    Absolutely beautiful. I plan to make one now and I plan to sandwich a thin sheet of metal between the layers for a magnetic surface to pin papers onto inside the screen.

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was exactly my plan when I started this project. Unfortunately, I didn't have metal sheet in the shop and it would have taken weeks to get any during the pandemic. But i'll definitely try it for the next one I make. Thanks a lot for watching!

    It's very beautiful, but... the players can see through it, if you can add something to bridge the gaps it would be amazing!
    I miss using screens, now a days I can only play table top RPGs with my friends online using roll 20, etc... the advantage is that even having each one in a different part of the world now we can still hang out!

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you Khether. The gap is not that big, but I play with fairplay people not trying to cheat ;)
      Internet is great to keep us connected with friends, especially these days. Happy you can keep playing online!

    Il me semble que tu as une nouvelle machine (touret), non ?

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Merci you Bernard. Oui, j'ai investi dans quelques machines, histoire de gagner un peu de temps. Un petit touret pour les bords, une machine à dorer, et deux trois autres outils. Bientôt dans les prochaines vidéos.

    How does the inside work for attaching papers and stuff without damaging the leather?

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can insert a thin plate of steel between the two layers of leather and use magnets.

    Awesome but sadly there is a huge flaw, the gaps between the panels make the inside of the screen visible, that's a big no-no. Cheers!

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. But I feel sorry for you if you have to play with people searching to see behind the screen. I'd recommend you to search for new friends to play with.

      @@RedSmithWorkshop How to fix a discussible design choice:
      CHANGE FRIENDS!!
      xD made me laugh harder than it should have lol.
      Mine was more like a "friendly reminder"; if it was me and i was in the market for a piece like this i wouldn't have bought it for that reason, then you take the criticism as you like the most ;)

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My answer was a "friendly reminder" too. If the people you're playing with are so eager to win the game by cheating, I personally don't consider them to be my friend or just good people. But you chose the people you surround yourself with as you wish.
      This screen is a foldable one. If you had taken the time to thing a little bit about the design, you wouldn't call is "discussible". In order to have three panels to fold and become one, you need hinges. As these are made out of leather, they are pretty flexible and you can easily align the three panels to not have any gap between them. I could have made hinges cover all the panel sides, but it wasn't the look I was going for. That's one of the many possibilities and one of the design I had in mind. I have many others I'm gonna make. I hope you'll like the next ones better.
      Also, next time you go to Tokyu Hands, Yuzawaya or Seikado in Shinjuku, have a thought for me, that's were I used to buy most of my supplies.
      Have a good day.

    Nice piece. You've used the D&D name and logo....worried about copyright infringement? Does D&D company care? Just curious..some companies will come after you. I guess if you're not selling it, it might be ok. Anyway, a nice piece of work, clean, simple, functional. Thanks for sharing.

    • @RedSmithWorkshop
      @RedSmithWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I'm selling the pattern for the screen but without the D&D logo on it, so it can be customized. Big companies don't worry too much about builds like mine as it advertises for their products. It would be very different if I'd be selling a lot of screen like this one. Some companies are very touchy though and don't allow customized products or cosplays, which is a shame. Thanks for watching!
