Got $174? Got your hustler's 4 lyf shirt on? Well in this instalment of budget builds I bring to you the BEST value for money, bang for buck Gaming PC that can play CS:GO, Battlefield 1 and COD Infinite warfare all on high QHD 1440p settings at OVER 60fps in MULTIPLAYER(!).
This is what it is all about ladies and gents, frames for the dollar, price/performance extreme, and this played counterstrike at over 200 fps and was so smooth, buttery smooth it was rediculous. This whole PC was built for less than the cost of a GTX 1060 and even some RX 470s out there.

The 760 has been slowly gimped by NVidia deliberately releasing bad drivers for it over time, and the 6300 has awful single core performance. The i5 in the PC in the video has good per core performance and the 7970 has more VRAM and a stronger GPU than the 760.
Thepixel02 yeah...they do. The 780 Ti was a beast until the 980 came out...and suddenly the 780 Ti got slower in benchmarks to the point that a 290 could match and even beat it.
I'm not against nVidia in any way, but you just have to look at the benchmark history to see that they stop caring about improving the previous generation once the new generation debuts.

Only 2 things I like about consoles are 1. Exclusives and 2. The fact that u can just throw in a game and play it, it makes it really convenient when u want to chill with friends or family.
Well Xbox is a console and their exclusives are now Windows and Xbox exclusives, PS and Nintendo are the only difference and on PC you can "just throw in a game and play it" just saying. And with PS4 and Xbox One all games have to be installed in order to play unless you're talking about past gen consoles lol
iDesiqned thats why I prefer PS over xb. Because SOME of xb exclusives are on pc, but I just like ps more for other reasons.
Also on pc, most games are digital and downloads require sometimes. Installation is way quicker. Ik u can buy discs for pc games too, but theyre not as common. Also hooking up controllers and shit can be a pain, unless ur pc has bluetooh or u have wireless adapter, using wire in a family party is annoying cuz everyone just be trippin all over the place. I like to have my pc in my own room with its own desk and what not but consoles can be out in the living room and just turn it on when someone comes over. It's more convenient. And to have pc w the same boosting speed as consoles, ud need an ssd most of the time. Each of them have their own benefits. I like both

It is if you look. I've never had an issue with getting parts from craigslist/offerup/gumtree for good deals or from sniping ebay auctions. I got a Gigabyte Z170-HD3 with 16gb of ballistix ddr4 for $72 off ebay for my last build. Just have to make sure you watch the promising auctions and keep at it until you get the kind of deal you want.

Buttfart i have got before 6 or 7 months.. gtx 980 and xfx 650 psu 80+gold asus rampage 2 with xeon x5650 12core with cooler master v6 overclocking to 4.3ghz plus 12gb ddr3 ram also with 1tb hdd and new 240gb ssd .. all of them cost me 500 to 520 dollars ... all of them are separate deals only the cpu cooler come with Motherboard

For my 470 build I did get an eVGA 500W, I don't like using converters at all ever and just got the cheapest thing I could find that came stock w/8-pin connectors
The 460 build seems to be doing fine after a couple of weeks at 100% load on both CPU and GPU mining

My 460 is undervolted and slightly underclocked so I would suggest doing the same on a stock PSU and you should be okay

It's already been proven that thermal spread method makes no difference. As long as you don't put too much/little, spread it how you like.
Im in the process of doing a couple of budget builds at the moment.
1: cpu/mobo: i5 750, asus board. - Free. I traded it for my old q9550 cpu and mobo and ram I found on the street.
Psu: litepower 600w $10
Gpu: hd7870 $40
Ram: 8gb -free, from a broken pc i was given.
Case: old coolermaster, nothing fancy but it was also free from the side of the road.
Hdd: 500gb, free. from a tv box which was again, thrown away.
Total: $50 Australian dollars

Mobo: $20, this was bought from the same guy selling the psu.

Hdd: 500gb, free.
Total: $65 Australian dollars so far.
Psu: dont have yet.
Ive also just grabbed an r9 290x for $100 from gumtree for my main rig.

Battlefield 1 is so fucking unoptimized. This dude plays Multiplayer on 1440p with over 60 fps on an 200 $ machine, while i sit here with my brand new, heavily overclocked RX 480 and 4.8 GHz i5 6600k and can't even get stable 60 fps...on 1080p.

@@ptheoxd2599 install a lighter cut down version of windows 10 so that 4gb ram is easily manageable even for 2gb ram systems, and just add a low power GPU with no external power connector requirements, so below 76 watts. Anything will do fine, just try to aim for something like a gtx 750 or even 1050 or something comparable that would do awesome!

I recently had to downgrade my graphics card, I have a 4790k and a 1050ti, running everything on an ssd, yet I do not get FPS NEAR as much as this, max settings 1080p 45 to 70 fps, this video is plain out lying, maybe he gets those numbers on lowest settings..

tbh if you're buying a $174 PC, it's unlikley you have a 1440p monitor anyway. I'd expect this PC to do all of these games are 25% extra fps at 1080p med settings most games.

For CS:GO benchmarking I would recommend playing on de_nuke, since it's the most graphics intensive competitive map. Also most players would rather have the anti-aliasing maxed up, than going for 1440p.

I've uploaded a guide on my channel, with enough tweaking i got it to run at a stable 4 frames on a similarly spec'ed computer. No guarantees though.

All are you guys are in experienced, there are other ways to apply thermal paste instead of being a book minded fuck
that creates airbuses dumbass, the only thermal paste that would sort of be acceptable for you to do that is liquid metal but even then you should better use a spatula or something like that

Depends on the card and the heatsink, I generally use .5 of 1mm pads. Though some can need smaller or larger...

No I'm not a youtuber, just a computer repair guy/gamer. You think 85c under max load is ok for an X3450 OC?
Yeah these CPUs are built tough, though this was pretty hot ambients when I tested in summer.... So it can only get better for the little xeon lol, The CPU has built in thermal throttling so just be careful of that, you don't want reduced performance. and of course if running high temps be careful of thermal tripping too, then that is when you have to down the clocks and temps fast.

My kids current build is similar to this and is still an epic awesome build that can still play the latest games. He has an Intel Q9650, 8 GB of DDR 2 1600, and an MSI GTX 970 gaming 100ME.
I just got an i7 950 asus rampage x58 mobo, 6gb ram, 2x 1tb hardrives, ax1200 psu, gtx 560ti and 470 with waterblocks. Some wierd radiator pump thing and a glass case.
He was moving and gave me everything he got for only 100$!!!
I just need to find some cheap gpu coolers and I will be good to go.

Yeah on low temps of course.
This is some bad advice really, the heat is not even an issue...the static electricity is. For the same reason you never use a vacuum cleaner on motherboards. ESD may not even kill your hardware right away, I've actually seen cases where the motherboard would suffer performance loss and die fairly quickly after someone had gone at it with a hairdryer to try and clean up the dust between heat-sinks. It can be a cause of a lot of unnecessary headaches.
It is all about the heat, as that is what causes the static in the first place...
So it is OKAY to use hair dryer on Cool Mode, as long as PSU is plugged into the wall?

2gB GPU isn't an issue really, just gotta set TexSize to medium on newer games.
I'd rather have Amazon and Newegg warranties than risk eBay on something I really don't have the money to risk on something like this.

I just want to point out that if you can get an i7 or similar CPU and pair it with a 1070, you can max out pretty much any game in full 4K settings or damn near close. That would probably put you in the $6-700 range unless you found some really good deals on used parts and such.

-i3 8600k-GTX 1070 or higher-16gb(on a Z370)-mid-high level
-i7 8700k-GTX 1080ti-16gb or higher(on a Z370)-king
You ll notice than im not suggesting any of the non "K" Coffe Lake CPUs because bying them now (especially the great i3 8100 which is better than the r3s) doesnt make any sense without cheaper motherboards to put them on.So if you want one of these i suggest waiting for cheaper motherboards.
An SSD boot drive is mandatory and the Ryzen chips are to be overclocked to at least 3.7Ghz.
Also note that IN MY OPINION the Intel builds i mentioned only make sense if you plan to play on a 144Hz or above monitor.
Any PC from the above will blow your mind if you come from consoles.

the crucial part of this PC is the power of the HD7970, this card used to be a very high-end graphic card and cost around $500 and the time. Glad it still deliver decent processing power

Hello, so i recently dropped consoles an am now looking to join the master race, but i have 0 knowledge when it comes to the parts and all that. So i'm trying to build one of these computers because i am on a budget. I got a guy telling me he'd sell me a Lenovo ThinkCentre M91p SFF Quad Core i5-2400 8GB RAM 500GB HDD for $175. Would that be a good deal to start off with a base pc that i could upgrade?

I'd recommend getting a older card and overclocking it. If budget is key, then it's the best bang for your buck. I have a 7870 overclocked and I can usually run games at max setting 1080p and get 60+FPS. I purchased the card years ago when it was very expensive, but it's lasted me over the those years very well, and I don't feel I need to upgrade as I barely overclocked the card. There is still a lot of head room for overclocking for future games.
Not sure if you already purchased or not, but I bought the same setup (4gb RAM and 250 HDD though), and I think you could negotiate a little cheaper, though I think it is a decent value particularly for the components.
The issue is the SFF case. If you want true flexibility, you will have to transfer the components to a larger tower that will support a full-size GPU. The SFF only fits a low-profile card, which limits options and drives up price. So factor in the price of the case you want with your computer purchase.
I already have a case (and GTX 1050) and mainly bought the M91p for the motherboard and CPU (upgrading from a Q6600 Quad), so I knew about this going in.
If you haven't already, I would look on eBay. I managed to find a M91p SFF i5-2400 for $95 from a reputable seller, and I want you to get the best deal possible as well, while being aware of the limitations of the SFF casing.

A used GTX 950 is like 50-80 bucks used. An i5 3550 used is like less than 75 bucks used and 8 gigs of ram are 15-30 bucks used. So his build can range from 140 bucks to 185 bucks
