I think it's safe to say that the look of Feras's Corvette qualifies as "iconic" now - naked kevlar with the Momo livery, the chopped fenders with turbos hanging out too damn cool!!! Love seeing him get to tour that thing on world renowned TA tracks. Kinda hilarious how some big names across the world in time attack have enough respect for Feras & the car he's built to help him travel the world to compete on famous circuits - but some of the randos in the comments can't even give him a fraction of that respect😂
I was there at Tsukuba in person and let me tell you, that vette was the highlight of the event and the most demonic thing I have ever heard on the circuit.

I would love to see Gobstopper 3 to be in WTAC cause the car I think it’s on the same level with RP968 It can generate 2tons of downforce at 160mph!! and every time it goes in a UK track destroys all the records
Yeah with Hoosiers A7/soft slicks. Japanese mainly run (ran, i should say) semi-slicks like Advan A050 to even the playing field. No to say the Canadian driver wasn't amazing, nor was his car, but the full slicks gave him an advantage that day.
It's better than that DocTalker shit that some people still use. But the producer could use a little more creativity in writing the words that the AI fumbles over. I.e., instead of using "Tsukuba," they could just use the word "Scooba" or something that would sound a bit more accurate when pronounced by the AI. In the end, it's the sound that the viewers hear that matters more than the written script and if those obstacles were overcome, I think a lot less people would notice and/or care about it.
@@everydaydose7779 a GT3 car making 600hp makes way less downforce than this does. Way less drag, too - so the ratio that matters here is power vs downforce divided by drag.

"Overboost" means they hit the programmed boost cut in the ECU. You set a max amount of boost that you're OK with the engine getting, and, if it exceeds that number, it pulls ignition timing. Literally standard tuning stuff - but apparently we have an irrational bias about this car that a dude has built and driven by himself that's laying down these kinds of lap times...
They mostly focus on light weight and high cornering speeds, which low power NA cars are ideal for. This 1000hp Corvette focuses on high power and downforce. It’s just two different ways of achieving a fast lap time. No one is telling the Japanese guys that they aren’t allowed to build 1000+ hp cars. If they wanted to, they would.
