In yoga, there's six chakras in human body, this is called Vasi(breathing) yoga. This Vasi is controlled by aadisakti(vaalai) These six points are, moolam/reproductive organ(brahma), thonthi/stomach(Vishnu), nenjile(heart)(rudra), kandam/neck( maha eesa), nethi/forehead(sadashiva). As you controll your vaasi through your nostrils(kattaathe kaalai, valaikkavendum, meaning we have two nostrils, so we have to control the breath of these two nostrils which is like the two horns of a bull) Once, you focus your energy towards your nethi, here sadashiva helps to open your third eye. And from here onwards, Shiva(who is at the skull, uchi, the sixth cakra) with his aadhisakthi, pulls the soul towards salvation. The soul becomes god, seevan Sivam aaguthal. Sivam aaki ennai aanda - thiruvasagam. At this stage, there's no rebirth for soul, as it merges with god and gets eternal Bliss. Also, Murugan also considered Shiva, he has six faces, denoting these six chakras. Sadashiva have 5 faces, shiva has six faces (the sixth face is athomugam). So murugan and shiva are same. Vaasi become Sivaa. The main message by kongana siddar is, to get salvation, before this body(kaayam) dies. Because, once you die, we dont know which body you will get, you can be born as anything, based on your karma, only shiva knows. So, in Saiva sitthandam, it is advised to reach salvation before dying. So, theres guarantee for no more rebirth. Also, regarding salvation, yoga, as mentioned by konganar siddhar is just one way of reaching salvation. In sitthandam, theres many other ways to reach God. Now, to reach this salvation, we use the mantra nama Sivaya. This is called anjezhutu(five letters). Note, all mantras have om in front, but anjezhutu don't have om. Cause, Shiva is half sakti. He is the possessor of sakti, he gives sakti to other souls. From sadashiva to brahma, from humans to bacteria gets sakti from Shiva. So shiva's mantra don't have om. Now what is this namasivaya. Nama means to become spoilt in Tamil, namathu poothal. Si(sigaram/god), VA(vagaram/sakti/mercy) and Ya(yagaram/soul). By constantly saying namasivaya, the soul gets spoiled and become Siva. Na(nagaram/aanava/ignorance) and ma(nagaram/maaya). This ignorance(nagaram) causes soul to suffer eternally. Hence, god uses his sakti(vagaram) to soften the ignorance by introducing Maya(magaram). Using Maya soul can distinguish between ignorance and god and get salvation. So, namasivaya (means there's three things, eternal, ignorance(paasam), soul(pasu) and god(pathi). Now, as you say namasivaya, you'll realize nama is suffering and Shiva is bliss. Then, soul starts to say sivayanama( god comes first then other worldly priorities). Now, as you say sivayanama(anjezhutu), soul realizes only god is priority no other priorities (sivayasiva, anjezhutu), here soul puts itself surrounded by God only. As a final stage, god gives salvation, the soul now still has a body(due to its birth karma). Untill the body is gone, the soul will be still alive, but once gone, it reaches God. Now for these souls, they say Siva Siva(this is also anjezhutu, the ya is concealed inside Siva, so it is still five syllables). This is what we call seevan Sivan aaguthal. Soul becomes god. So, in Vaasi yogam, we use this anjezhutu according to different souls maturity, some will say namasivaya and some will say Siva Siva, to reach God. But, again like I said this is just one way to reach Shiva. In sitthandam, we say there's infinite ways to reach Shiva, as he is all prevading and infinite. So, according to each individual souls, capacity and will, Shiva will give salvation. Pul uyirkum puchi punarnthaai - thevaram. Meaning, even to small beings/plants or insects you give salvation. Pathalam ezhunum kizh, sotkalivu paatham malar - thiruvasagam. Meaning, even if you to lower(kizh) hells(pathalam), Shiva will give you mercy. So, in siddhantam we don't say this is the only way to reach God. Cause, god can change the rules or create new rules. Hence, Vasi yogam is just one small part in siddhantam. But, like I said, some like to do yoga, so they explain about yoga and how they got the bliss. You can try, but again, it's according to your will, if you don't like it or not matured enough, or maybe too matured, yoga might not be for you. But, you can always try. But, before doing yoga you just do some self cleansing first. That's why many people find it hard to do yoga. They just do yoga, without the initial steps, haha. Also, without doing the initial steps, some might get side effects like depression or mental disturbances. The initial steps are deep. I'm not include it here, as it is not the main point of this comment. Another modification to vaasi yogam, is Kundalini yoga. In Kundalini there are also six cakras, but nethi is the sixth chakras. Regarding the cakras, there's another technical detail, but, I'm not including it here as it's too deep into siddhantam. For now just know six cakras. In Kundalini, nethi is God(Shiva), neck is sadashiva, heart is maha eesa, stomach is rudra, genital is Vishnu and end of spinal cord is brahma. In Kundalini, reaching the nethi(Shiva) is salvation. In Vaasi, we reach nethi, but still that's not salvation, god(Shiva) will carry you upwards (uchi) for salvation. So, kundalini is basically a subset of vaasi. Vaasi, tells that salvation is beyond kundalini. Basically, Sanskrit vedas(upanishad) talks about Kundalini and Tamil sitthandam talks about vaasi. whatever, that's told in Sanskrit is contained in Tamil. But, whatever told in Tamil is not contained in Sanskrit. The reason we don't take, end of spinal cord as one cakra is, anatomical speaking end of spinal cord is lumbar (L1, bone) which is above reproductive organs. So it doesn't make sense. If you follow end of spinal bones(coccyx) then it is lower than genitals. But, spinal bones(coccyx) is a non vital organ in human body, unlike the genitals, stomach, heart, neck or brain. So, Tamils follow five chakras(plus the cakra at uchi, sixth), but those follow Kundalini regards six cakras(untill nethi). But, again spiritually speaking this difference is not very major, as Tamils also say soul can only reach untill nethi(sixth cakra in Kundalini). After the nethi, it's god's mercy to lift the soul towards salvation. So, although from a worldly(scientific) point of view, Sanskrit is wrong but, spiritually it is accepted. But, of course Kundalini is more famous in western world as, north Indians who are majority in India, spread Sanskrit texts more to western world. But, again, haha, spiritually speaking, it doesn't matter, cause like I said yoga is only one way to achieve salvation. It doesn't mean others can't achieve salvation. Also, truth don't need to be spread or preached. If you really want it, it will reach you somehow. Only fake things and false promises needs advertisment and people to spread it. Truth doesn't need any support.
