I love the rather jumbled nature of the origin of the name of Anthony Quinn Bay - the US-raised, Irish-Mexican actor, most famous for playing a Greek man in _Zorba the Greek_ , came to Greece beforehand to shoot another film, about an entirely fictional Greek island (Navarone), and fell in love with the place in Rhodes where he was filming, which was later named after him by the locals because he _couldn't_ buy it 😄😁 A very beautiful place, too - I can see why he was smitten.
That sea is extraordinarily blue - does it really look so intensely-coloured to the eye, or has the camera/editing increased its saturation? (I very much hope it's the former - it looks so enticing and beautiful.) ☀🌅🏝🌊
