  • In this video, we’ll cover all aspects of lighting, from using a simple omnidirectional light to loading your own ies file. We will also look at natural illumination with the sun and moonlighting, and show how using HDRI lighting can completely change the mood of your project.

It would be great if Epic shares the TM file with us with all the lighting already setup for study purpose?

I like the weather slider, I see it as sort of AI, it puts reflective puddle or white snow on the surfaces, even apply a post process of raindrops or snow fall. Wish if there is a slider for lighting where lights will be placed intelligently to make it real on surfaces, then manually we will be able to tweak..

Great video. Where do you get such detailed landscape files such as the one used here. Thanks.

How can I download the 2020.2 version because unfortunately I did not find it .. If any of you have this version download it in a link .. because the specifications of my device are weak and this version I saw is the best version of the device in terms of simulating shadow, light and lightness

It's would be great if you could share the example files. I recently use D5 and amazed by all of many free example that I can download. My opinion is that if you want to expand to more user you should let them see what TM can do on their computer.

They used to have examples scenes now all they gives us is shoes and a purse.

@@MrBfg586 ?? There are 2 demo scenes, you can find it in the Twinmotion start up screen, under learning.

Not dure why exposure is only on the scene level and not the camera settings..
Also, why doesn't the neon light have an attenuation slider?
All lights are missing the show light source option. Meaning you have to set an emissive material independent from the light in all cases..

Thanks again for the great video. I wish if there is spline based light(not emissive material) where you create a spline and it becomes a light source. If there is a linear light why not spline light?

Any plans to add Lumen or Raytracing?

I cam to see how to make a texture in a loaded model to become a light emitting texture, and it was not explained. The car tail light is an example, but it was already lit, and how was not explained.

Update: I just found the "emit" slider in the texture options. Oddly, this type of light source seems cosmetic only (makes a texture seem to glow, yet no light seems to be cast on the walls near the light emitting texture). ???

Can spotlight adjust automatically to normals? Manually adjusting they direction can be a pain sometimes, especially when you have to do it on multiple rails with non 90 degree spotlight

Thanks a lot for this great video. I have a question.
since I updated my twinmotion from 2022 to 2023 my dusk to dawn lights won't turn on or off automatically.
I have to hide and unhide them to force them to refresh.
is there anything missing in my twinmotion? or specific settings that I've missed?
    Thanks once again :)
