What is scary for bands from other genres, is the fact that Band-Maid's slower and more melodic ballads are just as good as their heavier songs. Often you get to hear Saiki's and Muki's vocals, Kanami's guitar work and the rhythm section to there full extent- Wonderland Official Live Video and Awkward live if possible, are great examples of this, if you haven't already done them. Thanks for the reaction.
The Non-Fiction Days use to be their go-to closer. When the song ended, the Maids would give Miku her few seconds to say goodbye, bow, and then all quickly walk off stage. The crowd felt like they'd been run over by a speeding freight train of awesomeness. It all felt so good and the fans wanted more! But they were leaving... until next time! Thx, Guys!
@@creativitytalkin8057 You might consider buying some of their albums. There are hidden gems not turned into videos that will blow your socks off. Have you done GLORY or RINNE yet? I watch so many Band Maid videos I can't remember exactly who's done what. If you haven't done them yet I would suggest those two also. I really enjoy your appreciation of the group. Saiki and Miku both had throat surgery in 2017, I believe. Saiki could barely croak, if you listen to her now you'll notice how thin her voice seems in some of the older videos.
In the west, a musician who plays like Misa and looks like Misa would have an ego the size of the solar system, but there she is, just trying her best.
Just a beautiful song. The vocals are an elegant relentless power punch to the face. This band of sisters and friends bless us with this amazing music. I feel so lucky I found them through Old Mr B and Yoyoka Soma. Love this song)! Grest reaction!
This is, in my opinion, their best outside writer song from their early days. It was winter, so it was actually freezing cold and windy on that beach that day. They had to wear huge parkas between takes and a few of them got too close to those fires and started them on fire. 🤣
Love this classic. I always mention the “Hoobastank” tone on Kanami’s guitar. (If anyone remembers “Crawling in the Dark”) It’s been fun watching you guys open up the musical presents from Band Maid, never been disappointed yet. I wonder how you would react to some of their songs with a softer edge? These aren’t like Mötley Crüe “Home Sweet Home;” a hard rock band slowing the pace. These slower songs are executed as if the genre was all they did. To me, that’s just as impressive as their ability to delivery one killer riff after another. Please consider these for your future work? “About Us,” “Daydreaming,” “Puzzle acoustic,” “Memorable.” (In order of my personal favorites) Horns up 🤘🏽!
Thank you mike, yes we will check those out for sure..we appreciate you guys pointing us in the right direction..we are blown away by how cool bandmaid fans are,and thank you for supporting our little show🤘
Great reaction as usualy guys. It seems the Band-Maid kami has something against the Maids, for a lot of their videos they have either boiling hot weather (Influencer - 100F) or freezing cold (Shambles, Non-Fiction Days, Warning). But these are tough maids and they power through it. Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.
I call Roger "The Sixth Maid" haha - for all his time promoting these guys. I'm a similar age to you guys and have listened to Hard Rock all my life so know where you're coming from every time you do a reaction to BAND MAID. Can I suggest "Matchless Gum" and "Awkward" from the Shinkiba Studio Coast Concert. They're not on TH-cam but there is other places to find em ... If not the studio versions of both are just as awesome. Love ur work guys.
Great reaction.👍 I adore Misa, she is one of my favorite bassists... but I would be very bold in claiming that she is better than other incredible Japanese rock bassists that I also adore, such as: Misaki Fujiwara, from Sokoninaru F Chopper Koga, from Gacharic Spin & Doll$Boxx Mina, ex-Girlfriend Serina, from Trident Juna Serita, from Rie A.K.A. Suzaku Band & The Jazz Avengers Haraguchi-san, from Nemophila or Fami, from Lovebites... and not to mention the male bassists.😉
In several of the earlier songs there is more difficulty there than meets the eye. The accents in the vocal line during the verses are all on offbeats (same thing happens in Yolo I think) - this is not the easiest thing to pull off as a band. Everyone needs to very very accurate.
This is the live version. BAND-MAID/ [Secret My Lips x Non-fiction Days] Revisited/ SHINKIBA STUDIO COAST/OKYUJI TOUR 2017/ th-cam.com/video/5lMqEWWiZSM/w-d-xo.html Please enjoy!
Despite the extreme cold experienced during this beach shoot (look-up photos of them in their arctic "puff suits" worn between shots), Akane's dress managed to catch on fire; immediate remedial action by BM's crew staved-off disaster. Great song, and a double shout-out for Roger (who deserves it)!
Best bass player on the planet...if only she had the "looks" to go with that talent. (Pardon me -- I'm having a little trouble getting my tongue out of my cheek). [I very much like her newer outfits, but I miss the clear view of the legs].

@@billrand4138 well I felt the exact same after my first listen…..exactly! But after the video came out I changed my view and now I can’t get enough of it. Give it time and keep listening …. Like a lot of Band-Maid songs they are more appreciated after many listens. Stay well.
Great reaction men!... I'm 62 and this band makes me believe in rock again... they are the best band nowadays. By far.
Neither rain, fire, cold, or dark of night will keep Band-Maid from delivering music to their beloved fans.

Even the older videos are great. They've evolved since this.
Yeah we have started to dive into older stuff and still blown away at every turn!
