I have used the jumbo Joe version several times. Great product
Thanks for watching! Yup, the slow roller, although I’m not sure that it fits a Weber 22
Thanks Tom. That looks like an awesome product. Those short ribs looked like they were delicious.
Thanks Bill! They were!
Can you use a Weber charcoal basket with the smoke and sizzle? Do they both fit in a 22” grill?
Thanks for watching Phil! Haven’t tried, but I believe it would fit
Agreed, those are some nice welds. 😎👏🍻
Looks like a really cool product. Thanks for the review! I might have to get this one
Thanks for watching Kevin! Works very well!
Remarkably better than a Slow N Sear. A water trough you can actually use/fill, and only 64 bucks?!?! C’mon now, that’s a steal. Thanks for showing me a way better alternative to the SnS!!!
Thanks for watching!
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ did you happen to measure how much liquid the basin of this will hold?
Or, I can check the internet. 32oz from both products, but this one is simple to refill while cooking.
@irvingdog01 Thanks for looking that up!
I've never made short ribs on any of my grills/smokers. Definitely a bucket list cook for me. Those look awesome and like you pointed out, great smoke ring.
This is a lower cost alternative to a SnS. I have a SnS, but I have to admit, I've had better temperature control by manually setting up the charcoal in a snake method.
Most of the premium Weber kettles come with charcoal baskets. You can also set both on the same side of the grill. It's not a perfect fit, but it works. (need to bridge briquets over the 2 baskets to keep the burn going, a small wood chuck or chips in that corner help)
Thanks for Watching Ted! Agreed on the SNS and the Weber Charcoal Baskets
Very nice cook Tom
Agreed! Thanks for watching Eric!
Just ordered one
Thanks for Watching! Enjoy!
im glad south milwaukee walmart has started selling the orange bag b&b charcoal
Good to know! Thanks for watching!
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ beautiful weber as well ive neglected mine for a long time because of the gs800 but have started using mine again
Thanks! If your ever in the market for something, let me know and I’ll hook you up for cheap since you live so close
My best cooks come from my webber kettle.
Thanks for watching! Agreed!
Maybe cut the grate on the webber for an opening then you could add wood.
Thanks for watching! I didn’t show it but this grate had the flip up side to add more charcoal
Thoughts on this compared to the old Smokenator?
Thanks for Watching! What’s amazing is that I’ve never tried it…. I’m going to order one
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I bought one (Smokenator) for my son after I bought him a kettle but he’s not tried it yet. It’s an OG smoking device for the kettle. I’ll have to buy him a brisket for Christmas to get him to try it! Lol.
Does the ignition smoke of the fresh charcoal give it any bad taste?
Thanks for Watching! You would wait until that is gone before putting the ribs on. Good question
Looks kinda like a slow n sear . Comments ?
Thanks for watching…. Allot cheaper…
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQNot if you already have the SnS. Plus, it doesn’t have the SnS water pan feature.
Thanks for watching! You need to look closer the water pan feature is already attached and allot cheaper
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQno hate on the cheaper alternatives- I’ve had the OG slow n sear and drip pan since 2016 and it’s still perfect. Let’s see if this one is the same. Of course, since I bought mine, the sns and other accessories are now made offshore too.
@@JBishop25 I still like the air director from Hunsaker grills using an aluminum pan for the water. I think its made in the USA.
for the same price, would you recommend the smoke and sizzle or slow n sear, thanks again.
Thanks for watching Dan! Not sure what you’re asking, they’re not even close in price. To get the same as the smoke and sizzle you would need the slow and sear and the drip n griddle. I’ll be doing a comparison video next couple of weeks, thanks
@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ thanks! I picked up a.cyber Monday slow n sear for $60 and since I just got the chargriller I haven't ventured far in my land of grills to try the slow n sear yet, and since it's Amazon was considering replacing it
Does that work with those ceramic insert you also reviewed?
Thanks for watching Gerald! It does not
Hi Tom! Nice Find.......worth getting just for the Shiny True Stainless!!! 👍🤘
Nice ring and tenderness on the Ribs! 👍
I finally made a Vid using the OnlyFire ring. \🔥/
Hope Santa has lots more Toys for You this year. 🎄
Thanks for stopping by Ken! I’ll check out the Vid! Merry Christmas!
Looks like a decent product, although I’m not a huge fan that it’s built in China.
Thanks for Watching Brandon! Agreed!
Pass.
Thanks for watching!
No waaaaaay no hooooooow…
lol! Thanks for Watching Daniel
