Hope there's a brand named "Sica's Choice" (just like Se Ri 's choice)
She is a true role model for kpop idols. The idol world has a short shelf life esp for female idols. It's important to have a plan for the future when the glitter fades
True, though to be honest Jessica could probably be a Kpop star for another 5 to 10 years. She's one of the few female idols that doesn't have a short lifespan.
so very true!!!! Being an idol is only a springboard, you have to know how to land in the water.
As bitter as it sounds, this is 100% true. A backup plan is important for an idol.
but this "plan" (B&E) doesn't seem to work out for her that well, otherwise she wouldn't have to move all her work to China while other Korean Americans **who do well in Korea** don't have to.
She's so dedicated, It feels so Surreal. I mean she was just a girl back then who hates cucumbers, sleeps in the bathroom, kicks everything when she's scared etc. But now..... A Successful CEO with her own fashion brand. She deserves it she deserves it all.

Jessica is a prime example of how you can come out of toxic situations or places in your life that just generally don't make you happy anymore and absolutely flourish. It is probably all too easy to fall into despair, and to not feel the motivation to start completely over and move forward to new happiness. I imagine it's an overwhelmingly daunting task. But it is possible, and these wonderful updates show us as such. It's clear as day how much work Jessica put into a new life for herself that, although I'm sure comes with its own complications and frustrations, suits her and her array of talents well. I hope that she can serve as an inspiration to what I imagine are millions of all kinds of people who are stuck in a place that feels impossible to break free from, and help them to take a leap of faith into a new world where they can start over and do what they love or be who they really want to be. She's already done so for me several times

It spoke to me as I am also trying to break free and let go of something - toxic job, toxic environment and surroundings, and planning on going back to my home country. I hope it will also go well for me and that I can finally find happiness and be able to break free from everything that's holding me back. This comment is so over the top. People aren’t angels. There’s a good and bad side to everyone. There’s duality to everyone.
As much as I love Jessica and am so happy for her achievement, I don’t think we should view everything with rose-tinted glasses.
Jessica became as “toxic” for the group as they became “toxic” for her because Jessica’s aspirations were in conflict with the demands of being in the top girl group. It’s symbiotic. These girls had extremely jam packed schedules. It’s just not fair to reorganise the lives of 8 members around 1 member.
I believe Jessica knows this as well because she’s never spoken badly about the members. Jessica won the PR battle against SM because she was let go. One year down the road, she would’ve gone on hiatus anyway.
@@themissingmile I don't think this comment even mean to degrade SNSD members, it was simply something that has become toxic for her, as we don't know what happened behind the scenes for South Korean top girl group (I don't think any gg group has reach the success and recognition of SNSD in Korea) we can't say who was in the wrong and it was better to leave it that way. Jessica is happier and in better situation, she achieve things that she wouldn't have did had she stayed.
Jessica's decision to move forward early is her life is her best decision ever.

@@alexdhamp not necessarily. An idol doesn't mean you just sing and dance, that is just a few aspects of it, Jessica even as a fashion director is still seen as a kpop idol. She has been on many variety shows, she still does photo shoots, and she is also an ambassador for Revlon.
