Virtua Fighter was ALWAYS the future! Playing it since the very first one and can't believe, that we really finally get a complete new one, after all these VF5/VF5R/VF5FS/VF5US years. The KING is BACK!
I hope Team Ninja look at Virtua Fighter coming back and decide to give Dead or Alive another go. I'm all for more 3D fighting games coming back. More competition is good.
this is exactly what we want for the PROS! All moves, blocks, reversals, and combos should be connectable and stoppable at any moment, a full control version for pro fighters, and an auto-assist system for beginners to have a huge margin for progression and appeal to all audiences and skill levels. This game is going to be incredible in terms of merit, and imagine the high-level fights! This is exactly what I'm doing in one of my projects! The principle of this new Virtua Fighter is to cancel everything, chain afterwards, and if it works, all moves should be connectable to each other, potentially leading to combos at any moment. This is exactly "my project" and it's pure, real, natural fighting, nothing more, nothing less... In principle, there should be a punch button, a kick button, a guard button, and a charge button for connections. There will surely be an option to facilitate the game with an AI counter mode that can be activated or deactivated. In VF, the timing of the buttons and the duration of the press play a role. They will create a consistent version for beginners and disable certain auto-scripts for combat and/or defense gradually to reach the widest audience. Having a chain reaction of moves seems unlikely because the connections follow a human logic and/or a kata-type could be more accurate. The connections are effective only in the logic of the kata and what is also possible to do in reality! I'm not sure if the idea is well expressed. In any case, it's on this principle that I have to create my little fighting game, ultra simple graphically but extremely coherent. Unfortunately, it seems that this VF is going to do exactly what I wanted to implement...
Thanks for this. I just love that the hype for VF when from 0 to 100 real quick. Like maybe 4 or 5 years ago no one was talking about VF at all. I only messed with it casually in the past so I'm excited to learn how its played.
Oh come on.. When VF5 fs cameout it was 14 $ and if you wanted full customization and extrad modes you paid 30.. Are yu talking about other companies's monetization ?
Does anyone else feel like the concept trailer should've been released first? Cause the snippet from the announcement trailer seemed to be an actual build of the game coming to us.
Yeah, weird choice. Add to the fact that the game awards trailer was made around 3 months before the reveal in december, that would mean that it is the most recent gameplay footage. (Development time-wise)
The FGC is always over hyping something just from trailers and CGI videos, people should always wait for actual game play videos before commenting on how great or bad a game may be and never fall into the hype.
@studivan But showing the sequence of footage in this order just causes confusion and could affect the marketing of the game. I think Sega wanted VF to be announced at the TGAs, so they reached out to Geoff, but Geoff wanted footage that represents actual gameplay for his show, so he paid them to get that footage when the former footage was probably offered. Thoughts?
Gotta say, I'm very excited about this game. The first trailer seems to show more what the game will actually look like - and that's already plenty good enough. Also - really enjoying the stuff you guys are putting out, thank you.
There is a big difference in the announcement trailer and the concept trailer, I believe the announcement trailer is closer to what we are going to get and we shouldn't be talking about the future of fighting games until the game is released, how many times have we seen concept videos and the released game was nothing like it, does anyone remember the Watch Dogs concept trailer and what we actually got?
Just one VF character costs more money and time than any other character of any other fighting games but who knows.. Maybe they were working secretly on the game more than we think.. Plus RGG fast devs + Sega AM2 wizardry.. who knows.
VF6 has a chance if they do the right DLC's and world tour mode to be in it's own unique space in the FGC. Also, casuals will love this game if this is the gameplay direction their going.
This is giving me deja vu to that SF5 reveal at Capcom Cup 2014. The "demonstration" that Mike Ross and Combo Fiend performed. SF5 ended up being a bit different but it was great to see a sample of the game at the time right? Does Virtua Fighter have those body horizontal "bounce" combos that Tekken has? That stuff really takes away from the amazing aesthetic IMO. Tekken still wild AF and dope though It looks amazing and I want to see a "new" big budget 3D fighting game.
I think the interactions are a bit too smooth, too perfect, to be real time gameplay. It looks like a choregraphy for the second trailer. Maybe I'm wrong.
it looks weak, UFC or WWE thing, does it have the "EA sport its in the game" intro 😂 if its not a haduken like fighting game then its weak its like comparing a modified rally or a nascar to a non modified one
It's obvious at this point. VF is like a fine wine.
Virtua Fighter was ALWAYS the future! Playing it since the very first one and can't believe, that we really finally get a complete new one, after all these VF5/VF5R/VF5FS/VF5US years. The KING is BACK!
I'm hoping it'll light a fire under all the other fighting games, we need some healthy competition.
It looks like a top tier concept, hope it takes off!
So happy to see TWO LEGENDS talking about an incoming legend
Shoalin vs WuTang 2 got that ol school feel. The right team will make it #1.
This VF is in the lead already ahead of Tekken 8 IMO
That game was made by one person it's great.
Keep grinding. I'm loving the videos and you and Steve are making this channel a must see.
Thank you for checking them out and supporting us.

And no censorship or predatory microtransactions to bypass that censorship!
I wish it had Akira's familiar move set while showing the smooth fighting engine.
That was done on purpose and it hurts after watching the traiiers😂
Since this was pre development, they had no bajiquan master to mocap in the moment. Thankfully the game awards trailer shows us his actual style.

This is evolution in front of us
Virtua Fighter 6 is going to sh!t in Tekken 8's mouth and Tekken 8 will enjoy it.

I just hope their monetization is not as bad as their other games

Hard to know until it's more than a thrown together tech demo using Yakuza animations

SO HYPE FOR A GAME, ITS BEEN YEARS!
After dropping the anime casino tekken 8 I am so glad I see a new diamond as a fighting game.
SEGA putting in crazy work for this game.
The second trailer has me losing my mind.
I am hoping it is coming this year.
That would be amazing but unlikely? I can hope too.
@@teamspooky Yeah you're right mid-2026 seems more likely
Just one VF character costs more money and time than any other character of any other fighting games but who knows.. Maybe they were working secretly on the game more than we think..
Plus RGG fast devs + Sega AM2 wizardry.. who knows.
SO CLEAN!
Glad you liked it!
Salute Tasty Steave and Spooky. The new footage of VF looks great. I am definitely looking forward to the new game. Thanks for the upload.

I will let you know if it’s the future after there is a playable build . For now it’s just a future thought
What a great duo!!!
"Yes".
Can't wait to be absolute ass at this game
I think the interactions are a bit too smooth, too perfect, to be real time gameplay. It looks like a choregraphy for the second trailer. Maybe I'm wrong.
No your right, the FGC is always over hyping something, just from a CGI video and the actual game is nothing like the video but time will tell.
"Not actual gameplay"
If only people could read...
Joel join fighting games virtua fighter 6
We don’t need comeback mechanics in this game. But maybe, a super meter? That’ll be fun.
Absolutely not.
it looks weak, UFC or WWE thing, does it have the "EA sport its in the game" intro 😂
if its not a haduken like fighting game then its weak
its like comparing a modified rally or a nascar to a non modified one
I'm so hype, even if the game is a little bit like the footage it that would be amazing.
If there is any type of crazy up close combat like that second trailer, It'll be mindblowing
