BEFORE YOU READ WHAT I SAY NEXT: What this boss did is a GREAT thing for the man and I heavily respect it.
It is kind of disturbing that in this country everyday workers have to rely on the goodwill of a CEO to lift them out of medical debt.

I'd like to know, and be honest, how many upper management or CEO who aren't on camera actually cares enoung about employees
that they would voluntarily give money to an employee in serious financial hardship
I can comfortably predict the number would be virtually zero.
If employers were good employers then there entire workforce and family members would be on medical insurance
How stupid and blind that you can't see this is just good PR for the cameras
Tell me when this CEO implements medical cover for his entire workforce and I'd happily praise him
