    Before the outbreak.
This is part 3 of our series in Turkey.
    #travelvlog #Turkey #istanbul
We flew to Izmir to see Ephesus and Pamukkale. This vlog covers our day in Pamukkale / Hierapolis.
After arriving into Denizli the night before, we walked around the city and had dinner. The next day I got up super early for a drive to Pamukkale while wifey slept in. I had a balloon flight to catch.
I got up extra early to drive around the city since there would be little traffic. It was so cool to drive around, getting lost in the city. Then I drove into Pamukkale. Seeing the sun rise here was amazing while driving the winding roads past the cotton castle.
Got some good drone footage with my DJI Spark. No problem at all getting the drone into the country nor with the hot air balloon operators.
After my balloon ride I picked up wifey from the hotel. Then went to this little family run restaurant, Mahal, for some delicious Turkish breakfast. I discovered this place on Instagram. We loved the restaurant and the people here.
The 2 sons were really good people. They even introduced us to the owner, their mom.
We drove back to Pamukkale to hike Hierapolis, the ancient Greek city. This is the city where the apostle Phillip was beheaded. The theater is my favorite of all Turkey. It was built by the Emperor Hadrian. The same emperor that built The Pantheon and The Castello Sant' Angelo in Rome.
We then drove to Denizli's airport to catch a flight back to Istanbul where we'd spend 3 days.
