It could be assumed that it may have been an exaggeration, and it very well may have been, and his Green Dragon Crescent Blade was also said to be 82 catties (108 pounds, which absolutely seems to be an exaggeration), although Chinese historians, using historic catty scales, seem to have corrected it to approximately 10.8 catties, or just under 40 pounds, which is a lot more realistic, but would still take an unbelievable amount of strength to wield continuously in battle. Not really, unlike the Uyghurs, generally speaking Mongolians and Chinese have quite harmonious relationship in China, some Chinese do not like this guy playing Guanyu is not because of his ethnic background but rather because of his physical appearance not fitting the character well, so far the only Guanyu actor the chinese people have given a pass is the 1994 rotk drama version.
Guan Yu should join Cao Cao. They might unify China sooner without all the unnecessary deaths. His refusal work because like someone said that Cao Cao admire talents. When Guan Yu got captured by Wu, his refusal got him decapitated. This lead to a chain of events, such as Zhang Fei start drinking again, beat his men and his men turn on him by straggling him to death. The hell bent Liu Bei send his large army, but his hastily action allow Lu Xun to counter attack him with fire attack, burning Shu troops to kingdonkom. Liu bei later die of a broken man. His son, the baby he toss toward a tree inherit his kingdom. He rule without shredding a single blood, while Zhuge Liang keep sending young men to their deaths. Sima yi the real sleeping dragon send a chicken back home in a coffin. If yall read up the list of fictional events in the novel, you'll slowly understand that all the memorable feats perform by Zhuge Liang was all a lie, from the three visits to the empty fort. Remember the part where ZL banned all historians after Liu Bei death? That's where blackmail take it root for the exclusive author who wrote the novel.

yeah i am sure the small asians would say that as the men from the west swat u down ez
Testing and training guandaos of excess 100 lbs existed, but anything in excess of 15 lbs would have been utterly worthless in real combat. Anything over 8 pounds would have been less than ideal.
Most historical accounts are at least 20% fanfiction. I have a feeling ROTTK is like 50%. Just a guess
@@ThexSleepingDragon Height was universally smaller for everyone back then and grew proportionally as people had better diet and food supply. Literally everyone was tiny from the middle age and back. If you ever saw a real suit of knight armor, they only range around 5ft 3.
Those Wei troops should have run when they saw that bearded warrior with a red face charge at them: when a single warrior runs at your whole unit, he is either a madman or a legendary hero with War 99
I Just love this movie!!
Guan Yu, a literal god.
The best version of guan yu
Guan Yu.. the keeper of the gate to the Heavens~
Thats The Man with magneficense beard
It's like what Friday told Iron Man; YOU CAN'T BEAT HIM HAND TO HAND.

Someone needs to re-edit the Thor arriving on Earth in Infinity War to show Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun arriving.

Blue Dragon strikes
Actor is ba sen who is Genghis khan descendent and plays Genghis khan in 2004 series. Born in xinjiang
St. O'war a.k.a god of war, Guan Yu is perfect example of good attitude, battle plan, bravery, and skils and also power.

Guan Yu is not only invisible, but is the represent of Royalty
Loyalty my friend. And we hail him as a heavenly royal figure in today's society, especially for us Chinese and Asian related ethnicity, he is known as the deity "Holy Emperor of War" who represents Loyalty and Righteousness.
A General with power of 10.000 Mans...
China was so civilized, so advanced beyond its western peers. This was in the 300 AD
The actor is a direct descendant of Genghis Khan. Boy does it show. 😀
Guan Yu looks like the Chinese Foreign Minister. Eyebrows and attitude
That move from around 0:23 looks like from one of his move in Dynasty Warriors 6
@dennnis2781 i know right? it would have been great but those generals weren't even in the battle of red cliff. Wei Yan was in Han Xuan's forces. Ma Chao was still in his Father's army. But I don't know about Guan Ping, maybe he was too young or he was back at Jiang Xia or whatever city Liu Bei had occupied at the time.
he is a mongolian actor
My only gripe was that this version of Guan Yu was way too short. Although I do realize that it would be quite difficult to find a tall enough actor for the job. And, the only reason I LOATHE Wu is because they killed him. I rarely even play as Wu in DW games because of that.
Fun fact the actor who plays Guan Yu is a descendant of Genghis Khan.
That's actually not that impressive, Genghis Khan was extremely virial and had hundred of concubines with many of his kids getting the same bang right. It's estimated 1 in every 200 men in the world are direct descendants.
@@sws212Genghis Khan with his Genghis Cock😂
Those spearman sucks but also this guan you the reality allways surpasses the fiction, the guy guan was d man en his days with no one dare to challenge him
Lu Bu reportedly fought Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Liu Bei, the Three Brothers to a standstill. According to a story you understand by a people who hated Lu Bu but revered Guan Yu. Lu Bu was a monster. If Guan Yu was the God of War then Lu Bu was the Great Dark Beast. I revere Guan Yu. But I know... That in this case the Dark Side wins. Lu Bu was essentially the Darth Vader of his time.
i sthis the extended version?
How many days did those spearmen starve lol and what kind of steroid was guan yu on?
American drugs.
0955interactive GUAN YU HAS MEXICAN BLOOD
Guan Yu has no need for steroids. He's like Samson, his beard gives him all the strength he needs.
All his strength come from that mighty beard =)))
yes. like chuck norris.
name of film ?
Guan Yu is the best bro, he is so bro that people worship him as god of brotherhood
chinese most admired and worshipped warrior. played by man with mongolian blood. heard chinese audience hated the fact that he will portray guan yu

Genghis Khan is Guan Yu now~ 👏👏👏
