Thanks for the recommendation, Hanoch! We rented from Fujisanbike (electric and non-electric) with locks and helmets provided. Would highly recommend stopping at Cisco coffee for a slice of cheesecake and a matcha latte. Great for warming up and keeping the blood sugar going.
Thanks for the video! It made me feel so nostalgic. I lived in Japan for a few years in the 90's. I never knew what the law was, but it made me think that cars are automatically at fault if they hit a bike because that's the way everyone reacted when I (or anybody I knew) had collisions with a car. Luckily in both of my collisions, I was completely unscathed - not even a bruise or scrape, but the people who ran in to me went REALLY far out of their way to make sure I was not hurt and to get my bike fixed. One of the times, the guy who hit me gave me and my friend a ride home after the crash and even brought me a gift basket of fine confectioneries about a week later just to check on me and make sure I was still uninjured.
Thank you, this is awesome! Was wondering how many rest stops you did since I noticed only once, did you stop anywhere else ? We are trying to plan out how long it will take to do the route with all the rest stops and sightseeing, since you guys did it in 3 hours, did you do it mostly without stopping much ?
THank you for sharing this video! very informative! I am definitely do this. Plan to do this month - so hopefully Fuji-san is visible. Anyway, since it's summer, did you notice if they have like shower area? I expect it will be very hot and humid biking around that area this month. Thank you!
Thanks for the question! Depends if you're in a metro area or countryside like in the video. In Metro areas, there are usually more designated areas and rules you might need to follow. For more rural, I think basically if it's out of the way most people don't mind. Theft is not an issue at all so a simple wheel lock will suffice.
They don't come with locks nor helmets.... I think generally if you place them out of the way you won't hear any complaints or any issues in this area!
What did you think of the ride? Have you ridden in Japan before? What else do you want to see or try?

Great video, thanks for your effort and skills to produce interesting views.
Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video/info! Was a bit nervous about biking around the lake, but it seems pretty straightforward
Yeah it should be a good time! It's not a super long route either take your time with the scenic parts in the beginning

Hey can I ask let’s say you wanna stop for lunch, how should you park you bike? Where should it be

Does the bike come with lock? If not, is it safe to leave the bike unattended at pit stops? Are there places to park bikes?

Going up Mt. Fuji next?
That would be an epic vlog
was the whole loop 3 hours or just the rental time?
