This pedestrian bridge is great place for Hamilton / Toronto traffic. We have been the many times. Love the view too! Awesome traffic for a Saturday! Thanks for posting! Cheers 🍻, Corey "Earl" Widmeyer
I spent a day railfanning Bayview Jct and Hamilton Jct about 25 years ago. There was a lot of good action, but it was during a heat wave and we definitely suffered! We also hiked in to the point by Dundas Jct, I think, around the bend to the right from the CN main.
We stayed on the Spring Garden Bridge for less than an hour, three trains I think, then checked out the botanical garden for angles, which weren't great due to the foliage along the RoW. We then found a vending machine to get some drinks and moved to the "island" in the wye to check out the Dundas Sub side and CP action. Then we headed up onto the road bridge overlook for a while. Bayview Jct is a great place for railfanning action!

Excellent video my friends awesome 😮like 👍🏻 and Greeting 🙋 from Argentina 🇦🇷
Cool catches of those trains! Great scenery too!
The scenery is one of my favourite things about this area. With Hamilton Harbour and the Niagara Escarpment, you can't go wrong.

There is definitely not a lot of shade on the pedestrian bridge.

The length of those freight trains is quite astonishing
Some of the trains have over 700 axles.
What would classify as short haul?
I'm guessing that this had originated in Welland and ends in Toronto?
I'd that short haul?
CN 422 originates at Port Robinson and ends at MacMillan Yard. CN 425 originates from MacMillan Yard and ends in London.
Any CN A4xx series train is classified as “Short Haul Manifest”
What camera do you use?
I just use my phone. It's a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
