I was born here back in 93. Never been back since I was a kid. Thanks for giving me the chance to explore the town I was born in. Saludos to all the raza in Hollis. Shaowww

my mom used to live in hollister. I called it hellister LOL. I visited and stayed there 1996 and 1997. Lived at Moms house and later on had a small place upstairs over Whiskey Creek Saloon. Not much to do there back then. Enjoyed riding my chopper in the areas around though. Top Hatters MC were cool too. I worked at Power Equipment Company as small engine repair tech . Lawn mowers, other stuff used for landscaping.

What a great moment to share with your daughter. Also remember that I had bad teachers over the years. I have had 2 teachers over my years as a kid that actually reached me. Made a lasting impression on me. One of them, Mr Sims at Yerba Buena HS. Had a classmate that was missing class and not doing his best. Mr. Sims challenged him to a basketball 1 on 1 in class . Gave the kid 10 points. Our class went to the gym a few days later for this teaching. Mr. Sims shut him down and then gained the kids respect for the rest of the year. He was coming to class after that. Mr. Sims, one of my real teachers. Then i find out my kids middle school Principal was in the class with me at the same time. WOW. Mr. Palmer from Sylvandale. Mr Palmer got through to me and has left a long standing impression on me as a teacher. But with that Only 2 teachers taught me something and made a lasting impression? Dont remember the rest of my teachers. That is sad as an adult now and sad for our kids education.
