The fact that the game turned out to be a piece of junk is especially painful here, in Poland, because a lof of people were actually excited for this game. It is because there isn't many video games which tell the story of WW2 from the Polish perspective, apart from "Warsaw" or "Enemy Front", so the idea of having a COD inspired title concerning the events of the German invasion has really made people hyped. Moreover, the devs have actually managed to hire the actor who was the voice of Geralt in the "Witcher" games to play the main character and that was his first major voice acting role after recovering from the stroke attack in 2019, so that fact enough had generated a massive hype around this game. Now the devs are promising the constant updates to fix the biggest problems, but this will probably take longer than it's taking CDPR to fix "Cyberpunk 2077".

Dude I feel bad for you guys, that was indeed a awesome concept, I would love a WW2 game from the Polish perspective, same with the Chinese perspective, it never got explored and it was a pretty interesting one, also, some of the regular soldiers became partisans after the fall, and would be nice if you can play both as regular military and as partisan.
Even if you like the format of an incredibly scripted, restrictive interactive movie, this game is absolute trash. It's not a throwback, it's a beta that was never finished. It literally does not function as a video game.
Ok at least the on a rail sequence in Call of Duty Big Red One is still fun because it has you actively moving around in a bomber that's slowly getting blown apart but still is able to fly, plus there's the added bonus of the level counting how many enemies you destroy including an Ace pilot.
@@samz8691 Same thing can be said about Battlefield 2 Modern Combat for console yeah, although I replayed Big Red One recently through emulation, I don't think it would be worth spending even 20 bucks into an HD remaster nowadays, especially without any multiplayer. Cod United offensive has a similar mission. You fly In a B-17 over Holland with a British crew. The writing Is really good and the gameplay Is similar to big red one.
I just can't understand why an indie studio would try to make a "Ramirez do Everything" game in 2021, not even Battlefield does this anymore. It just shows an immense lack of self awareness and creative vision
Personally I believe there's room for all kinds of shooters, things like this included, but when it's this bad and accentuates all the worst things about those shooters back in the 360 era then it just reminds everyone why these games died. Personally I only have scorn for these games simply because developers and publishers killed off literally every other type of shooter purely to copy Call of Duty even though Call of Duty already exists which is already a paradox in itself. If the boomer shooters, Half-Life inspired games, realistic tactical shooters and what-not were still alive and healthy back then as they were in the 90s and as they are today, then I wouldn't really care if I'm being honest. But fuck me this is bad.
Mortyr, Shity Interactive, Enemy Front, and now this. I have only 1 word for it... KURWAAAAAA! Thanks for being true and not biased Jarek, most of the reviews I saw were saying that it's not that bad, no it is.

To be fair, the last sniper gjost warrior contracts 2 was quite decent. A little janky, but serviceable. Except maybe the title, that just feels like drawn from a hat with random words.
One thing I remember from the reviews is that each mission is supposed to be based on actual events, however the very critical problem with these missions is that even then they're insultingly inaccurate. One of them was about walking around the Royal Castle in Warsaw. According to the game, this mission is supposed to take place 2 days after the fire of the castle's clock tower that was attacked by German altilery. If you checked on that tower in game, you'd notice that it's completely fine and dandy. This fucking game, man... I had so much high hopes for it...
That "I'll slaughter the lot of you" was delivered with the amount of emotion you'd get from a prank. It's like his squadmate blew up and he's like "oh, you cheeky lads."
You'd think with Rockstar pushing more open world games with lots of freedom, they'd find ways to make their missions more open where the player can figure out their own ways to deal with objectives. But then again they also made Max Payne 3 which is one of the most restrictive games ever created.
i can't believe they keep doing that , even in their newer games . i guess having checklist of looking "realistic" that not really that important after all . mean they spend less time in terms of mission design . or people just give them free pass because they are Rockstar .

This game is the result of when an indie game studio as an entirety develops a serious cocaine addiction. Developer pitch meeting: “Let’s make a realistic early World War II shooter from the perspective of those fighting off the Blitzkreig” Also those developers: “Quasi realistic FPS World War II game? We’ll include all of these little known weapons that were primarily utilized early in the war as large scale conflict generally increases the development and fielding rate of improved technological capabilities compared to that of a peace time country and in the early days your average grunts kit consisted of World War I bolt action rifles, Maxim and Vickers water cooled machine guns and various pistol caliber carbines and sub machine guns” Also those developers: “People don’t lie prone in maneuver warfare when under small arms fire or indirect fire do they? Nah”
The effort is there though, for such low budget if they polished this polish game a bit more they'd have an actually good shooter, also I don't mind a bit of clumsy animations, they can always speed it up

You know you could check out 7554 ,I think is right on your alley .
I very much appreciate you guys that play terrible games so we don't have to.
As for games set in Poland, I played Enemy Front about a month ago; it was bland and uninspired but I rather enjoyed it. The scenery was nice.
That fear ost in the background though.
you should try that other Medal of Honor clone Call of Duty. I heard it's a pretty blatant knockoff...
Man, I miss the 4 part of your name. It made me think you were running for the Gaming Dragon office or something.
This game is the result of when an indie game studio as an entirety develops a serious cocaine addiction.
Developer pitch meeting: “Let’s make a realistic early World War II shooter from the perspective of those fighting off the Blitzkreig”
Also those developers: “Quasi realistic FPS World War II game? We’ll include all of these little known weapons that were primarily utilized early in the war as large scale conflict generally increases the development and fielding rate of improved technological capabilities compared to that of a peace time country and in the early days your average grunts kit consisted of World War I bolt action rifles, Maxim and Vickers water cooled machine guns and various pistol caliber carbines and sub machine guns”
Also those developers: “People don’t lie prone in maneuver warfare when under small arms fire or indirect fire do they? Nah”
The effort is there though, for such low budget if they polished this polish game a bit more they'd have an actually good shooter, also I don't mind a bit of clumsy animations, they can always speed it up
at least they didn't replace sawastika with thing like balkenkreuz or weimar flag
This game needs to be polished~
I can’t even beat the third mission. It’s almost impossible with how the AI shoots you before you can even get a chance to fight them.
any plan to check . Commandos strike force ? i wonder if this childhood game still hold up today
Lol that healing animation is ripped straight out of Cod WW2
Can I take a quick guess by assuming this is an Unreal Engine game?
The blur that more resembles experiencing a bukkake gave it away for me.
Actually a pretty good/cool sponsor
Actually, there's another game set during the German invasion of Poland, it's Enemy Front
Enemy Front wasn't that bad too.
Enemy Front was god awful and so boring.
@@Jarekthegamingdragon had its moments, the snow level was actually fun
@@Jarekthegamingdragon yeah, it was a bit boring but I liked looking for gold in it. Also, the protag looked like Raven's Wolfenstein 09 B.J. Blasko so I pretended it was a crappier Wolfenstein game.
