St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Carmichael CA - 6 PM Angelus Chime

(Filmed July 14, 2024) After returning from chasing the Union Pacific Big Boy, I stopped here at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church to catch the 6 o’clock bells. I didn’t take into account that this church has 5 o’clock mass which ended shortly before six. To avoid drawing unwanted attention I setup behind this bush. I was not expecting it to play the Angelus Chime. The church’s Maas-Rowe system which is located on a tower in front of the church shown below rings hourly and signals the Angelus at 6.
