holy shit when you get big air and the music fades out, you hear the points ticking higher, milk the tricks cutting it super close, barely land it and the music blasts back to full volume right as the chorus hits "WRITE IT ON THE WALLS AND READ IT" the goosebumps!!!!

I think it has more to do with how everything sucks today. Not just the lack of arcade joy in today's videogames, but the music is largely trash and technology seems to be worsening the purity of our experiences rather than improving them.
Yeah, I hate how all games now strive to have "lifelike physics and simulated handling", some of the best games were the complete opposite of this; NFS underground 2, most wanted, SSX, burnout, etc

I play games to ignore real life and get a break, that's why I play games like SSX (Tricky specifically), Rayman Legends, Monster Hunter, Mario Kart, Sunset Overdrive, and many more. All those realistic games get mostly ignored by me, I prefer off the walls, insane fun over hyper realism
SSX 3 was one of the ultimate video games of my childhood, and it's still one of my all-time favorites.

Corey SAME. If I had to choose my favorite out of the entire SSX series, it'd absolutely be this one, by a milestone. I'm still iffy about SSX on tour, but I also haven't played it all too much. I just always find myself coming back to SSX 3; absolutely one of my favorite video games.

Every year or so I go back to playing it with a diff character. There's no better feeling than hearing those tracks fade in and out as your ripping apart the mountain.
When SSX 3 did what it did back in the day, where you were dropped off at the top of the mountain and rode all the way down, won't ever be able to be recaptured again, because now we expect that to be possible. Also, we won't have that sound again.
SSX 3 is a icy gem buried beneath the snows of time.

Once you try out SSX 3 in HD on Dolphin/XBox One it's hard to go back.
Only downside with the Xbox One enhanched port is the removal of loading screens. No more catchy load screen tunes! Lol. :P

I play this game on Xbox Series with Retro-compatibility is insane and still a good game at actual days, for me the best Xbox era is the Xbox Classic and Xbox 360 generations, good days playing good games too

I do it is so funny that every time this song came on I was beasting the heck out of freestyle and I got all platinum medals with this song
William Munson the SSX 3 version is the first version I heard, so it sounded really weird hearing the non-pitch-shifted version. I don't think it matters that much
yeah. In fact, I remember when I played this and listened to all the samples of the songs they had listed, apparently, they previewed the original version of this song on the list. Funny how they play a more masculine version of nightcore whenever you're playing the game, and then they play the original version whenever you listen to the sample. Not only did they pitch shift this one, but they lowered the pitch for Stare at the Sun by Thrice too. Funny how I kind of prefer the higher pitched versions of songs.

I miss playing SSX 3 and my old PS2 so much. Soon I'll buy a new PS2 with a 2nd controller and a memory card so I can play SSX 3, Tony Hawk American Wasteland, Need For Speed Underground 2, Def Jam Fight For NY, and NBA Street Vol 2.

If you have a good pc , you can try an emulator
(I can run it with 4 times the definition of ps2 at 60 fps)
or you can just pay less then 3 pounds for the game (england)

This and Yellowcard. SSX 3 is my joint favourite game with Metroid Prime and LoZ Twilight Princess. I don't know how they did it, but they created a masterpiece.

SSX3 was and is the best snowboarding game ever made. NOTHING even comes close. The soundtrack just added to that. Unless you're on a board flying through fresh powder, you'll never get closer to the sport.
Going down the mountain with Allegra is always the top of my list of things to do.

First console I got as an 8 year old kid in 2005 was the original Xbox. These were the gems: SSX3, Forza Motorsport 1, Rallisport Challenge 2, Star Wars Battlefront, Medal of Honor Rising Sun, Star Wars Republic commando.
I miss playing ssx3 used to be my game, played this from when I was little and absolutely loved that you could go roam off tracks and the massive peak to base races.
