    Hey, the guide is great, exactly what I needed.
    But holy shit, your script is fantastic (apart from “morale” 😂). I can tell how carefully you chose your words for clarity and precision, and your efforts paid off. The fact that English wasn’t your first language (guessing from your lovely accent) makes it all the more impressive.

      Yes! I didn't like it at first bc I'm a pretty hardcore Nioh fan, and this game is a lot different than I expected. Felt like it big step down compared to all of the mechanics and combat systems Nioh has.
      But after giving it a second chance, it's actually pretty good as it's own game.

    Correction: when you are in the red, you cannot deflect AT ALL. Not just limited. No deflect at all. But you can dodge.

    I think the challenge comes with sets. Like the set for the Guding Blade is pretty heavy. You need 31 earth just to reach 70% despite not scaling in earth, but only 11 earth for 99%. I guess the question is, are the frames actually affected? Because if they aren't, and you are landing your deflects, you can throw points in damage stats. I only ever really dodge on accident, I'm practically always attempting a deflect.

      That's a very nuanced view. Not all players will be able to consistently Deflect, but the logic is sound. It'll have to be confirmed if frames are affected or not, and then we'll make an educated decision.

    So I was able to finagle getting A agility with the Saunchness set (medium armor) by going to 68 Earth. Are there still any penalties I'm taking even though I have A in agility?

      Only thing that matters, is the lettering. Doesn't matter how you got the armor to show as such.

      @@Mista_FiOth *YES!* that's what I was hoping for, thanks dude! My 2 hours of build crafting yesterday didn't go to waste. 3 wood, 30 fire, 68 Earth, 31 metal, and 1 water with staunchness set and the poleaxe with rock crash and damage boost stone+damage amp on martial arts hit, along with the Phoenix beast lets me get A agility, both red damage buffs without going to -1000 spirit, then rock crash for insane damage and I've got 6 of those. I also have martial arts damage up and fire spell spirit down on everything I can. This is absolutely carrying me thru ng+

    But what about damage like u have on light armor on wouldn’t that make u more likely to die on hit.or take more damage on hit

      Ofc. You take more DMG IF you are hit. The whole point of being nimble is to avoid that. Deflects and Evades are your friends.

    Helpful. It wasnt apparent. I still think like in most souls game medium mobility offers the best balance of protection and mobility. Ive had the most success with a fast weapon, and extremely aggressive play style. Deflect the critical attacks and dps through everything else. Ice enchantments interuppts their attacks and deals extra damage.

      Thing is, it's not a soulslike. It brings to the table NiOH elements, but it's closer to Sekiro. You have to be nimble. In NG+, you need the extra protection, IF you are missing your deflects. It's a delicate balance.

    Yeah but, parry window though? This seems to be the pressing question nobody can answer. Does anything in this game actually effect parry window, as in the actual frames? If anything does, it might be agility tier, but nobody has confirmed this yet.

      That's so true... I suppose, without info on the code, nobody will be able to - at least not anytime soon. Hope the Guide help for what it is though.

      @@Mista_FiOth Could probably be done with some rigorous testing, input validation and slow-mo footage, but that's a lot of effort. Probably easier just to tweet the devs lol.

    So the more heavier you are the more perfect you have to be with deflecting. Makes sense with the earth stat.

      @@Mista_FiOth When you get deflects you get SPIRIT (xD) back so having a high spirit cost for your deflections isn't as important if you're nailing it every time.
      In the same vein, if you're nailing it every time there's no need for the extra tankiness so eh.

      @Mista FiOth I thought lighter equip load means you have more parry frames? So being heavier means the parry window is tighter?

      I don't think that's the case. Don't have the tools to measure action per frame, but I think that's not affected.
