      Yes it is a really nice market at Nazaré. Very typical of Portugal. Plenty of good, fresh produce available at affordable prices. The bread and all the pastries available are excellent too. Here the ladies wear traditional clothing also which is so pretty and colourful. A great place to visit. 😁👍 ~ Lee

    • @FrugalTravellers
      @FrugalTravellers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Obrigado Martin. Nazare is a great town to stay for sure, although it is a little out on a limb public transport wise. So if you have your own vehicle then it would be a good base to explore the centro region. If you are relying on public transport then maybe Caldas, Leiria or even Coimbra would be better bases because they have good transport links. Boa sorte e boas viagens. 😊

    Don’t you just love those market scenes? We visited ones in Setubal, Olhao and Tavira-and they were all fun! It’s great to see them again with your videos. BTW-I’m glad I had dinner before watching this video! 😅 Many thanks for those menu shots. I’m obviously having translation issues as I’m not clear as to the difference between ‘toast’ vs ‘dry toast,’ or ‘hot dog’ vs ‘American hot dog’ (as seen on a Google foto). I guess I have to go back to figure out those details! 😄 Obrigado.

    • @FrugalTravellers

      Thanks. The markets are always so much fun. They are really big community meeting places with so much life going on. Always something interesting to see. Menus can be rather confusing at times especially as we've noticed meal names can change depending on the region you are in. Studying them is a great way to improve Portuguese. 👍
