Didn't think they actually included a episode recounting how the Original Storm Hawks lost. This is cool, but I would have loved to see an entire flashback episode with the Old Storm Hawks. The show ended too soon.
I think that was aerrows father aerrow was orphaned very young so I'm thinking lightning strike was his father but he probably doesn't remember him since lightning was probably not in his life much since he was in war with cyclonia
The fact that Dark Ace is still a relatively young adult when Aerrow becomes a Sky Knight kind of makes it obvious. Plus, being a descendant means that he's a direct relative, not that he's from several generations after. And the final point in favour of Lightning and Aerrow being father and son is the fact that Cyclonis is a child in this flashback and a teenager in the rest of the show.

All they said was he was the guy's descendant, that doesn't mean they're father and son.
