kiwi music is the only sound that fills me with the land i was brought up on, running in the paddocks rivers and oceans washing me with love. yet the pain in the sound is so visceral.
I accidentally bumped into this tune in the restaurant I’m working while it came up on a random playlist and I had to play it on repeat couple of times. Such a good tune. The live version here is pure goose bumps with strings and all. Brilliant ❤️
TARANAKI TUTURU.. AKE AKE KIA KAHA.. i once was lost, just another maori-boy that had no clue of his rootz... now i have been awoken i dont come to bow i come to concur with the wisdom of my TIPUNA... thank you very much for this upload.. and thank you LITTLE BUSHMAN... PEACE...
This song fills my heart, my soul with emotion as I contemplate the reason why my life was not taken 5yrs ago in a horrific accident. Why was I given a second chance? I try to live my new life more peacefully and be truly grateful for what I do have in life. I guess I am a more peaceful man...Thank You Warren Maxwell
Kia ora Ross i hope you are still with us brother. I've survived things that most don't get a second chance with December 17 1987 17 years old hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light and shorted my motorcycle by about 3 1/2 feet and when i stopped tumbling down the road i had my left femur sticking out of my leather pants and couldn't see my leg from just above the knee i thought it was GONE but it was still attached my pelvis and left hip multiple fractures and the top of my tibia arm bone left side the ball that rotates in ya shoulder snapped off and i could see it poking out but not though the skin five months in hospital two years learning to walk again then four years later had to jump through a closed shash window and pull my unconscious girl friend out of our burning house we survived but our friend and flat mate didn't r.i.p Fiona Ella Kerr 18 year's old then a few years after that i got my first helicopter ride in the West pac rescue helicopter after bumping into some nasty buggers and spending three weeks in hospital and lastly and hopefully the last on my motorbike following the fire truck to a bush fire (volunteer fire fighter) and came around a corner and hello the truck has stopped to pick up a hose pack that has come loss and i went under the back of it and woke up 5 weeks later with tubes coming out of my head with spinel fluids and blood clots two more years learning to walk again 😡 but hold on I'll just check to make sure.... Yip I've still got a pulse so I'm alive and above ground so that's a bloody good start me thinks
This is real music, talented kiwi guy with an unbelievable voice and unending talent. From what i saw of him on songs from the inside a very humble cat too. Peace
A man I have watched since Trinity Roots, He walked past me in Wellies one day and I wanted to just give him a massive Hongi, instead I chocked and said Chur..... but that was enough for me to say I have met the man that inspires me to just do what you love and be the Best at doing it. Chur brother Warren Maxwell...
i agree! we were blessed enough to have a workshop with warren at our school a couple months ago. learnt so much from him, he inspired me to write a song, the very song is my first video on my page. But it's still nothing to this haha. true talent lies in this man right here
From inside the leaflet: To have a dream, a feather dream, a fairer hand, but no weaker man, you cast no stone, you taught to comprehend, the wisdom to let go of difference, a candle on a stand . Peaceful man, not forgotten X2. But still we fight, turn blood, to gold, you're not forgotten. No more so much, eye for an eye, and yesterdays ways, are now a relic, but the sun will rise, and fall again, many times as it's done, before we learn to listen. (Repeat chorus)
kia ora my bro.. i to shear your hope's... thanx 4 your reply.. the deeper i go into the past to find myself threw the teachings and wisdom of my tipuna brings me a sadness BUT also brings a grate strength of MANA so therefore i am grateful.. may the hearts of mankind bond as one and walk in peace together..AKE AKE
Peaceful Man...after so many years of being under the whip...it's time to put the axe to rest and for the tribes of Aotearoa to join together in unity. Only then will the tangata whenua rise up and bring the past present and future together! Ti Heee Mauri Ora!
