It was the thing back then. Do you know how it began? He didn't just start doing it because he liked to do it everywhere all the time. There was a contestant on one of the early shows who as really nervous and Dawson asked if he could give her a kiss for luck. She says yes, and then when Richard went to the next contestant, she said, "Well don't I get a kiss?" Some people did think it was creepy, so finally Dawson asked viewers to write in if they wanted it to stop, and the viewers overwhelmingly wanted it to continue. People didn't like it back then, just as they don't now, but today society backs them up. Back then they didn't care whether women felt offended or uncomfortable.
It seemed few of them ever turned him down. I think it all started during his Match Game days. You win some money, you get to kiss the star that you matched answers with. Gave ordinary folks a chance to live out their fantasy.
Family feud with Richard Dawson is the best
This special was the first time and only time eight is enough was the champs

Eight is enough wasn't a soap opera. It had a laugh track for crying out loud.

So sad Adam Rich died this month last year 😢
Does anyone know why David Letterman was the butt of Richards jokes?
@@wny9521 He had a talk show in the morning at the time and it bombed in the ratings.
Audio is terrible on this video
With all the Luke and Laura hype on General Hospital.
MacGyver!
Richard Dawson was awesome... He was...
Imagine how fast he would be labeled a creepy wierdo stalker loser perpetrator if he were in this age??? 😳
Boy Richard really loved kissing all the women. It's kind of gross.
