I woke up earlier than normal today. Started the day off with a light workout and made home made breakfast for the wee ones. It was going to be a good day.

I listen to lorna and slaughter all the time. I grew up and cut my teeth on puritania by dimmu.
This song goes so hard so quickly and ends so abruptly after going harder and faster with every change up that it's difficult for me to keep up.
That's not a criticism at all for me this is something new to get used to.
What I am critical of is that I have recently found FIR to have a short shelf life. After a year or so on my Playlist I find myself feeling the song is over played to me. And I end up removing it. This one feels like it's either going to stay for years or get removed after a few months with no in between.
Love the thoughts on this. Yeah I think everybody is gonna see things differently and hang on to things for differently lengths of time based on that but it always makes me super happy to see people thinking about music and what they like / don't like.

I found my own active listening method thanks to things you mentioned and pointed out in videos on songs I thought I knew well. Thanks to you I have gotten out of a musical rut where I was listening to the same Playlist from 2007 until late 2020. I added one band to the rotation in 2013 (Tyr) but I never added anything else to the Playlist. But now I have multiple Playlist for different moods and music now helps me fight the natural slumps that we all get.

What are u on bro? It's not that hard to identify the drum pattern if you have been listening to metalcore or if you are a drummer or musician in general. I do this all the time with new songs. He's not selling out, he's enjoying the song

Chase has been reacting to different metal songs for YEARS and is a musician himself, and you're surprised he can pick up on an instrumental change?
