I once bought George Adams a cognac in the Five Spot in NYC, around 1873. He was playing with Roy Haynes!!! What a privilege to have seen them together.
If only we had jazz audiences that large and that enthusiastic in Australia.....sigh. One of my favourite YT videos is Herbie playing Canteloupe Under the Blue Sky - what an atmosphere from the crowd!
Pullen was pure Genius. He could not be defined nor pidgeon holed by the critics therefore they tried hard to minimize his skills by saying his music was too unconventional. This was mainly due to the fact that he could not be duplicated.
george he has very eccentric characteristic tenor style. here he plays aside another leader don. but his melody includes melancholicism i cannot stop vibrations. bravo ottimo
Incrediblely awesomeness. Felt happy reading your comment, it was my strongest impression from this performance, how the kitchen guys were cooking on fire!
昔も今も何故だか涙が溢れてくる このテナー
Is it normal the older we get the more we interested to jazz or jazz is so good and timeless regardless the ages.
I've been listening to and watching jazz since 6 years old, in the mid-90s. It's timeless.
@@musical_lolu4811 i bet you already had so many influences in this genre since you started at really early age.
No it is NOT normal. Seek professional help before its too late
@@dodododatdatdat you made me worried now.

Were you also at Gettysburg? Just kidding... I now it was typo.
In 1873? You must be very old and wise?
Just happened, messing around and found this! What? Don Pullen is an utter God!
The Japanese really love Jazz and know what is great. I love watching the audience digging these wonderful giants playing.
