    Many people below have said, "We never believe anything a demon says. They can only lie."
    Sometimes the demons speak the truth, such as in Acts 16 where the woman possessed with a spirit of divination said of Paul and his companions, "These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation." Was that not the truth? Yet after many days Paul, having become "grieved" as Scripture says, rebuked the demon. This was not for what the demon was saying through the woman, but because of the way it was being done and the effects it was having on the people.
    So we see clearly in Scripture that sometimes the demons are constrained to speak the truth about Christ and His saints, about the way of salvation, but with evil intentions.

      The letters by Paul are not scripture. They are letters to congregations he started. It is heresy to believe that one man, Paul, could cancel any of HaShem's commands. Paul never quotes Yeshua. I find that a real issue! As an orthodox Jew who follows the Living Torah, Yeshua, I can not accept anything Paul says as he contradicts the very commands of God. So no, I will not trust anything a demon says on the basis of what Paul says in one of his supposed letters. We will have to agree to disagree. Any teacher who denies God's Torah commands is teaching a false message and Satan is testing people to see if they will follow heresy. Shalom aleichem.

      What if it was a call from the possessed women for help? The poor woman was exploited and maybe that's how she found a way out. She was delivered. Look at who retaliated? It wasn't the demons, it was the people who exploited her and the demons within her? Some humans are more wicked than demons. I see that story as a clear example of it.

      Christ THROUGH Paul taught that ANYONE ( in the current POST-STONING of Steven 'age') - regardless of their past/future sin - IS saved the moment they place their complete trust/faith in Christs death/burial/resurrection to forgive/save them.

      @@robusc4940 it was a personal opinion, not a belief or fact. Of course, Jesus saves from all sin. Howver, Jesus also said, there is ONE sin that cannot be forgiven and that's blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. When a person crosses that line that the devil crossed, they become CURSED FOR ETERNITY with him. Here is another personal opinion, maybe some demons hope that they might be given another chance so they try to do the right thing. However, this doesn't mean we can sympathize with or believe them. God is clear about that. We should not befriend them. It's a no no. On the other hand, there is no sin that is bigger than God's grace and no power more powerful than his Spirit. I have asked God so many "hard" questions and expressed my insane opinions to him. He was NEVER mad with me and in fact he was always pleased that I'm honest with him even when my honesty can be the most foolish thing. I approach him as a child. I want to know and get rid of what bothers me. Many "christians" would not dare to do that and will rather twist and bend what we say to make us feel guilty. I don't feel guilty and the Lord NEVER got angry or offended by those. On the other hand, I was rebuked by the Holy Spirit a few times. Here is an example of them. I used to use the expression, "go to hell" often. He told me to stop because I have no idea how hell is or input in who will go there.

    Lord, Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I offer my pain and suffering today to the poor soul that is most in need.
    Your own pain and suffering is a gift from God. Use it to offer up to the Lord and join Jesus in embracing your cross. I suffer from one condition that is fatal in 2 to 3 years. I also suffer several spine problems and have undergone numerous surgeries. I am in my mid fifties. There are plenty days where the pain would be unbearable if not for Jesus carrying me. Please, pray not for me, but for those that lack the grace to hear Gods calling. And, please realize what a gift your pain and suffering is and share it. God bless you guys.

Even I don't struggle with health problems, but before I knew the Lord I suffered through much emotional pain and circumstances without a relationship with God. It was unbearable. Our merciful Lord has carried me through so much since then.

    A follow up comment! I have made 9 days ago my Holy Name of Jesus chaplet to pray on with waxed 1mm cotton & with a small cross.
    We have many chaplets in Catholic Faith as you might know, so it comes easy to pray this universal early church prayer.
    The wonderful diversity of this 33 knot Jesus chaplet, is that one can alter the short prayer." Lord Jesus Christ Son of The Living God have mercy on me a sinner."
    Or "My Jesus Mercy" which I favour, as I engraved these 3 words once into a tree! Or " Most Sacred Heart (Divine Heart) of Jesus have mercy "
    One could make a same chant to Mother Mary. As the devil hates Our Blessed Mothers Intercession as you know!
    Thankyou for the inspirational story of wonderful history. May the saints prayer for us, urge us onwards
    So I will likely make these also from now on, too for other's to pray the Jesus prayer. Its relaxing tieing a knot, easily learnt on youtube. One could make them any place with much blessings.

      @OrthodoxWisdom Hi. As I have 2 sisters whom are practising witches, very powerful and under their attacks. It gifts me ( unfortunately) to know Catholic male and female witches in my parish and other parishes, the true church is definitely under attack and I too. I haven't been going to Mass these last 3 months due to this. It might be wise for me to look in Brisbane Queensland Australia for the holiest orthodox church.
      Also, I'm wondering about the line of Apostles in the Orthodox churches? As my twin sister and I were baptised as babies in the medium level Anglican Church by a Dean. An Orthodox priest told me few months ago from the phone in Sydney, that if my Baptism is not of the Apostolic line, iam not Baptised than! That was news to me, as I became Catholic in my mid 20's, 30 yrs ago and my Baptism is accepted.
      My question is to prove as the two churches broke away, the Apostle lines within the Orthodox churches?
      Thankyou for responding as it bought this heavy cross out in my life to speak of it.

      This is a tricky subject, but I've gleaned a few things from Orthodox literature (sorry, can't remember well enough for citations).
      When they rebelled, it was something much clearer and different than when we sin. Our eyes are closed by being primarily focused on the physical world.
      The demons are too proud and their "nature" as demons makes them only desire evil.
      Also, St. Isaac the Syrian mentions that when one reaches saintly love, he even pities the demons. If a human, who is attaining Godliness, actually even loves the demons, then how could God not also love them? The fathers, especially St. Isaac, say that hell is the rejection of God's love and the incapability to accept it as such.
      My own reflection, take it or leave it, is that if they really wanted to spite God or "prove their case", they'd leave humanity alone: "See, we're not doing anything now, but He still condemns us." Instead, they choose to keep going down the path of evil. I've yet to hear in any encounter of a demon saying "well, we have no choice but do do evil now."

    This is what the Lord Almighty says:
    “Cut down the trees
    and build siege ramps against Jerusalem.
    This city must be punished;
    it is filled with oppression.
    7 As a well pours out its water,
    so she pours out her wickedness.
    Violence and destruction resound in her;
    her sickness and wounds are ever before me.
    8 Take warning, Jerusalem,
    or I will turn away from you
    and make your land desolate
    so no one can live in it.”
    9 This is what the Lord Almighty says:
    “Let them glean the remnant of Israel
    as thoroughly as a vine;
    pass your hand over the branches again,
    like one gathering grapes.”
    10 To whom can I speak and give warning?
    Who will listen to me?
    Their ears are closed[a]
    so they cannot hear.
    The word of the Lord is offensive to them;

    I was very far away from God by my own pride. I was hateful towards Christianity and I called it weak/a slave religion. A friend introduced me to Orthodoxy and I began to realize, my way of life is evil and wrong. A dread seized my body and I felt terrible. I'd cry randomly, or right before work almost every day. I was seeking oblivion with alcohol and distractions. Finally a little voice started saying so sweetly "It'd be okay to kill yourself." "It'll be so quick and then it's over." "Your family will be fine." "Your wife can find someone new." but something hit me. That was not how my internal voice sounds. I became increasingly depressed, people on the streets turned on me, my bosses turned on me, I felt alone. I almost got there. Then finally, I started walking around at night "on the rocks" like this man did saying the Jesus Prayer over and over ashamed, feeling unworthy of Christs love ever again. "Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner." the voice came back to my mind. "Stop this! You're embarrassing yourself. You don't need anyone's help!" "Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God, have mercy upon me a sinner." "You don't nee-----". Silence. All of the dread/anxiety/pain/depression/suicidal thoughts were blown away from me. I had a great sense of peace for the first time in so long. When I got home from work I grabbed my (now Orthodox wife) and told her "We have to go to Matins" she was obviously surprised and not happy for a 5am church visit but inside I felt good. I'm fully baptised for a few years now, so is my wife and my friend who also came with me out of the same dark/hateful material worship and self aggrandizement. Thank you God for all things. Thank you Holy St. Michael my patron and my hero. That you my Holy Guardian Angel. Christ is King, Satan is defeated. All demons flee from his name and presence. Christ is king, his prayer is a sword that cuts all evil away.

    I don't want you to be afraid of anything. You are already afraid of death as it is. Do not be afraid of what comes after. Be a better person because you will live a better life. It is not fair to use the threat of afterlife harm because that is a way of controlling people through fear. There definitely could be a hell tho, but if I were God I would pardon every soul upon death. Sin is in the body, it is our flesh that gives us all the deadly sins, lust, anger, jealousy, envy, gluttony, sloth, and worst of all pride. The body pays the ultimate price for sins. The death penalty. The soul does not return with human emotions or behavior. Souls are not to be punished. Your soul is safe with me. But you are definitely going to die.

    • @zigababnik8780

      Body and soul are connected. If we completely dive into our passions, they become part of our soul. When the soul leaves the body it loose its object through which it can satisfies these passions and thus suffers, is not able to receive the God's love. He wants us to make a free choice in this life to partake and cooperate with Him in liberating our souls through our bodies. That theory you're mentioning is a common temptation to create our own God, from our disabled perception of how should love and mercy be like and is in its essence just a seek for permission to sin.

    Yohusha said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
    YO'UCHENUN (JOHN) 14:6
    Breaking down the wall of lies.
    The name "Jesus" is a counterfeit and "The Lord" is Ba'al.
    We know that The Meshiychuk (Messiah) had the same name as so called "Joshua";
    EXODUS 17:10
    First in Hebrew;
    ויעש יהושע כאשר
    אמר־לו משה להלחם
    בעמלק ומשה אהרן
    וחור עלו ראש
    הגבעה׃
    Hebrew reads from right to left.
    Second word is Yohusha, (יהושע).
    (Yo)d (h)e (u)au (sh)in (a)yin, Yo h u sh a.
    EXODUS 17:10 in English:
    So יהושע Yohusha (Joshua) did as Meshih (Moses) had said to him, and fought with Amelaq: and Meshih, Ahren, and Chur went up to the top of the hill.
    Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Yoshir'al, that by the name of יהושע Yohusha The Meshiychuk (Messiah) of Natsareth, whom ye crucified, whom Alahym אלהים (Alef lamed he yod mem, A la h y m) raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
    Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
    ACTS 4:10-12
    And it shall be at that day, says Yohuah, that you shall call me Yishiy (Husband); and shall call me no more Ba`aliy (Lord). For I will take away the names of Ba`aliym out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
    HUSHA (HOSEA) 2:16-17
    How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Ba`al (Lord).
    The prophet that has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that has my Word, let him speak my Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Yohuah.
    YIRMEYOHU (JEREMIAH) 23:26-28
    The Meshiychuk's (Messiah's) name is Yohusha;
    (Yo)d (h)e (u)au (sh)in (a)yin.
    Facts are facts and acts are acts;
    Fact - יה=Yoh The True Alahym.
    Act/Masquerade - יעה=Yah the moon alahym.
    The Ayin does not belong in The True name יהוה/𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄/Yohuah (The Father), (Yo)d (h)e (ua)u (h)e.
    Why put "a" where it shouldn't be?
    Placing letters where they don't belong is what the Jews did and still do.
    There is no Ayin after the Yod without Massoretic vowel points or planting it there!
    I Yohuah have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the other nations;
    To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
    I am Yohuah: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
    YOSHA'YOHU 42:6-8
    Yohusha said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour comes, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Yorushilym, worship the Father.
    Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for yoshua (salvation) is of the Yohudym. But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Ruach (Spirit) and in Truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
    Alahym is that Ruach: and they that worship him must worship him in Ruach and in Truth.
    YO'UCHENUN (JOHN) 4:21-24
    So will I make my qudash (set apart) name known in the midst of my people Yoshir'al; and I will not let them pollute my qudash name anymore: and the heathen shall know that I am Yohuah, the Qudash One in Yoshir'al. Behold, it is come, and it is done, says Adaniy Yohuah; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
    YITZAQ'AL (EZEKI'AL) 39:7-8
    Now will I point out a mystery: Many sinners shall turn and transgress against the Word of uprightness. They shall speak evil things; they shall utter falsehood; and create a great creation; and compose scrolls/books in their own words.
    But when they shall write all my Words correctly in their own languages, They shall neither change or diminish them; but shall write them all correctly; all which from the first I have uttered concerning them.
    CHENUAK (ENOCH) 104:7-9
    I Yohuah have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the other nations; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

      When I listen to my old recordings I wish I had more vocal landscape as I often sound flat. I also had a number of people encourage me to put more emphasis into my voice, and I agree with them. Most recordings, like today's new one, don't have an intended change in tones between different characters, but I still try and avoid a monotone reading.

      No. I don’t agree. You should stay neutral. That’s western idea . As you know how we chant and read in the church. It can’t be theatrical.
      Keep it simple brother.
      Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us.

      @@VITAMINOZA1976 not sure if this is western Idea.. cuz when you tell stories you dont sound flat. No story teller is flat. Even if you read a book, in your head is not flat sound all the time. When you hear some tribes telling stories is never flat.. I guess also apostles or Jesus were not really flat when they talked.. and this is a story.. not a chant and liturgy :) just my humble thinking...

    John 5:43
    I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
    If our Messiah comes in the Father’s name. Then why are their names different? 🤔 It's impossible for Jesus to come in God's mame. Because God is a title, not a name. Our HEAVENLY FATHER has a Name, and it's YAHUAH! The name above all names! And our MESSIAH'S name is YAHUSHA HA’MASHIAC. YAHUSHA means YAHUAH is our SALVATION. I ask and pray that you come out of religion and the church. Scripture says study to show you are self approved unto YAHUAH. Don't take my word for it research on your own. Scripture also states that my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Remember, the TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE
    In the Bible, Baal is the name given to several different deities who are designated as false gods or idols. However, it is most often used to describe the specific Canaanite-Phoenician god of fertility and rain. Additionally, Baal is associated with Beezlebub, demons, and the devil.
    Strong's Concordance
    baal: owner, lord
    Original Word: בַּעַל
    Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
    Transliteration: baal
    Phonetic Spelling: (bah'-al) BAAL
    Definition: owner, lord

      Not in a supreme way, Father as God, but in a simple human way, father - someone that leads you (with God's, the only Father, help).

      @annaleedaughterofyhwh7767 I used to think the same way when I was a protestant.. I'm no longer a protestant, I'm on a journey to seek God's truth by the power of the Holy Spirit... looking into the first centuries of church history will definitely open your understanding if you're honest and sincere about seeking truth!
      And also you're taking those verses of Jesus out of context because by your logic, that would mean that you cannot even call the man that your mother married to help conceive you.. father😅
