Awesome job proxy!
@ Thank you my friend 😊
It's 3am sir.
Who do you think you are, Auspex Tactics?!
I’m an absolute goblin 👹
Hahahaha 😂
A point to note on Reavers, you can take units of 6 for 12 OC - you can move them in your opponents shooting phase and also trigger the 6 mortal wounds, with caltrops to rr two of those dice you can shift them 16" aggressively to steal objectives and do 4MW for free!
In Ynnari you can also take sticky kabs inside a sticky Venom, if they kill the venom to stop you holding an obj, you get the kabs out... if they kill those, you can just use the strat for sticky obj - or place down the yncarne. OR! When the venom dies, get the unit of kabs out behind a wall, then just move them onto the obj again at the end of the phase as you lost a unit.
I cannot wait to exploit all these small plays :D
(The ability for a complete normal move in your opponents turn, AFTER they finish all of their shooting is absolutely insane. At the moment it's being shadowed by the raw power of phoenix lords, but I see a resurgence of Ynnari in three months time)
Ya man kabs are still good but Ynnari have that Strat to give an obj sticky anyways which I know is strictly not as good in some situations but kabalites are a bit pricy at 110 with no rerolls like they got in the index. But I will say guide looks good on them!
Good point about the reavers too!
@@lukequadling399 It will be one of the dominate lists in competitive play for sure
Yeah, kablites open up a pretty unique play. You move them onto an objective at the end of your opponents shooting phase, sticky it on your turn and move away. So you sticky it while never being able to be shot.
Eldrad is my favourite 40k character so I’m super happy he has found more purpose
Definitely an auto include imho
Same here! He is the whole reason I got into this money pit lol
@ hell yea brotha haha
I think a lot of players are underestimating how CP hungry this codex is. Defenders also make him far easier to protect now.
@@ProxyHammer1gotta disagree with that one, even as an eldar fan. For his price we could have a phoenix lord. We're tight on points and having a dude running around with a caddy unit that also has to be paid for doesn't sit right with me.+1 to wound is great but for the price of him and his guardian unit you could bring 10 reapers or 10 dragons. He reminds me of a worse Azrael as the latter actually can tango in the middle later in the game and joins good units.
NOICE, I've still got a solid A tier army! I said it once and i'll say it again, I can't wait for this codex!
ISHA BE PRAISED!
Praise to Isha!
Let's go !!!
I really REALLY would appreciate if you could do a tier list for some specific detatchments like Wraith, Harlequins and Ynnari !
Will definitely do this! Just need a few games with each one!
Small correction that may or may not matter that much: the Voidscarred ability isn’t once per game. It's "at the start of the battle" pick one enemy unit to get lethal and precision against. Also they were never battleline, just the Voidreavers.
I'm so sad that they were left behind in the glow-up, hopefully the rumors of a corsairs codex supplement end up being true.
I hope the rumors are true too, also ya I know I meant once per game as they are unlikely to live after that
main problem is, they are excluded from battle focus. so they don't have a faction ability
Thanks @proxyhammer1!Great stuff as always. Really looking forward to a video for the Ynnari detachment and list building.
Absolutely my friend I can’t wait also! Ynnari soon!
5 man Fire Dragon squads are absolutely the way to go, especially since then you get 2 exarch weapons. I'm seriously considering two squads of 5, each in a falcon, one with an Autarch and one with Fuegan.
That’s a good combo! I’m considering the same but with serpents that my rangers can retreat into with their reactive moves
That way you will have half of those guys potentially overwatched. Running 1 unit of 10 allows all of them to avoid it.
The falcon gives the 5man unit No value. They already have full rerolls. A Serpent might be better.
@ With the Falcon they will get rerolls to wound tough units that are not vehicles and monster
My "problem" is, that in my mind you have other stuff to deal with terminators (eg). But against cks you need a unit, that can reliably kill 2 baby knights.
I was rather wondering, if feugan ist worth having, if you pay less for 5 more Dragons that propably deal more damage. Talking about aspect host😊
I will try the 10 man in a Serpent without feugan today. I got the feeling, that popping sustained and lethal on that unit will also delete up to 3 baby knights each Turn.
Vibro canon is back ! 🎉🎉
I agree with you most of the time. It's a long job to make this kind of video so thank you.
My absolute pleasure! And yes Vibro Meta!
Great video as always. Glad to see you agree with most of my takes as well. I haven't included any C or D tier units in any of my lists yet except for one. I believe the Archon is a little better than you think for a couple reasons. If you do want to take the third unit of Incubi I think he's the punch the unit needs. The rerolls to wound work on fight on death. Running up the board after being delivered in a Venom picking off skirmishing units is a great job for them. Always keep them out of line of sight. Also rapid ingressing them in a deep striking venom is amazing against some lists that just can't screen you out. If they commit some trash skirmishing unit into them then you just kill them. If they commit a real combat unit into them 1cp fight on death is a hell of thing. Take a bunch with you and finish off the squad the next turn with your other small units. They become your bait unit that the opponent either has to go deal with or leave alone to keep picking things off. For 150 points they have to be answered and in true Eldar fashion they'll have to position themselves in horrible places to do it where you can counter punch. I mean that's basically the entire plan for Ynnari. Make them make bad trades while you zip around the board punching them in the face. No matter what they answer you have a response. I believe the Archon has the abilities to bring the Incubi to the point of can't be ignored especially in a detachment who doesn't have access to the Eldrad and his CP. Also Shadow Field means sometimes he just doesn't die. We've all had those games where you roll the 1 first but I've also had him survive three combats so the enemy needs to bring some attacks to force you to roll a bunch of dice. That being said I think he only goes up to B tier as he's the third character you want and only if you are taking the three Incubi squads.
That’s a good point on the archon I’ll have to reconsider him!
This video has been extremely useful as I tend to lean to hard into the detachments gimics. An example of this from my last game was no battle line units to screen with aspect host and its nice to know what's good and what's not.
I’m glad you found it helpful 😊
Thanks for content. Tried the guardian brick Monday and I like it
It’s a great anchor unit!
1 thing I'd like to point out is that although we are calculating a unit's strength on average dice, we are not playing on average dice, your opponent still has to roll his saves and his rolls could be on either end of the spectrum. I think weight of dice is so much better than a few shots that are good against a specific target in terms of wounds, although I'd like to run the math for that to see where the tipping point is. Now for Fuegan I like to run him in a wave serpent with 5 dragons and have some 5 reapers in there as well.
I totally agree with you! I just use mathhammer as a baseline for what I can realistically expect
I heard a take on the wayleaper that he can do grenades for free every turn which actually doesn’t sound too bad to scoot him around with his fusion gun
Ya it’s not bad just somthing I wouldn’t pay 80pts for necessarily
Hey Proxy! Still getting through the vid...but- Counter point on the wayleaper 16:20. He has the grenades strat he could use for free, and if utilizing the flickerjump/grenades/fusion gun he is another severely fast mortal wound/heavy damage dealing model with the versatility the spiders bring as well. Is it worth the points? Depends on your local meta, but I don't think he's a sleeper by any means.
Ya he is pretty good!
My poor Fire Prisms
Look at what they've done to my boy
My boy!!!
I think they are fine. All the lists I've seen people make rely too much of getting Fire Dragons to be 8.9" from a tank to kill it. Not an easy task as they can easily ve screened.
so hyped to get my hands on the book and plastic! Thinking wayleaper(with 10 hawks and shimmerstone) and footarch (with 10 banshees ofc, and aspect of murder on the chainsword)! i think the hawktarch squad can provide a nice 24 inches of covering fire and deepstrike behind enemy lines, and the footarch will blend most and especially help clear chaff.
There are some wild combos in aspect host!
@@ProxyHammer1 yes indeed, such flavor!
Autarch on foot is extremely good in Dark Reapers, free strat to get them back inside a wave serpent, as you wouldnt probably bring maugan ra. It's easily A tier if you take this in consideration.
I agree I think the autarch is really good in either warhost or aspect host
One important thing about the solo warlock is that unlike the conclave she’s a character and thus can take enhancements. I play Seer Council and don’t feel like it’s worth to add a Farseer to a backfield guardian blob to flip a bright lance shot and be slightly more durable vs precision snipers etc. They’ll be almost exclusively out of LoS shooting with a Shadow Weaver and acting as a psyker anchor for dark reaper unit. So I run a Warlock with Lucid Eye instead, save those 30 points :)
Nice I like that!
Cheers mate, I like it too! Although it’s a *25 points saving, not 30 ^^
For the record. the Wayseeker in the Voidcarred can trigger the Psyker abilities required by wraith constructs.
Finally watched it all! Enjoyed that.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it was quite long!
@@ProxyHammer1 Now a detachment tier list!
Was waiting for this! Thanks.
Absolutely! Glad to hear it 😊
Started to paint my index army in august of last year. Nearly made 2k points and now can start again :D
Haha nice! Love it!
Having played 10 games in the new codex, I find that Lhykis makes dire avengers, with some stratagem support, hit really hard. Avengers punch up fairly well and are an excellent mid board control unit with Asurmen. One thing I didn't expect is how much dmg they do without Assman even hitting. Lastly I would be very careful charging Lhykis and her squad into anything that ahe hasn't marked.
Ya Lhykis can really only deal with marine profiles without marking
It's real unfortunate what happened to the corsairs really love them and were a significant part of my army pre codex. Hope they get buffs and changes or they will just be my killteam only.
They are still decent just not in comparison to the other codex infantry who compete in the same role
The whispers in the Warp are that the corsairs are getting a full range with prince yriels new model, hence why their datasheets didn't change.
@@XvShadowsvX it would be nice if true, especially since my aeldari army is heavily inspired by lugganath. And a Corsair less lugganath feels wrong lol
@@XvShadowsvX I hope so!
And here's me hoping for a solid Corsair army this codex..........
Sadly GW hates pirates 🏴☠️
@ 😢
Really looking forward to delving into this 👍
However, I know it's a lot of work, but it would really nice with tinestanps for such a long video.
Just finished timestamps :) 😊links in pinned comment
@ProxyHammer1 awesome 👌🙏
I plan on using a solo warlock paired with a Footarch on a guardian Defender unit in the seer Council detachment. Allows for free uses of stratagems as well as a good defender of the home objective with -2 to charge hopefully denying a deep strike unit from stealing it.
I like that combo!
Great stuff my man
My pleasure! 😇
Great list thanks, subbed hoping you will brew some lists too
Absolutely will craft some lists!
Playing my first games today with War Host, I'm gonna see what two Shadowweaver Plats feel like. Shutting down secondaries, hopefully more.
Those platforms are so good!
@ProxyHammer1 3 seems like enough to make your opponent run out of fiddly scoring units by BR 3
@@TerryG67 Ya its pretty effective!
49:30 - i guess it is better to have a War Walker with Bright Lance + Shuriken Cannon in order to guarantee that at least some shots land on target and its ability works.
Ya I feel that i am debating that exact same thing
@@ProxyHammer1biggest problem that it’s looks completely uncool on model, imo
@ ya very true, I’ll be going with twin lances regardless I can CP reroll if need be
Can also try and get missile launchers as a compromise, they're my favourite from a lore/ modelling perspective
skatter for more shots and range....
What I like about the codex is, that even the average and below average unit can become good in the right detachment.
56:14 You don't need to hit with Vibro Cannons to get the bonus, it merely needs to target a unit that has already has been targeted by a vibro cannon. It only says that an attack needs to be made, not that it needs to hit. I honestly think they are better than people think. 3 of them have similar damage as 10 Dark Reapers and cost 150 points. They might not be able to retreat into wave serpents, but they are not as succeptible to bolter fire either and it doesn't cost a CP. They could be good with and without guardian support. Solo they can screen deepstrike.
1:20:25 Jain Zar doesn't give her unit Storm of Silence (reroll against character units). Only her model.
I did t realize they did not need to hit! Wow! Even better in guardian battlehost!
Ahhh also didn’t realize it was just her when she leads banshees, still good tho
I think eldar are gonna suffer because alot of our leaders can only lead specific units.
I say we bring back look out sir but modify it. So if youre within say 3" of a friendly unit you can "attach" to them in the command phase simply giving them ur buff and being considered apart of that unit for that round. but if you move outside 3" the attachment breaks and you lose the protection of the unit.
This way regardless of what a character is usiny to get around the battlefield he can buff any unit.
Example:
Farseer on foot standing next to shining spears. Attaches to them in commamd phase. Gives them reroll 1s. They move on your movement phase and get the buff until the next command phase since they are now out of range of the foot seer.
Another side note. I think they should give warlocks the reroll wound rolls of 1 rather than eldrad. Probably make them more expensive but it would make them a staple in eldard armies which they SHOULD be
I personally don’t think it’s that big of a deal with how much mobility our detachments have
His weapon ability is insane. Now I play against Dark Angels a lot so it ain’t going to be as good with their Watcher in the Dark ability but even still, it’s a massive feels bad for most other forces.
But then it is once per battle so if it flops…it’s not uncommon to flop 1,2,2 out of 6 dice to wound 😂
@@FarseerB1rdy very good points!
I agree Vibrocannons aren’t better than C tier but it’s so much easier to get the buffs than you make it out to be. The fact you DON’T need your opponent to be on an objective marker means they can’t play around you. It’s enough that YOU are on an objective to get the detachment bonus. So I’m reality you’re running them in a battery of three lumped together on an objective and focusing down various heavier targets :)
Remember they need LOS though so positioning wise it might be hard to get Los on your chosen target from towing an obj
That’s true, I still want to try them out a few times in Guardian Host though ^^
@ I think they look very fun and good into the right matchups in the old guardian host!
Wwwoooooooo. Its 3 am here and this will help me finish my paper
Excellent!! Good luck on the paper!!
FAQ & Errata, Points, etc are on WH Community.
I think that Farseer, Warlock, Guardians combo has been locked out.
Page 139 - Warlock Conclave Delete ‘Character’ from Keyword section.
Change Leader section to: ‘At the start of the Declare Battle Formations step, if this unit is not an Attached unit, this unit can join one Guardian Defenders or Storm Guardians unit from your army (a unit cannot have more than one Warlock Conclave unit joined to it). If it does, until the end of the battle, every model in this unit counts as being part of that Bodyguard unit, and that Bodyguard unit’s Starting Strength is increased accordingly.’
Perfect! This makes everything I thought possible! The deathstar is still in!
@ProxyHammer1 that's good. Wasn't sure if having the attached farseer locked it out. Still waiting for the codex to arrive but at least the app has the points updated now.
@@SteveForteGMR Farseers can attach to guardians separately as per their datasheet even if there is another warlock in the unit
@ProxyHammer1 ah, now that makes sense.
Used to always see a lot of choices in these tierlists of yours that I disagreed with, but this time I think you're pretty much right on the money with almost all of these. I have yet to play any games with the new rules so I really only have my instincts to go by. There's only a few small revisions I'd make.
I think I'd rate the Vyper a high B. The ability did get a lot worse, and it already wasn't run much as a cheap action monkey. Granted, our best option for that role kinda lost what made it good at that sort of thing (uppy-downy hawks), but I'd still rate shroud runners for instance higher than a Vyper for a support/secondary scoring role.
Starweaver is a transport you can take in multiple detachments, but only shines in one. I'd drop it down one rank as well. For the Ynnari stuff I get rating just for one detachment, but quins do technically have options, and in all detachments bar their own I probably wouldn't run them much, let alone with a transport. I'd bump this down to B as well.
I'd probably rate the footarch in A personally. There's a few detachments where there is pretty good codex strat support for the units he can join, and even if there isn't, a free Grenades, Go to ground, Epic Challenge, Heroic Intervention, Overwatch, or 1CP Interrupt are all things that can really impact the outcome of a game.
D for the Fire Prism might be a bit harsh. I think it's only a small points tweak away from being a fairly decent main battle tank. The complete lack of detachment support does hurt though. Armoured host is still absolutely awful as well. If the Prism turned out cheap enough though, I can see it being an effective one-off gun platform. It's still a very big gun, with its own inbuilt rerolls (I believe, right?) and high flat damage rate, with the option of being a relatively effective marine-sweeper.
And yes, sadly I do have to agree that the Avatar is kinda pants now.
Ya I was too harsh on the prism and I can see the usefulness of a footarch especially in aspect host with the rerolls he will get
Awesome video as always! Still think a single fire prism in the back is worth the cost, should get atleast 2 rounds if shooting if not 3 out of it on some board deployments.
My issue with that is sometimes those two rounds of shooting kill like an impulsor
Fair point but with cover/ invuls it won’t get the job done most of the time
Ya true
I play competitively, and I predict people will use less and less T3 character units as time pass. You put fireprism in D... but in time I think people will use 1-2 of them as staple. While slowly NOT using Lhykis.
Besides that generally agreed except... wayleaper. I think wayleaper is alot better than lhykis, even with warpspiders. Remember, he has grenades, Lhykis does not. A character unit of WS and wayleaper jumps in, blows up a rhino, charges the passengers and kill them too.
I was too harsh on prism but god damn it was nerfed. I think small units of characters with their aspects will become more popular with time
Interesting I actually didn’t realize that but that’s pretty strong!
Random question: I’m running Aspect Host and have a 1990 point force. Now I have points set aside for 10 Fire Dragons and Fuegen coming out of a Waver Serpent. I believe it is 435 points. Now I understand that is a lot of points (like you mentioned). What is your specific thought process about running 10 Fire Dragons? Is it a complete overkill? I feel like the two tokens on Fuegan make him devastating. I also run 5 Howling Banshee with Jain Za. I am tempted to drop the 5 Fire Dragons and snag Eldrad for the CP generation. I could then put the Fire Dragon and Howling Basnhee squad in the same Serpent. What would be a stronger combination in your opinion? 10 Fire Dragons or 5 Dragons + Eldrad? I am also running the Avatar and don’t know if I should drop him for more Aspects or keep him because he is still useable?
I think you want to run them as a 5 man Fuegan only needs 1 token to auto guarantee a sustained hit with his lance profile for vehicles. 10 man is really expensive and a good opponent won’t just let you wipe out three tanks with one activation
I think there's one viable use case for Voidscarred, which is as a bodyguard for Yvraine. They're still probably worse than Incubi in that role, but she does give them Battle Focus and access to Ynnari stratagems, which makes them a lot more useable than they otherwise would be. Plus, having her psychic attack benefit from their precision ability could be quite tasty in the right situation. Outside of that one scenario, I agree, they're pretty terrible.
I didn’t think of that but good point I guess it would indeed give them battle focus!
The autarch wayleaper is useful in Ynnari where you can't take the phoenix lords.
Yes absolutely love him for free Strats
I've played five games with a wraithost list, and the "b tier except in spirit conclave" for all of the wraith constructs (besides lord because lord fuckin rocks now) has certainly felt true. I would not want to run a unit of guard outside of conclave, but inside of conclave with a big support network and a wave serpent to fix their poor movement they feel so threatening, especially on overwatch. I would even argue inside of a wraithhost that knight has felt fairly fieldable as well, maybe up to B tier, just because it's such a high saturation of targets that if the opponent spends a turn of shooting trying to kill the knight, three lords go uncontested and they have some awesome shooting now. Castleing up with a bunch of high-medium tanky guys and having a bunch of warlocks and rangers to score and screen has felt awesome. (undefeated thus far woohoo)
Love that you are rocking the spirithost! Can't wait to start running it myself in 1k games after the new CP comes in!
so quick question. How would you run scorpions? 5 or 10 man units? and what weapons do you favor on the exarch?
5 man units with biting blade, they are a melee scout/skirmish unit so best not to invest in them too much
@ thank you so much! I wasnt sure between biting blade or scorpions claw
Well executed video! I get that people love these list but we have what 9 different detachments that makes different units good in certain situation so to make a overall greatest hits list is kind of useless. Make a tier list for each detachment :D
Agreed! Will probably do somthing a bit differently with the detachments and go more in depth with them than this which is more generalized
Yep. Hemlock in Seer Council with Dread stratagem. Battleshock at -2 works against some armies.
Surprigly well! Really good against those primary jockeys!
(will edit this comment with timestamps for things that catch my attention)
20:40 i honestly think the DJ is one of the best units... In Reaper's wager. He farms you a BUNCH of pain tokens with his battleshock trigger ! He is also good in ghosts of the webway to sit on a point to score primaries since he can be easily resurected.
25:30 the hazardous is insane, you can force your opponent into making up to 20 hazardous rolls, it's a mega grenade on crack
32:30 I really think Incubi are a noob trap. Outside of Skysplinter assault they are really not that good. You don't get Lance, you don't get the Archon+pain token combo. I really don't see them working that well in practice.
1:49:45 there are some good strats for Wraithknights in Ynnari
He is really good in those specifically and not great outside of that
If anything playing against incubi has left a scar on many people so bringing 5 and acting like they are a deathstar like that alone will make other players make dumb calls.
@@goldenruhl246 Fair call and very deadly with a character
33:51 I'm probably way too late and ten other people commented this, but Yvraine cannot go into Spirit Conclave. All Ynnari models are limited to the Ynnari detachment.
Strange, where can I find where it says this?
@@ProxyHammer1 Now you actually got me to find my totally legit definitely not photographs of someone else's codex pdf again. And seems I was mistaken, they actually have Aeldari as a keyword. There's just an exclusion with any other epic heroes. I wonder why army faction and keyword were flipped from the index. Probably just to not have to put Drukhari as the faction for the non-hero ynnari datasheets I guess.
Probably now I'm also about the tenth person figuring out they were mistaken :D
@ It’s weird though for sure… I know Ynnari units cannot go into serpents or falcons there are some restrictions
I am wounding of 10 incubi on a raodwr woth Yvarne is naybe a bit better than it looks. You can use your out of turn notmal move with star wngines tk zoom that raider up, disembark, move charge. So you go where ever you want.
With a large unit, you have a big foot print which will allow you to chain out and use the 6" consolidate to touch mlre stuff. Then when you get shot, you can fade back into combat with the specail Ynari fade back. You then have fight forst to count units digging you out.
I know this is a bit lf a perfect storm but you have so much movement, it seems doable
It’s a decent unit for sure I’m just thinking the get back in the transport ability might be the better all round choice
Yeah I’m on the fence about dark reapers too because I don’t own any yet. I think like 2-3x5 or might end up being good for the matchup into guard mortars and they are kinda the main longer ranger shooting option in the book
Also with the swarm profile option they seem like a nice piece for consistency across match ups
Ya I like them I just don't think they are quite as auto include as people think
With War Walkers probably never being packaged with enough Bright Lances to kit them out properly (without paying out more for extras). What's a good build out of the box for running them solo?
I think Lance and starcannon is the next best option
@ProxyHammer1 wasn't sure if it would be that or bright lance and missile
@ I don’t care for EML but that is an option tbh!
Heyo, im a bit confuse. Spiritseer canot be a leader anymore, only gives bufs when its close, but there is enchacement ,,highier duty" and its says ,,berers unit" but spiritseer canot lead anything.so its works only on spiritseer or on closes wrats too?
Only works on him, wraiths have to use the BF move fade back to get back in transport
@ProxyHammer1 big thanks for making IT a bit clear^^ IT would by fun and most of, if its works for closest wraiths too
Another good video but think the farseer should go to B. Like theyre fine but mostly useful for the weaker detachments. In the stronger detachments i would rather just take more stuff
Guide is pretty strong he is great in the psyker based stuff and good in all other detachments but not insane
so there is a point I would like to make for 16:06 since we have yet to see the slap it on the unit for the legends stuff the shadow spectres would love the way leaper as sustained on 10 blast weapons would be scary or lethal hits for just free
That would be awesome! 😎
What strat would I want to use with warp spiders? uhh overwatch?
Fire and fade is good, Overwatch is good, psychic shield, there are honestly a bunch of good choices
I don't play competitively but your list makes sense.
One thing I would say though, I think a lot of people were sleeping on Asurman. He has been phenomenal in every game I've played and has only gotten better.
I didn't hear anyone ever talking about him before now.
Ya I liked him before too, he was solid!
If I got the teasers right, you can't take Yvraine in any other detachment than Devoted of Ynnead cause of the keywords and as far as I know you cannot increase BS/WS more than +1, so i dont quiet understand why you think wraithlords could hit on 2+. Please enlighten me if I am wrong! :D
You can take her in any detachment as long as there are no other epic characters aside from yncarne. Also with the wraithlord the reason they stack is because guide is +1 to hit and his ability near psykers is +1 BS/WS and those are different buffs. On is a direct buff to BS characteristic and +1 to hit you can never have more than 1 of. So they stack :) Astra Millitarum do the same thing with their take aim order which gives +1 BS
I think it's reasonable to take 10 fire dragons in games with deamons and heretic legions because you want amount of attacks to go through invuls. In my last game 5 dragons with fuegan was not enough to kill Magnus because opponent do some magic with his dice. By the way Magnus has killed by jain Zar in the saim turn)
You are absolutely correct, the hardest targets in the game will not go down to 5 alone
Great video!
Thank you my friend!! 🙏😎
Jester is fantastic with murders jest in the quin detachment.
Agreed!
The trick to corsairs is and always has been versatility they might not be as good as scorpions at close combat but have way better range they might not be as good at range as dark Reapers but have better close combat
Fair enough! Jack of all trades!
Fire Prism didn't lose rerolls. One of the few if not the only unit that didn't
it lost one set of rerolls though it used to get 2 rerolls to hit and wound
@@ProxyHammer1ah I see, I read wrong in the leaked version, too blurry. Now I have the codex and it's clear
@ A true shame what it lost with no real point decrease
I love my pirates and i'll make them work! Two 5x voidscarred with the Psyker keyword in spirit conclave. Some scouting that the detachment lacks, extra enablers for your strategems and when they die you get your "revenge" token
That’s actually a great idea but you would need them in a unit of 10 to get the psyker right?
@@ProxyHammer1 Damn it you are right. The 5-man is felarch + 4 guys. Back to the drawing board. My original idea was Yvraine + 10 Voidscarred + Yncarne in the spirit conclave (I love my Ynnari) - complete overkill. Maybe if they drop 10-20 points.
Your work is great by the way. Thank you!
@@tonyg8306 My pleasure! didnt want you to find that out mid game! Use warlock skyrunners for that, or simply yvraine with some guardians for free fade away!
Needs to be 10. Unfortunately.
Yeeee i waited that so lonnng
😊🙏
Honestly shocked you didn't put guardians in S tier lol
They are really good but I think not strictly necessary in all builds
@ProxyHammer1 it's a proxy thing
@ Haha true!
Maybe a stupid question, as I'm rather new to list building: What would be the reason on whtether I would go with a squad of 10, rather than two squads of 5? Other than having more bodyguards for your Phonix Lord or Autarch, I don't see why.
It’s all about stacking buffs and gaining additional damage on one unit through stratagems
I believe you forgot the troupe Master
Ya stupid me accidentally put a second war Walker in place of his image
Does the guardian death star work in spirit conclave? Also which support weapon would you give them, a shadow weaver?
It does indeed work in spirit conclave and I would give it a shadow weaver 😊
Ah, I think you forgot the shadow weaver, but to be expected with so many units :D what tier would you put it? Also how would you rate wraithguard with wraithcannons specifically in spirit conclave detachment? I love them but everyone is only talking about d-scythes :(
@ Shadow weaver is at 1:02:15 and it is very good for the points!
Ah no idea how I missed that, thanks! :D
Can you have two separate units in a wave serpent? Thought vehicles could only hold 1 unit. When it comes to the spiritseer and wraiths.
No vehicles can hold as many models as they can fit regardless of the number of units
I don't think I agree with the fire prism placement. Mainly because I just dont see it being worse the a D-cannon. Fire Prisms aren't what they were, but they still have the reroll to add a little consistency and with good positioning it could survive with fade back.
I was too harsh on it. It’s definitely not D tier probably C tier tbh
I play corsairs, fluffing, and last game a unit of void reavers took out a spirit seer and a 5 man? Wraith squad (eldar vs eldar), not disputing your complaints with both corsairs units but it’s as much about how you use them. As an assassination unit like that voidscarred are good, 3 squads of them would not be, but 1 squad, works very well, the real issue he corsairs (anrathe keyword) has is there is not an appropriate HQ, pirate princes are not psychers, the closest thing is autarchs, but they can’t join Corsair units and have lost lone op, what is the,ed hw for corsairs?
Interesting was this Index Eldar?
@ yeah, beil tan player but generic index it’s really with quins and wraiths thrown into aspect mix
Am i crazy but is Crimson hunter not essentially two BL Vypers with an extra pulse laser?
I get that a lot of a single Vypers value is it's scoring ability and disposability.
But if you were taking two Vypers with BL's then wouldn't then wouldn't a crimson hunter be better a lot of the time?
Given that units that do fly are often powerful such as: greater daemons, chaos primarchs, tau battle suits and Vehicles, Aeldari and Drukhari vehicles, custodes tanks, Flying hive tryants, C'Tan.
Seems much better value than a D cannon as well.
I may be totally wrong but it seems to me the choice is Single Vyper units or Crimson hunters not two Vypers.
I think
Vypers are good plug ins in most lists where the CH only wants to be in aspect host
Am I tripping, or is Troupemaster somehow not on the list?
You are right he is B tier because he is really only good in his Quins detachment for the points you pay
My tierlist decided to put two war Walker unit cards in there instead of TM
Did you miss Troupes Master?
Ya unfortunately the bubble was weirdly replaced with a second unit of war walkers…
@@ProxyHammer1 Oh! Thanks a lot!
@ He is in the same tier as Troupe, great unit with quins and really good in their detachment but not that useful outside of that.
I just don’t understand the wraith lord so high? Lost a pip of toughness and the -1 to wound from a farseer… I’m just not sure.
You rarely fortuned it anyways and it got a huge boost to its damage (accuracy and wound rolls)
Then what would be our long range anti tank option?
Wraithlords or war walkers imho
@ProxyHammer1 if it is T12+?
@ probably nothing lol maybe the wraithknight
@@ProxyHammer1 fire prism says hello
@ I personally dont like the thing but ya i guess its an option
i dont think you read the wraith fade back into a vehicle is right , maybe just go over it qagain may have misheard
Wraithguard or blades can indeed fade back into a vehicle as it’s classified as a normal move they just need to be close enough
@@ProxyHammer1 thanks for cleaning up!!!!
@ My pleasure!
I dislike that the codex basically made running the phoenix lords of aspect warriors mandatory for most of them. (Obviously not striking scorpions) The utility was taken out of the datasheets and put into stratagems or phoenix lord is a little frustrating for the army I’ve built so far. (Why did they butcher ynnari so bad)
I don’t think it’s mandatory at all but I feel you
Maugan Ra might be the only exception
He not that good with reapers and you’re better off taking an autarch
Hey GDubbs I want my autarch sky runner back!
Anybody have an opinion on Avatar of Khaine? Still good?
Not great for the points imho, late game sweeper that has trouble living after engaging
@ gotcha! Maybe won’t be too bad of an option to bring him out of reserve on turn 2 or 3 once you take out his biggest threats if possible
@ very true!
Lets gooooo
😎😊
Why is there no F tier?
Because we are Eldar…there is no F tier for the god species
Wild rider = wind rider?
I couldn’t remember exactly what the detachment was called
you take foot autarch over maugan ra
Yes i definitely would 🙏
Sadly the Fireprism does nothing good. Not T10, no smoke, just 2 shots with flat 6 dmg. Hes a Eldar vehicle so T9 is fine probably but since the nerv to linked fire he should have 4 shots to make him an option.
Agreed, just not enough damage and weak to invuls/smoke
Ameliorates.....
Sometimes idk what the F I’m saying
shining spears only B?
100%
Theyre still only marine bodies and are 120 points.
Yes moving through terrain is amazing which is why they're in B tier. They're usable and have good support in wind rider and aspect hosts, but they're not the star performers of those detachments.
Ya B tier but really good in aspect and wild host. I’d say in both those detachments they are A
Ya very true
Im still not seeing Asurmen and Dire Avengers as anything special 😔
They are pretty insane
Unsubbed if voidscarred dont receive a decent tier and wraithlord arent S tier
Unsubbed :(
I mean the Voidscarred are pretty bad for the points honestly
@ 😑
My crazy theory is we’ll get a new Corsair detachment late in edition when they do all their story supplement books with some big character releases. My hope is Prince Yriel will get his new model and come with a couple more Corsair kits to actually support a Corsair or exiles detachment.
@@GeekySkippy I hope so too!
5 dragons w feugan in a falcon seems better to trade up. 10 banshees w jain zar in wave serpent feels ok. 10 dire avengers w asurman in wave serpent and vyper feels pretty great.
Agreed! No need for 10 dragons 🐉
Shaking and crying after the fire prism ranking
Take a hot shower 🚿 I hear it helps with the pain ❤️🩹
