Fighter is so good!! The general favorite seems to be Drowning in the Rain, but I think Tali has a better chance to appeal to jury and televote equally than any other song in the selection.
Oh Shane, if you like female BOP's, go like them shamelessly! Luxembourg has a decent good selections of songs this year. Happy to say we share the same number one. Fighter is an amazing song, would love to see this in Eurovision and I can see this qualifying!
Fighter is also my favorite! I really think this would give Luxemburg a good result in their first year back. And go love those female bops Shane! You don’t have to apologize for that ❤
Very happy with overall quality from Luxembourg. My top: 1. Drowning In The Rain 2. Fighter 3. Paumée Sur Terre 4. Hold On Any of these will be better live and can go to Eurovision and get a good position.
Good evening Shane! 🌺 Here are my choises: 1. Naomi Aye "Paumee sur terre" This is without a doubt my favorite. I am very touched emotionally by this song. It evokes feelings, reflection, memories in me (especially beautiful ones from France and the sea off Brittany). The video shows beautiful images from the beach, sea and surroundings, which is also reflected in the lyrics. She tells a story with her beautiful voice that has a strong meaning. It touches me deeply. I know some French, that's also why the song went straight to me. It's beautiful, fragile, heartfelt like a poem or a painting.🌹 2. Krick "Drowning in the rain". Love the piano here. 3. Chaild "Hold on". I would have liked a bit more of the chorus, but it's good. 4. Tail "Fighter". 5. Angy and Rafa Ela "Drop". 6. Joel Marques "Believer". 7. Edsun "Finally alive". Our next Michael Jackson? 7. One last time "Devil in the detail".
Tali's song stuck out to me from the first time I heard the first recap and it hasn't gotten old yet so that would be my clear no 1. Other than that I like Believer and Drowning in the rain.
Hellooo again friend 😂 I don’t mind Devil in the Detail, it does remind me a bit of Smash Into Pieces like you said, but my two favourites are the two songs in French! Tali and Naomi
Not Shane leaving his homework until the last minute 😜🤣 Shane being predictible loving 'Fighter'. Of course I am super predictible too and it is my favourite as well. I am really keeping my fingers crossed for it. Think it's got a great chance of doing good at Eurovision too, it gave me 'Loin d'ici' vibes which I loved and did well with the televote too. It also gave me strong Alize - 'Moi Lolita' vibes, and that is a tune for sure. We have the same top 3 too, though I have Krick and the girl duo the other way round. I do think Krick could be a good choice too, with good staging I can see this doing well as well. As for the others, I like the female French ballad, but it doesn't really stand out enough for me. And to be honest, I can totally leave all 4 of the male vocal songs. And I am certainly not here for G:Son sending one of his Melfest reject songs to Eurovision. If that gets chosen then Luxembourg are looking at a Michael Rice type result. So hoping for Tali, with Krick a good second choice. Tho I perhaps am starting to get some worries that the G:Son song may do it. Name recognition and all that.
Honestly, Ive seen people say the selection isn't great but I think theres a few decent songs in here that could be elevated with a live performance and or a revamp My personal favourites are Krick and Tali. I really love that bond type of ballad and with Elsie co-writing the song, it just has that mystery and drama that I loved so much in her mgp entries and whilst I dont think 'Drowning in the rain' is as strong as her mgp songs, this song could be really good if staged effectively. Tali's song I think is very catchy. I wish it was entirely in French because I dont think the English adds a whole lot apart from "know you are a fighter" part. I still think if it went to esc it'd be borderline unless they've a great staging package but I can't personally think of a wow staging idea for this song. I do really like it though so I'd be quite happy if it won the selection. Edsun's song I feel like is a bit of a dark horse, I think its near the bottom of peoples tops but it feels like it could have a Belgium 2016 moment where it just works live. The other songs in the selection, whilst id listen to them and I think they've got likeable elements in them (Devil in the detail not too keen on) I feel like theres something missing from them to make them very competitive. Overall, I understand why people werent happy that all bar 1 artists songs were changed but having watched selections that weve put on and some of the songs in them were self penned, having a song an artist wrote for themselves ≠ better than being given one. Sure it'd be nice to see artists having their own songs be selected but I think at the end of the day, you want a song that'll be competitive and give you the best chance to qualify and perhaps the panel who looked at the songs felt the singers own songs wouldn't be strong enough (not that all of the selected songs are brilliant but most of them lend to creative staging).
notes time :) - as someone who def listens to rock i rly rly like devil in the detail!! (if i ignore it should have been "devil's in the details", bc yk, thats the saying) - naomi is only 15 years old can u believe it . and they gave her such a dark heavy song - yes, krick's song is the elsie bay one lol and it shows - edsun is the one who got to keep his own song! it is however also my last place - chaild is just pronounced like child - my personal top 3 is krick, naomi and one last time
Very strong selection for Luxembourg. My top 8: 1. Hold On 2. Believer 3. Drowning in the Rain 4. Fighter 5. Devil in the detail 6. Paumee Sur Terre 7. Drop 8. Finally Alive I would honestly be happy with any of my top 6 winning, they are all great imo
Hello Shane , I am a new subscriber and I have to say that we have the same taste of music 🎵 ❤ all of your top 3 of national finals all also mine as well 😊
my faves are "Fighter" and Krick's "Drowning in the Rain"; I will be happy if any of the two wins. the French part of "Fighter" kinda reminds me of "Bah non" of Philippine (one of the songs at the French selection in 2021, which lost to Voilà at that time), it has that similar French sassiness/attitude. while Krick's entry gives us that enchanting dramatic vibe expected by a co-composition of Elsie Bay.
On initial listen when the songs came out Drop was my favourite but since Believe has grown on me so is now my joint favourite. I am certainly very happy Luxembourg is back.
I think all these 8 songs are good or decent, but my 2 favorites are Devil In The Detail and Finally Alive(as I believe the last funky one was called). Maybe when they are performed some of them will be elevated and give out more strong contender vibes, and I like that at least two of them are in french.
Mate theres no shame in loving female bops haha. I love a sad boy. Love drowning in the rain and devil in the detail. Youll have to get LauraVision on to Eurovision tea 🤣🤣
I am convinced that some (or most...) of these "Scandinavian" written songs have lyrics that are AI-generated. How could a human mind put together some many words that don't belong together except for the rhyming ability? It takes human creativity to make songs that are clever and memorable.
I’m a little disappointed that they’re coming back with a few melfest/mgp rejects in the selection, but it’s a broadly decent set. I think my two favourites at the moment are Drop (and I think Angy has a writing credit on that) and Fighter.
I'm rooting for Finally Alive, and I hope Edsun can elevate this live. I feel every Eurovision entrant should have at least a modicum amount of connection to the song they're performing.
I imagine Krick is going to win and as someone who loves a ballad, i can see the merits in it but if there is one thing i’ll never fully mesh with is what i feel is too Bond ballad and this is exactly that sadly🤷♂️ My Top 2 which were both Green Tier are Naomi and Joel even if Believer is rather generic. I haven’t listened to Tali’s Fighter since i listened to them all over a week ago but i had it Red Tier💀 Might have to re-listen properly, either for it to change my mind or figure out why it clearly pissed me off that much🤣 Because it was only above Edsun’s I’m Alive in my ranking…
1 Fighter 2 Paumée sur terre 3 drowning in the rain Would be happy with any of the above 3 4 devil in the detail 5 drop/believer - cant pick between these two both have the same level of impact and are dependent on their choruses for me. They both lose me in the verses. 7 chaild - no impact on me at all 8 finally alive - the only song i dont like, but also one i think could do well.
I actually at first thought that this was one of the strongest nationals, together with Finland. They are all easy listening, there is no song that is like an absolute NOPE. But, after a few listenings, actually none got stick with me, and they are all very overproduced in the studioversion. So I am not so convinced anymore and very interested in seeing this live before I give my opinion again. For now, Krick and Chaild (yep, older than you 🤣🤣🤣) are my personal favourites based on taste. And I love the lyrics of Noemi Ayé. Tali is to generic for me.
Whats your favourite from Luxembourg Song Contest 2024? Let me know in the comments below 👇 ⬇
Tali is my number 1 played song this season. I think I listened to it 30 times in a row one day, so needless to say I’m rooting for her lol
Fighter is so good!! The general favorite seems to be Drowning in the Rain, but I think Tali has a better chance to appeal to jury and televote equally than any other song in the selection.

You spotted the Elsie Bay song real fast, it sounds very her ngl. Im happy with your top 3, Im good with Luxembourg sending one of those! 🔥

Hello Shane , I am a new subscriber and I have to say that we have the same taste of music 🎵 ❤ all of your top 3 of national finals all also mine as well 😊

Good to hear our tastes are similar 😃

Luxembourg has a strong selection 👏 My favourite is «Fighter». No doubt 🤩

1. Devil In the detail
2. Drowning.
Last. Fighter
Taste for “Drop” so underrated by fandom
For me it’s Naomi all the way. I see her easily making the top 10, even much higher depending on the other countries.
I think all these 8 songs are good or decent, but my 2 favorites are Devil In The Detail and Finally Alive(as I believe the last funky one was called). Bingo 😂
I really think drowning in the rain could get a top 5 or at least top 10 in malmö

When will you react to Supernova?
This week 😃
1 Fighter
2 Paumée sur terre
3 drowning in the rain
Would be happy with any of the above 3
4 devil in the detail
5 drop/believer - cant pick between these two both have the same level of impact and are dependent on their choruses for me. They both lose me in the verses.
7 chaild - no impact on me at all
8 finally alive - the only song i dont like, but also one i think could do well.
