What material did you use for this? I have been trying to figure out what material for the over coat which I plan to layer with chiffon, but I can't seem to find the right material, and this seems like the one!
Hi! I am currently using a fabric at JoAnn called Silky Solid Peachskin ( www.joann.com/silky-solid-peachskin-fabric-white/16734311.html ). Its a slightly weighted silky fabric that has a light smooth texture to it. I used it in this commission and my MDZS Weddding outfits as well.
Hey, I'm planning to make a Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe cosplay with my friend, i can't find any tutorials on how to sew the hanfu, could you do one for me to help me out?
I have another two videos on making hanfu. Here is one of the links. I do have another future video coming out in a few months, but i hope these can help in the mean time. th-cam.com/video/R_9QLDu5fe0/w-d-xo.html
@@koarixxen It deoends on which part of the hanfu you are making. Usually the skirts the whole width of the fabric can be used for the length of the skirt and can be hemmed depending on what shoes you wear. I am 5'2" and for over coats and long floor tunics take about 5 to 6 yards depending on the sleeves you make. The wider and flowy the sleeve you going towards the 6 yards, but if its a straight sleeve more like 5 yards.
I already made one in a previous video, however it was not a how to make it. It was one of my first videos posteted. I currently working on a new two parter video on making a Word of Honor cosplay.
I have made some plus size cosplays for people in the past. However I am currently on a break due to housing issues. If you like to follow my Instagram: Tabitha_Cerberus I will let people know when i am open for commissions.
Majority of the ones I bought came off Taobao, however that seller no longer has an open store on there. The two patterns i use the most i usually merge together since one is an undershirt for shorter width sleeves and an over coat that has the larger sleeves. So a lot of my. Work is merging the patterns. I am planimg to make a pattern so that i dont have to keep taking these two patterns out at the same time.
I would if the costume in the show had it. But lot of them i do not see back seams so I continue this method. If I was not doing a cosplay I would add a back seam.
Gold content
Thank you!

Where do you get the hanfu patterns? Or do you make the patterns yourself?

HOW TO MAKE HANFU DRAMA COSTUM FOR MEN?
Hi! This style hanfu is actual based off of a male character. Most hanfu use very similar pieces for both male and female.
Make a fake back seam, it’s important in meaning.
