This was definitely one of your funniest reviews-- my husband and I were wheezing at "distracted by BUTTS" and "there was not food at my prom. Not even punch." I really like Footloose! I hadn't actually seen it since I was a kid, although I was SUPER obsessed with the soundtrack to the 1998 musical version in middle school. Yeah. Both Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow have been following me around recently-- watched Diner like a week ago, and on top of watching Buckaroo Banzai a while back, Lithgow popped up in a recent rewatch of All That Jazz. I'm really digging the rounder picture of a lot of actors this 80's film education is giving me!
My prom was like a sit-down wedding reception, not the fire-hall kinda wedding receptions we are used to in Southeastern Pa, or any part of Pa for that matter. We have more fire departments than any other state, and 2x as many as California in #2. They’re part of the local culture
Spokane was notoriously stingy - I didn't have food at my prom either :-( (sister here, BTW) I checked with Morgan because I was pretty sure she went to *two* proms - one at a rival school - but it was just a homecoming dance.
@@IngridRichter Thanks, Ingrid. I wonder what the root cause was, makes no sense. I hope it was still fun for you. I have a 22-year-old friend who lives in Spokane. I'll ask her if she had the same experience. Give my regards to your super cool sis!
One of my all - time favourites. I went to see it with the couple I babysat for ..... needless to say there were red faces all around during the shower scenes and slight anxiety that my parents would be mad. My 17yr old niece adores this version, the remake ....meh, not so much. I miss Chris Penn..... imo, a better actor than his brother.
This is one of my Top 3 films of the 80s😀😀
I watched both this film and Flashdance for the first time on International Dance Day (April 29th) this year.
Great video. Thanks Morgan.
A+ video!
LOVE IT! Awesome explanation, analysis, and review of the film!
I also murdered the Footloose theme in front of my whole school! I love this channel!

I mean, twenty bucks is twenty bucks.

Curious where Morgan's prom was held. NO food??

No food or punch at your prom? I sympathize.
Damn. Morgan seems kind of bitter there wasn't any food at her prom. LOL
