These are the children from a television show called “Seven Up”. Every seven years another episode would be revealed with the children seven years older. They were asked questions on life, love and the meaning of everything. It documented their growth and how they changed throughout the years. Some pretty intelligent kids, a lot of spot on predictions. Wow the difference between kids then more respectful and kids today very outspoken.
When kids were told they were to be seen and not heard they more thoughtful, intelligent and softly spoken.
Wow...that was like looking at myself and my class mates from 1966 as we would have been about the same age and, mostly, from a monocultured background.....Some of their predictions about population growth, housing, automation computerisation and ethnic diversity was chillingly accurate. Yes , at that time, the cold war and the threat of nuclear conflict and annihilation was very real, ( the Cuban Missile Crisis was only three years before in 1963). Now it's the spread of Islam and huge migration from the Middle East and Africa into Europe we now fret about. I just hope that all the children in that clip grew up to have enjoyable and fullfilling lives and are still drawing breath, ( as I am ), in 2019. Very nostalgic.......

I was part of that generation and I have to admit that we were pretty smart.
It’s quite interesting to see just how much automation was mentioned even back in 1966. As it’s still a hot topic today.
I am one of those "children" of the 60's and I really don't remember what I was thinking about the future. I do know that I never would have believed what actually happened. I would never have thought the people would have a problem figuring out what gender they are or which bathroom to use. I never would have thought that masked protesters could block traffic and assault innocent people without retribution. I never would have thought that homosexuality would be accepted as normal or that there would be a time where men could marry men and women could marry women. I never would have thought that millions of people were in favor of socialism and open borders. Being raised in the country, I was given a .22 rifle at the age of 12. I never would have thought that there would be people out there wanting to take my firearm from me 50 yrs. later when I had never committed a crime with it. I never would have thought that people accepted abortions as being okay in cases other than rape, incest, or to save the mother. I never would have thought that Christians would be condemned. I never would have thought that people would be okay with others that disrespected the anthem and the flag of our great country. This list could go on forever. Let's put it this way...I never would have believed that there were so many changes, and many of them were not for the better.

People are shocked to learn that Exxon knew about global warming in 1960. 10 year old kids apparently did too!! Reagan and Thatcher turned us away from these very real concerns towards even more materialism and conflict.
