    A dark world but a world that can't go ignored. Thank you for putting it under the microscope in this video.

    Shockingly sad truths but it’s a worthy series to dig deeper into issues like these.

      Agreed, it is a harsh world that needs to be in the spotlight. Hopefully in the next few videos we can tell some more inspirational stories instead.

    Very sad when you see the scale that it operates at, but an interesting video, and important to talk about these things if they are ever to be stopped

      We will try to go a bit more in depth and also provide more of an insight on how some of these species are being saved as well. I hope everyone will find it useful :)

    zoologist, but herpetologist specifically giving my advice for other avid snake and lizard keepers.
    PLEASE, buy bred snakes. don't buy wildcaught, theyre cheaper but they are more aggressive and taken from their home. research a breeder, and leave wild snakes outside (unless they're injured severely, then personally I would take them in. ie a garter snake got a head injury from a lawnmower.)

    Pointing the spotlight at these trades is admittedly a depressing task but a very important one, like anything it's far more complicated than it seems on the surface. You need to know your enemy to have a chance at victory, so hopefully we can help provide some of that knowledge!

    Your videos are insightful and I wish they were a subject in High school so people learnt early that animals are in danger and need help. All that’s being done is a sign of survival and really everyone is aware of the fact that you aren’t allowed to take what ever you want. It would be perfect if one day soon the world would look at animals as having as much rights as a rich man.

    I was just wondering… I hat are your views on bunking with permits and tags, for example how they hunt bears, deer and ect in the usa

    • @MossyEarth
      @MossyEarth  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My general understanding is that it tends to work rather well in most states as a replacement for natural predators. In our eyes we would have no need for hunters and we could have predators everywhere. However, in a realistic world, the management of large herbivore populations with a tag system that funds conservation work is a good idea. I must say I do not know enough about it to give you a solid reply on this. Maybe we could cover this system in a future video? - Cheers, Duarte

    The more I learn about politics, the more I realize ecological issues desperately need their own political affiliation and party as they usually go underreported.
