Oh god, here we go again. Please Georgina, try to react to the real performance. Obviously when contestants do win they go emotional and they don't focus as much on their singing. That said, I'm happy to wait for Eurovision while following your videos as I do every year.

This was the wrong performance to react to. This was the encore performance after Laura just learned she won, so she is a little excited and exhausted. It would be a more credible reaction if you actually reacted to her first performance which was more competitive and polished.
2:40 this song is about a doll (“poupée”) and the black and white was from like 60 years ago when Luxembourg won with another song about a doll

I like this song. It is unfortunate that the official ESC channel gave you the winner's reprise (when they're in shock. having just won) rather than their main performance.

Hi Giorgina, I think you should indeed watch the competition performance, because this way it's not fair. Does it need some improvement (the competition performance too). Yes. But the reaction to this one isn't really fair because she performed for the second time and for fun.

This song is a reply to a past luxembourg entry, the black and white film.
Unfortunately you reacted to her weakest performance after winning... before performing for the 2nd time at the end of the show, she mentioned, that after all the emotions, she wasn't ready to sing for a 2nd time, but needed to, so, you notice, that she was breathless from the beginning... even RTL did a mistake at the beginning, not really doing a perfect switch from B/W into colour sequence... As you mentioned correctly, another RTL mistake was that they did not switch off the microphone of the presenters, as one can still hear them talking in the background! She will turn 26 this year, and started to work as a music teacher last fall...

I understand what you are talking about his shorting of breath, but yes, this was here winning performance and she was probably still on the excitment mood.

The song refers, as many other already wrote, to the 1965 Luxembourg winning song "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" sang by french artist France Gall, written by Serge Gainsbourg.
At those time, the song was criticized because it depicted women as manipulable dolls.
The 2025 version, denouncing this and impose the more actual feminist point of view.
So for french speaking audience, the whole song makes sens 60 years later.

This is her winning performance; a competition version has also been uploaded to the official ESC channel. However, during her initial performance, she sang the wrong lyrics (it becomes obvious when you play them side by side), and her vocals were still not great. She was a tiny bit better than this one, but not much better.
I think that it was the wrong performance to react to. Though, the real national final on the Eurovision channel also featured some of the things she noticed. The vocals can only improve, but they were also quite weak (though better) than the real performance.
You reacted to the wrong performance. She just won and shes obviously feeling lots of emotions. Don't repeat this mistake please
The voices are not part of the performance or an audio issue, the hosts are closing the show, it's the winning performance which is also why her vocals aren't good
I like the song but as you've pointed out the vocal isn't strong enough for whatever reason. It's a very basic routine and I'm guessing she is reflecting on the title which translated I think means "The doll turns up the song" (please correct me if you speak French) Was my favourite, not any more. As always it boils down to performance and vocal ability on the night for me.
To be honest I think I'd be sick of singing the same song over and over to rehearse.
Please make sure your not doing this on “Winning performances” the normal performance is out there

What is matter of a winning performance or not I don’t get it. Professionals singing hours and hours on stage still not out of tone or loosing their vocals.. excitement I can understand but I think the song is not a winner song at all..
The initial performance still has breath control issues, but I do think it was vocally stronger than this one. In any case, I agree--catchy but needs to work on the vocal

the vocals were fine, for the second time she performed and while dancing. You're just pretending to be difficult, I don't think you have knowledge to critique singing
