    The 3:2 payment.. yes best way to calculate is the way you showed.. is learn 2-10 what does 2 pay 3, 4 ,5 and etc all the way to 10.. I don’t use 1 cuz it’s the same as 10 without the 0 lol.. once you establish those main 10 for beginners just break it down so if 10 pays 15 take out 3 reds and if 2 pays 3 take out 3 whites.. for example $45.. 4 pays 6 so $40 pays $60 and $5 pays $7.50 just break it down once you get more experience everything will come natural

    A good exercise to practice is take your playing cards and deal 1 card find the pay out for that number.. add a second card and figure out that payment and keep adding cards up you’ll notice adding and figuring out becomes a lot easier. But best advice for beginners is break the bets down and pay each stack.. just for beginners

    If it's a weird number you just break it down by color. 12 dollars is 2 red chips and 2 whites so you pay 3 whites and 3 reds. If you have something like 45 I physically break it down to 40 and 5. 40 pays 60 which is easy to remember and 5 pays 7.5. You may have to break things down in a strange way while you're learning and new at dealing but as long as people can follow along with what you're doing you should be ok. Though I suppose some casinos may be more strict about how you break down the bets.
    After dealing a while you just start remembering a lot of the payouts like 35 pays 52.5. That one comes up a lot.

    Hi Heather,
    A quick question if you please
    So I just "won" a £5 hand at 3:2 my winnings are £7.50 and I parlay it for the next hand. I now have £12.50 in action and lucky old me I get another Blackjack.
    So long story short;
    How do you pay at 3:2 with an odd 50p in play and the lowest cheque/coin is a 50p? If ya know what I mean?

    • @VegasAces
      @VegasAces  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There's something called "Breakage" that casinos use in this type of situation. So the extra $0.25 cents that the dealer can't pay will be rounded down in favor of the casino. Instead of the player getting paid $0.75 they only get $0.50. They get even money instead of the bonus. That's why it's better for the player to bet a normal amount when playing blackjack. I'll make a future video on this subject.

    I think the 3:2 is pretty simple, actually. It only gets confusing if someone wants to bet $47 bucks. Wha?!
    What I think is confusing and time consuming are the 6:5 payouts. Essentially it's a payout of 120%.
    QUICK! What's 10% of the wager? QUICK... double that! Now add it to the 1:1... and bingo! 6:5!

    • @VegasAces
      @VegasAces  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jessica Anquilo Thank you so much! :-D The way I would break down a blackjack bet of that amount is I would take the largest amount first ($100) and figure out the blackjack payout ( the blackjack payout is $150). Then I would figure out the blackjack payout of $2.50. (Half of $2.50 is $1.25) So the blackjack payout is $3.75. (Breakage applies, so the amount would be rounded down to $3.50) Add $3.50 to $150 and your total is $153.50

    • @VegasAces
      @VegasAces  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Adam! You can do this equation with any number. For example, if the bet is $7, then half of $7 is $3.5. Add $3.50 to $7 and your blackjack payout amount is $10.50. Another example, if the bet is $11, then figure out half the bet (which is $5.50) and add that to the original bet. 11 + 5.50 = 16.50

      If the bet is $13, the payout for a 3 to 2 blackjack is $19.50. The dealer should have a $0.50 cent piece in their bank to pay this. If the player bets the $0.50 cent piece and blackjack hits, (for a $0.25 cent payout on the $0.50 cents) breakage will apply. The house will round down, in favor of the casino. For example, if the wager is $10.50, instead of paying $15.75, the dealer will round down and pay the player $15.50.

    • @starskunk
      @starskunk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as the casinos are concerned, the proper term for a chip is a check in most cases. This is why when you give cash at the table in exchange for chips and the dealer has to call the floor for approval they'll call 'change' or 'cash' and the amount, but if you exchange a high-value chip for lower value chips they'll call 'check' or 'check change' and the amount.
