make the tea that would be nice. This looks beneficial I heard you could eat the stems they say the stems got a lot of nutrition in it too.
You could probably gather some right after they fall if they're fresh. ☺️
Prune it...aggressively. I am talking nothing over 6ft.
The bark is just as good, if not better. Boil the bark for 15 min and enjoy
@elithepitbulldog2209 Is it bitter? My experience with bark is that it tastes...like...bark
Maybe I’ll just make a flower essence with water and add a little alcohol for preservation
Dry and smoke the flowers
@@JP1NYC why
@@abundantharmony only a idiot would ask why.
I plan to harvest quite a bit of mimosa flowers. What's the best way to preserve them in bulk? I can't buy a case of alcohol. If I dry them, can they still be used for tincture or are those always fresh?
Do you ever mix the flowers with bark? Do you use root bark, too?
What else than liquor? Alcohol is a depressant so I want something else
Youre using a dropperful at a time Youll be ok karen

Did you use Everclear? Brings back memories. Lol 😅
Yes, it does! So glad I didn't walk towards that light!! Nothing like a near death experience! 😄😆😆
what kind of alcohol should i use
All of the ones i harvest have these teeny tiny little bugs on them. i can get the little silk worms off, and other small ones, but these are impossible to get off without washing. can i put them in the freezer briefly?
This is my problem too. I dont mind flicking away a beetle or two but i dont know what to do about the tint bugs
Just strain it well after. The bugs won't hurt nothing with all that alcohol
Just curious about what you ended up doing? Not sure what to do with the jar I have now. Thinking of doing a new batch and rinsing them with water first to have something to compare
Bugs are on everything. Just got to make peace with it
What alcohol do you recommend? Could I use vodka?
Mine are covered with bugs they are all over what am I supposed to do
What kind?
Good stuff brother!
Does mimosa work well as a glycerite?
What is the alcohol used? TY
How many drops
You’re awesome
I'm new to mimosa (happy Tree)tea. I've seen a few TH-cam videos and read some articles on the web, probably 100 of each. Today 6/5/2024 I decided to make for the first time some mimosa flower tea. I pulled about a cup full from my tree, took them inside and was getting ready to boil water to pour over the flowers when I noticed the cup was loaded with small white worms. WTF. NO mention on any site about this!!! I threw the flowers out and decided to stick to my Zoloft. But, in the worms defense, they did seem very happy 😂
Awesome advice. Thank you for sharing your technique and ideas.❤❤
Can I use the blooms from a Mimosa tree that is diseased with what I believe is Mimosa wilt? Isn't that the disease they get?? Thanks!💚
I hear the seeds are bad? Is this true?
Yes. I keep reading that they are extremely toxic 😅
@@Selena8461 The actual seeds, in the paper like leaf are yes. I think the little green pods are not but prob not good for ya.
use way more flowers and cook off your alcohol and you only need a couple drops ✌️💚
In which climate do mimosa grow?
Love your pantry! Thx for your recipe!
So cool🫶🏻 can you use something other then alcohol that’s a big No No for me. Bearding responsibly 😍 I like it🤟🏻
You can just dry the flowers and use about a tablespoon to a cup of boiled water for about 5 or 10 minutes. Sweeten with a bit of honey. No alcohol required.
You can also use vinegar, although it only lasts about a year as opposed to many years with alcohol based tincture. But it's ok, its easy to make and they come back every year 😊
Hey tincture is the correct spelling🤗❤️🙏🏽
Are the red mimosa the same?
So pretty and useful.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing 👍🏿
Sir can you add it In 14% wine will wine help it take its properties out aswell for acouple weeks ?
You can use wine. It wo t be a strong as using vodka, ut will still pull some benefit of the flower
Will be a mild medicine
memosa the happy tree :)
Hey man, thanks so much for tuning to the channel tonight for the Livestream.
I am looking for fellow creators to have on the channel, would you be interested in joining me on a livestream in the near future?? 👨🌾
great video
Does this stuff work
How on earth are you supposed to get all the tiny bugs off without washing??🫣
They part of the medicine 😂
They will drown in the alcohol 😂
Just curious, what did you end up doing about the tiny bugs? I have a jar about a week in and I see a good bit of bugs have collected at the bottom.
@CleezyClark When you go to strain it, use an extra layer of cheesecloth to catch all the finest particulates. Ive also started flipping my jars with the lids meshed for a few hours before i put the alcohol in just to give the inch worms and other critters a chance to run (some dont get the hint, though).
@@CleezyClark When I harvest, I usually spread the plant parts/flowers of whatever I'm collecting on a table outside and let it sit for a couple of hours. The bugs will escape and crawl out. Haven't had much of an issue with anything so far from that method.
It's kinda fucked up of you not to mention to your viewers what they are consuming. Probably illegal not to disclose that they are drinking alkaloids such as DMT.
Youre incorrect on so many levels. Please delete your post so others won't be misled by your ignorance. Maybe next time educate yourself before you comment? Btw, DMT is produced by your body naturally. With practice you can send yourself on a brief DMT trip just by doing breathing exercises.
