Hello there Mike!! What a nice surprise, a narrated walking tour! I'm just loving it (didn't watch it all yet); you give so many interesting facts while you're walking, and lead the viewer into a much more intense awareness about the place you're walking in. Loved the market tour starting at 19:05. This is a very nice feature you're bringing into your channel. And it makes me wonder if I should try something similar as well :) Let's see!! I hope you are both well, and I hope I can be in touch more often. Sending you best wishes from Porto! :) and well done!

Hello there our lovely friend Pedro, Glad you enjoyed it... what a pleasure to hear from you. I have a grand idea! We could have a zoom chat sometime and record ourselves respectively and then run the chat/interview in the background of one of your Lisbon walks as if we are there together! Been thinking about that for a while and I reckon it'd work really well and be lots of fun. What do you think? Shall we chat more? Maybe private message us either way. Hope you're having a great time in Porto, look forward to seeing the footage. Maybe that colab' re' Madeira might be poss' too?

Apparently the practice of burying butter in peat bogs goes back 3500 years. And yes, there's some butter in the Cork museum that's over 1000 years old. (Big doubts about whether it's still edible though.)

Here at a US Costco, I just bought "Kerrygold Pure Irish Butter, Salted, 8 oz, 4-count" for $14.50. I bought three boxes ($43.50 total). That will tell you how much we like Irish Butter! Of course, we like almost anything Irish. We'll be in Ireland this June with our two sons and their 4 kids (our grandkids). This will be our 2nd visit to Ireland. Our 1st visit was 23 years ago.

Hope you have a great time in Ireland this June with all the family, I'm sure there's been many changes in those 23 years but I'm you'll all love it. Don't forget a pint of 2 of Murphy's in a town pub and a listen to some great Irish music!

I'm so glad I got to see this & it's such a contrast from Madeira!
I can't believe how much Cork has changed since it's been well over 10 years since I last properly set foot there, & job well done with your knowledge of the place as you more than likely did as well as a local, if not better with explaining things!
I'd definitely go for Murphy's or Beamish over Guinness any day given the choice, but poncha will always win lol!
You've inspired me now to do a walking tour of my adopted hometown of Kilkenny, but that probably won't be until next year now, however I did create a few vlogs during the first lockdown using my phone on a gimbal before my Pocket 2 purchase.
Have a wonderful week my friends! 🤗

Happy to have inspired you to do a walking tour of your adopted hometown of Kilkenny next year. You might like to know that the shortest and the longest funeral in history was to Curraghkippane cemetery Ballysheehy about 5k outside the city, the shortest was cemetery employee who lived in the cottage in the cemetery grounds, and the longest was a Cork sailor who died on board the ship that he worked on they were off the coast of South America and because of commitments to their itinerary they had to sail westward to return home, very interesting story done you agree, greetings from a local Corkman🇮🇪☘️😘

Excellent walking tour and commentary. I liked the fact that your video was of the city streets, businesses and landmarks and not mostly about you. So many TH-camrs seem compelled to film their own faces over and over, interrupting enjoyment of the local sights. This self promotion becomes annoying after a while.

I wanna scream aloud as Im looking inside my future home, Cork. I married Irish and fell in LOVE with Spain and Spanish 5 years later. Escaping from retiring in the US, Ireland is my only real choice for citizenship. I don´t «dislike nor hate» Ireland, and Im particularly fascinated with Cork. In fact, if not for Cork I wouldn´t dare move to Ireland! I hate Dublin! What´s going to make Cork doable for me is friends. I yearn to make a friend who wants to learn Spanish and loves all things Spanish as I do. I look at the scene here in Cork and I feel PANIC. I´m from Orlando, Florida, the world´s capital tourist city of the entire planet, for reasons. What if I can´t do it? What if the weather in Ireland is too much? I don´t want to feel this way and anywhere without friend would feel exactly like this. All this, «you´ll be fine. You´ll love it» from him is just making it worse! Don´t BS me! That´s my motto.

Hey Pablo, having an Irish side to my family, I can say that the friendliness of the Irish people is going to more than make up for the weather. You can always head off to sunny Spain if you miss the heat - it's just a short hop and cheap flight away. But I think that the welcome you're going to feel when you move will really surprise you.

Having been to Orlando in January, I found the weather very hot....but im a cold creature .

@@annieroche22 Hey good folks, this is for all. I'm going to dedicate myself to loving Cork this December, as well as meeting all the wonderful people who already live there and have called it home for a long time. I am as well highly motivated to meet Spaniards in Cork and help them out in any way that I can. My body is Irish but, my heart and soul are Spanish. Great mix, by the way. One of the most successful and friendliest combos of Europe. Always find the beauty and you'll have no time for the rest. Orlando is FUN! Expensive. It will make our retirement possible so, nothing negative there. We own a house here. Florida has been my home for ¨a few years¨. Looking forward to meeting oil painters, artists, poets and folks interested in speaking Spanish and enjoying CORK and all the good it brings to the world. I teach Spanish for FREE.
