You can accomplish a similar effect in Suno by choosing the extend option and extending the song from 00:01. It gives a new version with elements of the original. Cheers!
This is more of a REIMAGINE feature than a remix. A remix is adjusting, correcting, balancing, etc., a previously recorded/mixed track. It's probably splitting hairs with semantics, but I like the feature nonetheless and it seems great for reworking a dormant or discarded piece of music.
Exactly what I needed because I was literally in front of computer trying to understand this and you saved me a load of credits 😂. PS, I am finding that Udio is changing on its prompt results a fair bit, so a prompt I used a month ago for a song may give a completely different results today.
Bob - Watched this latest video, and this thought occurred to me. Most people do not know how to read music. Most people do not know how to play a musical instrument. But just about everyone can whistle. What if you could record yourself whistling some catchy musical licks you have floating around in your head. Upload this to Udio, apply what instruments should accompany the licks, and press the generate button. Would this work?
yeah you can just record the sound then drop the wave form in a midi note daw. Then you could add any instrument you want to the midi notes to play the whistle melody.
Not sure how drastically different this is from the “extend” feature. I’ve been exclusively using Suno(will probably try Udio eventually), and it has definitely given me some “remixed” versions of my songs. I had intended to use it for creating vocal tracks to extract and place in my original sessions but once or twice I’ve gotten versions where my music was slightly rearranged and while it’s one step further from simply writing my own songs, these versions are too good to not at least take some ideas from.

Have to spend at least 200 credits to get vocals that actually sound like singing and not talking, or a chorus that actually sounds like a chorus and not another verse. Suno may have some sound quality issues, but at least the vocals match the music style. I can get a good melody within a few tries. Blew through 1000 credits on Udio and all the vocals were crap.
I feel this is one of the issues that has gotten worse with latest updates. Either way you can get good lyrics if you put in alot of work by cropping out the parts where the vocals goes bad and then extend and repeat the process over and over again.

Love your content Bob. Do you know if there is a software/program that identifies music genre of a piece? Personally, I enjoy the first track that you sampled. Where can I find it? I like the court structural and Melody. It sounds very, mysterious and sort of Irish type.

Man, I don’t know … every time I’ve tried Udio the song is absolute garbage. The sound quality is way better than Suno. But Udio can’t get my lyrics right, it makes weird choices in the musical arrangement, etc.
Also when you try to extend something you like, it just seems to ignore what you generated first. It just doesn't match at all. Different vocals, different instruments, different BPM's... Also intros and outros are extremely hard to do. Either you get a long ass intro that is just random noise for 30 seconds, or you get an intro that starts in the middle of a note so you would need an intro for the intro? It just doesn't make any sense. Complete songs are impossible to generate. It messes up lyrics and if you want a chorus and/or melody that repeats throughout the song, it's impossible.
Udio is my fav but there's still issues. Many times da singer sounds like a Sims character 😂😂😂 another issue is, it doesn't always sing a verse and skips 2 da nxt. I give tags prompt for let's say, in da style of insane clown posse and it gives me 60s rock lol. I swear, I've had 2 generate a lot of songs using almost 100 credits, till I was satisfied. Other than dat, my finished product turns out fantastic. Hopefully they fix those bugs soon. Good luck guys and have fun 🌴😎🤙
Suno is way better in catchy tune melodic ..very smart. Udio has horrible generations. Screw quality if you dont have nice melodies. And what an idiot feature that it creates a song from the middle !!! Without intro or outro as if we re not gonna need an intro that the dumbest feature and obstacle udio is shit. Suno start with a perfect intro melody ending. I tried it with ethnic lyrics. Arabic singing is not easy at all. I m lebanese armenian. And tried it in french and armenian and english suno has more intelligence. Udio has kind of rigid monotonus way of composing. As if it lives in the 70 s Only.
let's guys create promts that will contain different genres of music and share your compositions..Who will do the best promt of the genres, we will show on the air, for example, his composition :)
Udio, like Suno is a tool. A powerful one, but a tool. In the near future (like now) musicians are going to use both in this way, but also exporting stems back into a DAW, and working from there, adding, mixing and editing as necessary, back and forth.
Well, I had to do a bit of research on that one, but I'd say that's accurate. This is what it said, and you can tell me if that's what you meant: "The person is suggesting that you have a personality type known for being very creative, energetic, and good at coming up with new ideas. They think you might be an "ENTP" or "ENFP" based on the Myers-Briggs personality test. This means you likely enjoy exploring new possibilities and thinking outside the box. You probably have a lot of enthusiasm and energy, especially when discussing interesting or novel topics. People with these personality types are usually great at seeing connections between different ideas and are often very engaging and adaptable in their interactions with others." But that's the ONLY kind of extrovert I am. :D
maybe will be helpfull for someone: if you created a great song (in UDIO or SUNO) but vocal line is bad (unclear or lost pronunciation): 1)extract vocal line , (better also remove reverb) 2)use REMIX feature with it and filled lyrics and Settings: Lyrics Strength = Highest, , Variance = Similar (0,1 - 0,3)
Exactly what I have found of late, until I started listening to other people's music and finding proper modern stuff and copying the prompt. I am actually getting some pretty good results atm.
Udio is completely fascinating, yet... still... I am not sure... even classical music... but... dang... it is also terrible, put us all out of work... or not.
All you need is prompts... looking for songwriters, no musical skill or experience necessary, 100,000 new songs added to Spotify daily, you can do it too.
Good luck with that :P There is absolutely no way you can create something good with just a simple prompt. It is not like Suno where you can simply write a prompt and have it just pumnp out full songs. With udio you have to generate few seconds, crop out bad parts and extend again while at the same time tweaking prompts and lyrics and timing.
Dude - can you do a story about the guy who was using AI to make THOUSANDS of songs in 2017? What? Oh you don't want people to know that major "Singers" and "Writers" have been using AI for years at this point, right? The big stars had it YEARS earlier too. AI was exploited by industry insiders for years and they want to keep this FACT hidden.
Udio is totally incapable of getting the drums right in Drum and Bass music, it produces disgusting sounding lo fidelity hi hats that don't even sound like a high hat, sounds full of artifacts and like some low quality MP3 conversion, utter utter shit time and time over again, now suno gets the drums right but decides to speed the track up half way through it's new creation making it useless. Both crap in reality
That’s not correct - that’s the length. The new model is selected by default under advanced settings. To use the old model you have to select it under advanced settings each time you start a song (like quality and clarity)

@@AIRapGuyI always use manual 2 get exactly wat I want because auto will add things u don't want.
As if it lives in the 70 s
Only.
When I hear "epic", I think Thor the god, Richard Wagner or Hans Zimmer. In my country nobody calls "epic" a mortadella sandwich.
let's guys create promts that will contain different genres of music and share your compositions..Who will do the best promt of the genres, we will show on the air, for example, his composition :)
Udio, like Suno is a tool. A powerful one, but a tool. In the near future (like now) musicians are going to use both in this way, but also exporting stems back into a DAW, and working from there, adding, mixing and editing as necessary, back and forth.
Keep on ultra for higher wav quality and if you want video make ai image first than video
@@DjStatusss thanks for those tips!
I must tell again, you must be an extraverted intuition user (entp or enfp)
Well, I had to do a bit of research on that one, but I'd say that's accurate. This is what it said, and you can tell me if that's what you meant: "The person is suggesting that you have a personality type known for being very creative, energetic, and good at coming up with new ideas. They think you might be an "ENTP" or "ENFP" based on the Myers-Briggs personality test. This means you likely enjoy exploring new possibilities and thinking outside the box. You probably have a lot of enthusiasm and energy, especially when discussing interesting or novel topics. People with these personality types are usually great at seeing connections between different ideas and are often very engaging and adaptable in their interactions with others."
But that's the ONLY kind of extrovert I am. :D

maybe will be helpfull for someone:
if you created a great song (in UDIO or SUNO) but vocal line is bad (unclear or lost pronunciation):
1)extract vocal line , (better also remove reverb)
2)use REMIX feature with it and filled lyrics and Settings: Lyrics Strength = Highest, , Variance = Similar (0,1 - 0,3)

I continue to be impressed by you and disappointed by Udio.
Toooooo short. You can make a whole video about upscaling suno with remix that would be soo cool. 😅
But you still can't ADD lyrics in Remix.

I’m mad I subscribed to udio after using it for a few months for free and now all of a sudden I’m getting mumble jumble every generation
Min 6:49 sounds like Duranguense music.
Udio is good for non-electronic music (or very old sounding electronic), that's why I use suno instead even if it doesn't have as many features.
Exactly what I have found of late, until I started listening to other people's music and finding proper modern stuff and copying the prompt. I am actually getting some pretty good results atm.
Udio is completely fascinating, yet... still... I am not sure... even classical music... but... dang... it is also terrible, put us all out of work... or not.
I'd use it if I could remix my entire song. One minute will change the composition too much
Use Manual Mode so it adheres to your prompts better.
Don’t you worry about Liam looking for you? 😂
not-garbage in, total-garbage out. as before. it changes nothing - literally! click at its baitest
Audio and video are out of sync.
At what point in the video are you seeing this?
My cat can't play uke worth a shit either. Need another cat, I think?
You just gotta be persistent, man. Eventually they always give in.
Have you tried turning it on and off again?
You forgot to use the new model, to use the new model you need to click on 130 model instead of 32 model
That’s not correct - that’s the length. The new model is selected by default under advanced settings. To use the old model you have to select it under advanced settings each time you start a song (like quality and clarity)
That is just the length. For some reason they named it this.
