- If you have been hearing about this Curseborne thing from Onyx Path Publishing, but don't know what it is let me explain it to you here. Onyx Path Publishing are known for producing Urban Horror and Urban Fantasy tabletop roleplaying games in the past.

So it looks like they are trying to have all CoD splats in one book. Looks good
I’d probably say a lot more than CofD does. The Primals I think are growing on me the most as the Sphinx, Lyka, and Hydes feel different even though their abilities are similar. We haven’t seen much of the families in APs just because how many there are.
It's an interesting idea. Hopefully it doesn't feel unbalanced or trying to bite off more than it can chew.
@@ion_eyes Balance seems pretty good from what I’ve seen. Storypath Ultra is pretty solid as far as numbers go imo.

@@AwkwardGMCorbin It's just a joke. The concept of curses being around mankind and people interacting with curses is similar to the setting of the manga Jujutsu Kaisen (aka JJK)
Honestly after reading through the Ashcan, I... kinda look forward to this game. Seems a bit more streamlined than CofD, but fun.
I'll keep an eye on this, as a fan of CoFD I am intrigued.
I am so excited for the game the full version, got the Ashcan edition and really want to play it, I am still so new to Storypath so can't really run it, and want to play, 100% I am going Nephilim
Maybe Sorcerer too at some point and other stuff
What are worries you have for running the Curseborne Ashcan (one-shot) as a New GM?
@@AwkwardGMCorbin I am a terrible GM, I don't know how to keep secrets from my players or surprise them, or accidentally make the story too convoluted and stuff
Definitely looking forward to the Primals the most, but I also want to delve into the Dead and the Outcasts. The worldbuilding is looking good so far too.
Dead are interesting and we've gotten more info with the OPP Con actual play. Apparently when they don't return to a body over a long period of time they turn into these rampaging spirits called Phantasms.
Outcasts I'm excited to see more of. The 300th episode of the Onyx Pathcast showed how Outcasts can really go ham with their True Form, but I really want to see how they interact with the Outside more.
I wish OP would focus more on the CofD than push out all these new rpgs. Their CofD work is their best work IMO.
Sadly OPP licensed CofD from Paradox.
At the very least, Paradox Interactive can't strangle this franchise.
Did they end Chronicles of Darkness?
@@ion_eyes Kinda. To be more accurate, they haven't allowed Onyx Path to make any more materials for it.

@@SeiferVII My educated guess is that they'd rather focus on WoD because that has a bigger fanbase and a lot of the Masquerade development team resent ChronDark, particularly Requiem, and those guys have Paradox's ear.
So your curse is the third path?
Lineage is more your Curse path, with Family acting like a sub-curse imo. Your 3rd path is your Role which is like you job or specialty. Examples they have in the book are Criminal, Influencer, and Investigator.
