But here is one of my issues with Christianity. Someone can live a life helping others, doing much more good than bad in their life, and yet because they don't believe in their god because of the lack of evidence, then they are damned.
Yet someone can rape children and be a serial killer, yet ask forgiveness by their god and all is good.
So in a Christian world, there really is no actual justice for your crimes just because you have the right belief.
The problem is that they're departing from what Jesus, according to scriptures both in and outside of the Bible, tried to preach (There's relative certainty that Jesus did walk the Earth, so I accept him as having lived as a good human with stories of exaggeration and made-up stories to make him look divine) which was the good life. He wanted us to live as good people, not talk as good people or pray all day, following the doctrines of a religious authority.
Christianity should be about love for your next of kin, compassion and devotion to become a good person, instead of the indoctrinating system from when Christianity was introduced as the main religion in Rome.
And as always, Jesus did NOT create Christianity, he lived as a Jew, he preached as a Jew and he died as a Jew.
If the human being that was Jesus Christ could really rise from the grave and see how his legacy has corrupted humanity (and especially large parts of America) he'd weep and shoot himself.

My question on Christianity is this: why did Jesus have to die for us to be able to go to heaven? I understand that the bible says that sin separates us from God and all that, but if he's all loving and all powerful like what's claimed, why do we even NEED Jesus to die on the cross? If he's all loving, then he would love, forgive us no matter what and, ya know, NOT have us burn in hell for all eternity. He should be able to have that happen because he's supposedly all powerful. According to Christian theology, he has more love and power than we can even comprehend, so wouldn't he want to and have the ability to keep us out of hell, no matter what?

1. Wouldn't the Devil like you if you had sinned? You would be like him, why would he eternally torture you?

3. If God really did love humans, and considered them all to be his children, he wouldn't let them kill eachother, he wouldn't allow rape, murder or torture. Because it would be like if two of your children were fighting, as a loving parent, you would break them apart, scold them, then make them make friends whether they liked it or not...

I love when some Christians try to argue how Christianity is somehow different and unique from other religions (the most common argument is that in Christianity, unlike all other religions, you are not saved by your works, but by simply accepting Jesus), as if that were somehow a convincing argument that Christianity is the only true religion.
It's basically a product sales speech: Our product is different and better than all the competing products! Our product can do this and this, that no competing product can! And our product is also cheaper than all those other products!
So god created Adam and Eve as innocent beings with no knowledge about or concept of "good and evil". Then he offers them a fruit that gives them the knowledge about good and evel *after* they ate it and made eating it a crime *before* they ate it and learned about wrong and right. Makes perfect sense to me.
I also have one question about Jesus. So, supposedly Jesus is kind of an incarnation of god. So technically god commited suicide, but isn´t this against his own rules?
I said the same thing on another vid earlier. You know the difference between good and evil but yet don't know the difference between good and evil because they have not eaten from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.
Another significant point is, why is God so opposed to humans having knowledge of good and evil? Isn't that something we ought to know? The whole plot of the bible is straight up retarded if you really look at it. God creates humans knowing exactly what they are going to do, he even designed them in such a way that they would end up doing that, knowingly, he gets mad anyway, curses them, decides the *only* way he can forgive them is by impregnating a human woman with a human version of himself and then dying for us, because that makes sense.
He could have just forgiven us without doing that. He could have designed us better, or not cursed us. Plus, the whole idea in Christianity that god made some huge sacrifice makes no sense, because Jesus is God, what is God really losing by dying in his human form and going back up in heaven to rule in paradise forever? You Christians do realize that the idea of a deity is a man made concept, right? Back in the days of early humans, we bowed, worshiped, prayed to, and feared the sun, then we did that to fire, then to the rest of nature, and now we fear our imagination. You know, I use this exact argument with Christians. One of them said it was because God wanted to give us free will but free will doesn't necessarily mean choose good or bad right? If the tree was never there in the first place than Adam and eve would still have free will and wouldn't have sinned.
I'm Catholic and I must say what Repzion said makes a lot of sense, reason and logic. Also made me open my eyes. Though I'm still Catholic, I still greatly respect and love Jesus and the selflessness by dying on the cross, I'm not religious and more spiritual but also pragmatic and unorthodox. And I don't think we're all born-sinners, as I've come to realize; are we automatically guilty of something from the past the moment we're born? I still question and doubt things. I look at things critically, nothing wrong with that.
I think these Christians are too zealous, narrow-minded, judgmental and limited. I hate the fact these Christians judge others, especially for having a different belief; I have a friend from Maine who is Pagan. I hate these Christians who appear to be too zealous, where they're like forcing their beliefs onto others and say they sinned this and that. Those are the kind of Christians I'm having a problem with as it made me doubt religion.
