If you have deleted the messages but the marketplace place is still showing in chat list, go to settings / apps , force close messenger then go to storage and clear cache & data.
@melodeath3961 no only the market place , if you have deleted all the messages and the market place is still in chat list, all other messages are untouched

My marketplace chats USED to be in messenger. Weeks ago they all vanished. If I uninstall and reinstall messenger- they temporarily come back but gone again immediately. Why did this happen and how can I get the messages back here? I can only find them by going to "inbox" in marketplace but that turns into a mess and there is no way to delete any messages there.

There is no hamburger icon. Was able to delete the message but I still can not remove market place in its entirety. Doesn’t allow to slide over. Clicking on it just say “no messages”. You may want to redo your video🤷

This only deletes it from you seeing it anymore. It tells you that when you click on delete or remove. It tells you that it removes you from seeing it, but not everybody else. So another words you can't see it anymore, but the rest of the world can

All you have to do is hold your finger down on the message in the list and options come up to delete or move the message. Drag your finger to delete and it’s gone. Less steps works for all smart phones as far as I can tell. Now tell me how to delete more than one message at a time.

I need to “delete” the responses after something is sold other than delete the app entirely and then reinstall the app which is a pain. If you have hundreds of them it’s worth it but not for ten or less. Looks like lots of people have same problem. Makes me not want to sell on Marketplace. 😩

I have done something similar, have you found out how to delete from the other party, i have blocked them I hope that stops them from viewing it.
