Hi. I've had a conversation with someone for the past year using Messenger (both on PC/web and on phone). I want to download the chat so I can search what we talked about.
I found a way to download a JSON file onto my computer but I have no idea what to do with the files at this point and I cannot find any directions for what to do with it.
Is there an easy way to download and view the prior conversations (so I can put it in a document reader and search for specific items)?

How do I fix it on a desktop computer windows 7 on Facebook Market place I have about 10 messages I have been leaving to people that have things for sale yet the messages are invisible when I open Market place how can I see them under marketplace messages again like before?

Can you help me? I have too many messages in my account, and although I tried to delete some of them, they still appear as deleted but are not removed. Messages from strangers remain in my account even after multiple attempts to delete them. Please look into this issue.

@@TrevorNace I can tell you. Like many previous comments...just doesn't work. This process (your instructions) does not recover deleted chat messages...only shows your current chat messages.
