The 70s feel makes it better
For horror, above all else.
IDK why but it does. Maybe because I was born in 75 and things still SCARE you when you're little. But it applies to people who weren't alive in the 70s too. It's weird

@@shitface1704 the lead character in this. Hes had small side roles in like every big-budget movie in the 2010s. You might notice him in The Dark Knight, Dune, Blade Runner 2049, Prisoners, and Oppenheimer to name a few.
I remember Dastmalchian since the days of “that creepy dude from The Dark Knight”. And now, after so many years, after small but memorable roles, like the Joker gang leader and Polkadotman, Dastmalchian finally has a leading role!

This looks like it will be an interesting take on a villain protagonist. A guy who is not actively trying to hurt people, but IS willing to endanger countless people for the sake of higher ratings.

Idea is from a BBC tv program in the nineties that pretended the set was actually haunted and had demons on it .. loads of people thought it was real and zero social media until school next day .. was wild

I really like the attention to detail paid to the era this takes place in. I love it when it looks authentic like that.
Except for the skull mask at 0:53 and the glossy matte black finish of the book cover at 1:13, it all looks very 70's! love it.

I saw this about a year ago at an event. It's a fantastic film... I've been anticipating it's release merely so I can see how this thing blows the entire world away when they see it. It's original and ridiculously arresting. Everyone's in for a treat

I LOVE how real this looks as if it was actually filmed in the 70s, the SOUND design of this is stunning, the fact this didnt even show much of the film is amazing. Cant wait to see this. Some of the horror scenes remind me of “Scanners” IYKYK. They really made this feel like a Biopic, so realistic.

Reminds me of that BBC programme Ghostwatch in 1992 . It was a halloween special and showed a woman who claims her house has a poltergeist. No one knew it was fake and it actually traumatized people, even a teenage boy killed himself. The BBC got sued over it.

Saw this in theaters. Different than the trailer, but also 100% fulfilling and met my very high expectations. It was very reminiscent of the Exorcist.

Polka-Dot Man was my favorite character in The Suicide Squad and that movie is packed with good characters. David Dastmalchian is deserving of a leading role and I’m excited to watch this movie

Really enjoyed this movie, felt like an excellent breath of fresh air. I was hooked as the late show went on after a build up and it made me feel cozy and fuzzy being part of the audience so to speak.
Watched it last night in the cinema, and it's def a completely new / refreshing format of story telling. Will leave you thinking about it after leaving.
It's really upsetting it took David thing long to get a lead role. I always found him to be so interesting. Great weird screen presence.
I remember when this was advertised back in October of 1977! But I didn’t watch it back then I was tuned into NBC to watch The Johnny Carson Show and the later on watched Tom Synder afterwards.
I hope it does great, not only is it well reviewed, but David Dastmalchian has been hammering away in quality movies for over a decade, and now has a leading role.

I LOVE They are making these current horror films 70s style! They are some of the most disturbing & scariest movies! It takes me back to my childhood when I fell in love with horror seeing TCM74 for the first time. Being only 32 I can agree & see the true terror of those Films. The way they are filmed, the costumes & mood is just UNMATCHED!!!
