4:10 - I think you misunderstood what the dealership person said, there's no ban on 4 cylinder engines or above in Portugal. That would be absurd. In the urban option the majority of ICE vehicles are 4 cylinder and every rental car company have luxury options, where you can find vehicles with 6 or even 8 cylinder engines. 5:38 - In Portugal it's impossible to put diesel on a gasoline vehicle because the width of the gasoline's filling pipe is narrower than the the diesel nozzle. Unfortunately, for that same reason you can accidentally put gasoline in a diesel vehicle. 10:35 - There's no such thing as a fast lane in Portugal and the slow lane only exists on steep uphill sections and it's mainly for vehicles that lose speed in those sections due to transporting or towing cargo or to being old and underpowered. You can drive at the speed limit in any lane (bearing in mind that it's mandatory to keep right on motorways). 20:15 - Some of those signs are wrong: the signs that indicate the end of a prohibition are all grey, the expressway/motorway sign is blue and the "One Way" sign is square.
Thank you so much for your reply and it is quite possible I was misinformed at dealer but do keep in mind also my tongue-in-cheek humor along the way. "Mandatory to keep right" on the motor ways is what was being referred to in terms of the lanes. Thanks again for watching!
Thank you. Just what I was looking for. Renting a car there soon.
